Rep. Cynthia Lummis claims people planning to die before 12/31/10 to avoid Obama's estate taxes

Hmm...

CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis said Friday that some of her Wyoming constituents are so worried about the reinstatement of federal estate taxes that they plan to discontinue dialysis and other life-extending medical treatments so they can die before Dec. 31.

Speaking at a news conference she called to discuss the creation of new jobs in Wyoming, Lummis declined to name any of the people who have made the comments about preferring death to a tax increase. The Republican is running for a second term as the state's lone voice in the U.S. House.

Lummis said many ranchers and farmers in the state would rather pass along their businesses -- "their life's work" -- to their children and grandchildren than see the federal government take a large chunk.

New PPP Poll: Rand Paul Headed for Easy Win

A New PPP poll has Rand Paul defeating Demo KY AG Jack Conway 55% to 40%.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2010 Paul headed for easy victory Rand Paul has expanded his lead in the Kentucky Senate race even further over the last week and is headed for a blowout win. His margin over Jack Conway is 55-40. Kentucky is obviously a conservative state. Conway's ability to win was always going to depend on getting a lot of folks who supported John McCain in 2008 to vote Democratic for the Senate this time around. The most amazing finding on this final poll is that Rand Paul is actually picking up more Obama voters (15%) than Conway is McCain...

This is inspite of Conway running one of the dirtiest campaigns in the country. His anti_Paul "Aqua Buddha" ad was a really low blow. This weekend, desperate Jack Conway supporters have been robo-calling claiming Rand Paul supports legalizing meth labs.

Demo Dirty Tricks: Robo-Call Claims Rand Paul Supports Legalizing Meth Labs

I received a robo-call this afternoon from the Kentucky Leadership Council claiming Rand Paul wants to legalize meth labs. The caller repeated this claim several times. The Kentucky Leadership Council is a shadowy Democrat supporting group that hides their donors. According to the Daily Caller, they have launched another robo-call campaign claiming Rand Paul isn't a Christian. Both claims are false. The group directed me to a one page website containing a YouTube video. The website doesn't directly repeat the same false claim about meth labs, but the video does claim Paul supports legalizing drugs. Rand Paul is quoted out of context in the video saying,
"things that are non-violent shouldn't be against the law"

Rand Paul made the comment in response to a question about helmet laws and whether adults should have the right to either gamble or buy lottery tickets. Conway has previously used Paul's out of context statement in a political ad that Politifact judged false.

The Kentucky Leadership Council has spent $132,000 trying to defeat Rand Paul and throw the election to Democrat Jack Conway. Here is the false video ad, posted on YouTube, the robo-call is directing people to watch.

Strict Journalistic Standards? NPR’s Totenberg is ‘Very Afraid’ of Elections

Apparently, NPR doesn't have a problem with correspondents 'being afraid' as long as it is of Republicans and Tea Party candidates winning.

It has come to this: Barney Frank calls in Michael Dukakis to rally base

Michael Dukakis? Dukakis lost in 1988 to George H.W. Bush, carrying only 10 states and the District of Columbia. Perhaps, Michael Dukakis will loan Barney Frank his tank!

fleming and hayes reported"
October 30, 2010 - In a last-minute move of desperation,dukakis-tank-717905 Barney Frank called in former governor and presidential-nominee, Michael Dukakis, to help him rally support...amongst his base in the liberal town of Brookline (well, maybe not so liberal anymore). Finding a Barney Frank event these days is harder to do than one might think. Despite the fact that Frank is truly fighting the reelection campaign of his life to republican challenger Sean Bielat, he's staying peculiarly quiet and randomly popping up at small events amongst democrats. Ever since we organize a counter-rally to protest former President Bill Clinton's visit to stump for Frank, Barney has avoided publicly announcing his campaign events...

Blue Cross Jacks Insurance Rates $300 in Response to Obamacare

This isn't the change President Obama promised Americans. Blue Cross has announced massive health insurance premium increases.

It appears that, rather than making health care affordable as was promised, ObamaCare is taking our health insurance costs even higher—about $300 per month (or $3600 per year) higher. [Not that anyone with an IQ above an average AFSCME or SEIU member couldn't have figured it out anyway.]

Now, the “right” (read: soon-to-be mandate) of having health care insurance will only cost this family of five $17,705 per year. And, for what?…A couple of doctor visits per kid per year? The occasional prescription of antibiotics? The privilege of having a ‘just-in-case’ policy?

The Liar-in-Chief promised, over and over, to lower the average family premium by $2500 per year.

Obamacare is a big "Fail."

Boxer Resurrected Defunct Indian Tribe, Changed Bill to Allow Casino Gambling, Son Pockets $8 Million as Consultant?

Barbara Boxer's son reportedly made as much as $8 million in a failed (so far) attempt to build an Indian casino on the outskirts of San Francisco. When we dig into the reported details, we have to wonder if this isn't old fashioned corruption.
In 1998, Lynn Woolsey introduced legislation reinstating an Indian tribe in the wine country of Northern California that had been declared defunct by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1958...

In 2000, Boxer helpfully picked up the Woolsey bill, but changed the prohibition against gaming, and designated any land that the group owned to be considered as a reservation...

After getting the provision allowing the newly reconstituted Indian tribe to build a casino, the tribe reportedly hired two firms Barbara Boxer's son was a partner in.
The tribe turned its fortunes over to two firms to make its dreams of wealth come true — Platinum Advisers, a political consulting/lobbying firm, and Kenwood Investments 2. Amazingly, and I’m certain quite coincidentally, Barbara Boxer’s son, Doug, was a partner in each firm...

According to Reference.com, Doug Boxer’s take from the project was a very Abramoff-like $8 million.

It sounds like there may be a swamp here that needs draining...

Obama Warned Bush Not To Be ‘Stubborn’ After Dems Take Over Congress in 2006

That was good advice President Obama. You should take it. You said president Bush should take a signal from voters. Unfortunately, you will most likely need to buy a vowel to guess voters message.

Obama Rushes to Delaware This Weekend to Shore up Harry Reid's Pet

President Obama's official schedule doesn't mention a trip to Delaware this weekend, but Christine O'Donnell is closing the polling gap. Fear of an O'Donnell victory is causing President Obama to make an unplanned campaign stop to shore up Coons Harry Reid's pet.
RUSH: Obama is back to Delaware tomorrow. There is a new poll. The Monmouth University poll. Christine O’Donnell is within ten points. Two weeks ago she was down 57-38. She is within ten points. Coons has backed out of the final two debates, and in the Monmouth University poll, Christine O’Donnell is winning independents 47 to 42. In Delaware, there are a lot of Democrats fed up with the direction of the country who are going to vote Republican or who aren’t going to vote.

Jerry Brown Admitted He Lied to Become Governor (video)

Meg Whitman has some fun in a political ad with Jerry Brown's candid admission several years ago that he lied in order to be elected. It is unlikely he has changes in the intervening years.

Again

Via NewsBusters:
Interviewer: ...What did you lie about when you were governor?

Jerry Brown: It’s all a lie. You’re pretending there’s a plan…

Interviewer: What did you lie about?

Jerry Brown: You run for office and the assumption is “Oh, I know what to do”. You don’t. I didn’t have a plan for California. Clinton doesn’t have a plan. Bush doesn’t have a plan.

Interviewer: You said you had a plan for California and you lied because you didn’t have a plan?

Jerry Brown: You say you’re going to lower taxes, you’re going to put people to work, you’re gonna improve the schools, you’re going to stop crime… crime is up, schools are worse, taxes are higher. I mean be real!

Obama 2009: "Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won." Obama 2010: "We Need to Come Together'"

Eric Cantor went to the White house on day three of President Obama's presidency. At the time, Obama and Democrats had total control of the White House, Senate and House. Cantor tried to share ideas with President Obama for stimulating the economy and creating jobs. When Cantor pushed for small business tax-cuts, President Obama said,
"Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won."
Instead of business tax cuts that would have actually stimulated the economy, we got the failed Porkulus bill that only stimulated unions and other democratic special interest groups. Unemployment has skyrocketed to 9.5% since the Stimulus was passed and even President Obama is indirectly admitting Democrats made a mistake. Now a Republican and Tea Party Tsunami is about to wash control of the House, and perhaps the Senate, from Democrats hands. President Obama is "troubled" to hear Republicans aren't going to be in a compromising mood.
In his weekly address Saturday, Obama called recent comments made by two Republican leaders “troubling.”

He pointed out comments made by House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), who said this week that “this is not the time for compromise.”...

"Whatever the outcome on Tuesday, we need to come together to help put people who are still looking for jobs back to work," Obama said.

Go pound sand President Obama.

Is this the coolest political ad this year?

I vote for this ad.

Another Democrat Refuses to Support Pelosi

Rep. Steve Driehaus won't commit to supporting Nancy Pelosi as speaker if he wins re=election and Democrats retain control of the House. Both of those are big ifs at the moment. Driehaus’s opponent, former Rep. Steve Chabot (R), would like to remind voters Driehaus has voted with Nancy pelosi 94 percent of the time.

The Hill reported:
Ohio Rep. Steve Driehaus (D) became the latest House Democrat to refuse to commit to supporting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for another term.

In a chat with readers on Cincinnati.com, the endangered freshman said, “I expect Speaker Pelosi will have a challenge within the caucus. And I will hold my vote until I know who’s running for Speaker.”

Chris Matthews has a Nazi relapse

In April. Chris Matthews pleaded for an end to Nazi references. That was April. Now that we are only a few days from an election that is looking apocalyptic for Democrats, Nazi references are back in vogue with 'Tingles.'

Obvious: Communist Party USA Endorses Obama Alliance on Website

In the category of 'not so shocking news,' the Communist Party USA is urging their voters to get out and vote for the Obama alliance. By Obama alliance, they mean his fellow Democrats. They appear concerned the far-left course President Obama and Democrats have steered this county on will come to the end of the road if Republican and Tea Party candidates win this November. Let's make their worst nightmare come true.

Here is the text:
“If the grand alliance that elected Barack Obama comes out in full force to vote we can stop the Tea Party/Republican takeover, continue moving forward and push further for green jobs, union rights, health care and the safety net for the common good.”

Left-wing SEIU Groups Flood Arizona with fraudulent last minute voter registrations

Did you really expect anything different?

The Arizona GOP reported:
Ballots being mailed illegally, forged ballot requests, felons and illegals registering to vote and pressure on county employees by ACORN like groups. Chicago? Nope. Yuma, Arizona.

The Arizona Republican Party has uncovered direct evidence that Mi Familia Vota, Border Action, and Faith.Hope.Vote! who have direct ties to SEIU are attempting to influence the elections in Yuma County through fraudulent means. In the last 48 hours before the Permanent Early Voter List (PEVL) registration deadline of Friday, October 22nd, these organizations submitted 1,328 PEVL requests and then pressured the Yuma Recorder’s Office to process them by Monday.

In reviewing all PEVL requests made through what appears to be canvassing efforts by Mi Familia Vota and submitted on Friday, October 22nd, 113 of the 615 PEVL requests processed and mailed early ballots appear to be forged. Investigations revealed that contrary to state election regulations, an untold number of PEVL requests were not signature verified against Motor Vehicle Records, and investigators found concrete instances of forgery among the processed PEVL requests.

Harry Reid Claims, “I Don’t Carry The President’s Water"

After being President Obama's water-boy on the Stimulus and Obamacare, Harry Reid is now claiming “I Don’t Carry The President’s Water"... Uh, whatever you say Harry.

Arizona Immigration Law May Be Spreading

Up to 25 more states may join Arizona's attempt to help the Obama administration enforce immigration law next year. This should stimulate jobs at Eric Holder's DoJ.
An immigrant-rights group has released a report (PDF) predicting that 25 states may try next year to pass anti-illegal-immigration laws similar to Arizona’s controversial legislation...

Georgia, Mississippi, Oklahoma and South Carolina are most likely to pass a similar law next year, the new report says. Tennessee, Utah, Florida, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Colorado, Virginia, Minnesota, Missouri, Idaho and Kansas made the report’s “maybe” list. In Maryland, Nevada, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio and Rhode Island, the legislation is seen as less likely to pass.

CO2 Hog Al Gore Leaves Car Running One Hour at Swedish Seminar

Reducing their carbon footprints must be for the 'little people.' Al Gore is a complete phony.

Climate Depot reported:
Intriguingly, the Master of World Climate himself arrived in a rental car (with or without driver is unclear), from the airport, and subsequently left the engine running for the entire lecture. That is to say, about one hour. Incidentally, local legislation prohibits – for very good environmental reasons, i.e. pollution – any car engine running on empty for more than 60 seconds. Fines are severe. As far as I know, he was not fined.

Several commentators on other sites have asked for proof Al Gore was in Sweden recently. He was a speaker at a ""Sustainable Capitalism" seminar in Gothenburg, Sweden on November 25, 2010. He probably collected his normal six figure payday for speaking.

Democratic pollster finds 56 percent of likely voters want the President fired

Only 56%? Where have the other 44% been for the last 22 months?

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, rapped by the White House for pledging to make Barack Obama a one-term president, seems to have the support of a majority of Americans. A new poll provided to Whispers says that 56 percent of likely voters want the president fired.

According to pollster Doug Schoen, whose new poll shows vast support for the Tea Party movement among voters, the president is still liked by about half the nation. In fact, more like him personally than like his policies. Some 48 percent think he's a nice guy, while just 42 percent approve of his job performance.

France Surrenders in Afghanistan After Osama Bin Laden Threat

One day after Osama Bin Laden threaten to attack french citizens, France announces they are withdrawing from Afghanistan. Undoubtedly, Osama and Jihadists worldwide are encouraged.

CS Monitor reported:
France is leaving Afghanistan. Though President Obama has committed to reducing America’s footprint in Afghanistan beginning July 2011, the withdrawal of another ally is likely to add an additional layer of challenge to maneuver that reduction. And the timing of the announcement has put France’s decision under some scrutiny.

France’s announcement came a day after the release of a tape with a message believed to be from Osama Bin Laden, who threatened to attack French citizens because of their presence in Afghanistan and treatment of Muslims. French officials were quick to insist that there is “absolutely no link” between the threat and their decision to begin withdrawing troops in 2011.

The DNC begins 2012 Opposition Research on Nine Republicans by Asking Pentagon for Info

Democrats have started digging for dirt opposition research on nine Republican contenders for 2012. The DNC has filed a FOIA request for all correspondence between the Pentagon and these potential GOP contenders. ABC News has the list of names.
The nine Republicans that Democrats are seeking information on are former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska; former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.; Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss.; Gov. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn.; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga.; Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.; Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind.; Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La.

Democrats in Panic at Possibility of Christine O'Donnell Win

President Obama has spent time in Delaware and Democrats have focused a lot of attention and money on this race. If Christine O'Donnell has no chance, why is this? The truth is democrats are terrified O'Donnell will win. She has been gaining ground in recent polls and huge numbers of former Democrat voters appear to be pulling the straight Republican Party ticket this year.

Hill Buzz reported:
Yesterday, a poll went around showing Christine O’Donnell just five points behind Commie Coons in Delaware’s Senate race. This SORT OF explains the weird amount of time the White House has been spending in a slam dunk blue state.

But, Democrats are ferociously attacking CoD as hard as they attacked Scott Brown in Massachusetts. If she is so far behind, what is the point in beating up on this woman?

This is anecdotal, but I think I know why they are doing this…just like with Hottie McAwesome there are internals showing O’Donnell ahead.

SCOTUS Newest Liberal Votes to Stop Execution Because Execution Drug is Unsafe

You just can't make stuff like this up. President Obama's latest Supreme Court appointment, Elena Kagan, votes in dissent with liberals to stop an execution because the drugs used may be unsafe. Hmm... She must be afraid the drugs could actually kill the criminal being executed. Unbelievable.

The LA Times reported:
Washington…Justice Elena Kagan cast her first recorded vote on the Supreme Court late Tuesday, joining the liberals in dissent when the high court cleared the way for the execution of an Arizona murderer.

The 5-4 ruling overturned orders by a federal judge in Phoenix and the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco that had stopped the execution by lethal injection of Jeffrey Landrigan.

His lawyers, in a last-ditch appeal, had raised questions about one of the drugs used in the execution. Since the only U.S. manufacturer of sodium thiopental had suspended production, Arizona officials said they had obtained a supply of the drug from a British company.

A judge had put the execution on hold because she said she was "left to speculate" whether this drug was safe for its intended use.

Robert Gibbs Starts Lowering Expectations for Next Weeks Election

In particular, Gibbs is downplaying the effect President Obama's campaigning for Democrats will have. Actually, he pretty much admits Obama will be ineffective at swinging votes to the Democrats he has went on the campaign trail for.

The Politico reported:
But Gibbs also sought to tamp down expectations, partly stoked by Obama and his top advisers in the run-up to the midterms, that a series of presidential visits might tilt tight races to Democrats.

“I think that the way we’ve seen the president deployed in different races is much as we expected the president would be used,” Gibbs told reporters. “I think if you looked at last week’s [polling], when you asked people the role that the president played in their voting, it wasn’t — it wasn’t a huge role on either side.”

Bill Maher: "We have Democrats for one reason – to drag the ignorant hillbilly-half of this country into the next century"

Ignorant hillbillies in fly-over land should go to the polls next Tuesday and wrestle this country back from horse's butts like Maher and his liberal Democratic buddies.

Via NewsBusters:
“I mean, that’s so disappointing,” Maher said. “You know – that’s the problem with this country. They say that there’s not enough bipartisanship. There’s too much. If there’s two parties and they’re both against weed, what do we have? I mean what’s the point of having Democrats? We have Democrats for one reason – to drag the ignorant hillbilly-half of this country into the next century, which in their case is the 19th.”

Boxer Campaign Violates Law by Asking Teachers to Solicit Students for Boxer Campaign

Barbara Boxer's Campaign staff has sent a letter (posted above) to teachers asking them to solicit student volunteers for the Boxer campaign. The letter suggests extra credit for students who participate. This is violation of California law. Don't hold your breath waiting for California AG Jerry Brown to take action.

Via Flash Report:
Today the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association notified the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Board of Education today that, in abject ignorance of California state law, the political campaign of Senator Barbara Boxer has openly solicited teachers employed by LAUSD to urge their students to volunteer for her campaign.

HJTA’s letter to the school district urges LAUSD to immediately inform all its personnel, credentialed or otherwise, that it would be a clear violation of law for teachers to recruit their students on school property during school hours to volunteer for a specific political campaign.

Voting Machines Serviced by SEIU Automatically Check Harry Reid's Name in Nevada?

These reports of Harry Reid's name already being checked on electronic voting machines touch screen has been dismissed by election officials in Nevada as operator error. If that is true, how come they haven't been equal complaints of Sharron Angle's name already being checked? Did you know the SEIU represents voting machine techs in Nevada's Clark County where this possible fraud was reported?
It is positively outrageous that in Clark County, Nevada, the SEIU Local 1107, which supports Harry Reid, controls the ballot boxes by contract through their representation of the voting machine technicians. It is not surprising that Senator Harry Reid’s name was automatically checked off on the ballot when individuals went to vote.

Via Fox5Vegas:
Some voters in Boulder City complained on Monday that their ballot had been cast before they went to the polls, raising questions about Clark County’s electronic voting machines.

Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid’s name was already checked.

Ferrara said she wasn’t alone in her voting experience. She said her husband and several others voting at the same time all had the same thing happen…

Cook Political Report Upgrades Voter Hurricane Headed Democrats Way to Category 5

The nonpartisan Cook Political Report is now predicting a huge wave of voter discontent will wash 48 to 60 (or more) democrats out of their House seats.

The Cook Political Report’s pre-election House outlook is a Democratic net loss of 48 to 60 seats, with higher losses possible. A turnover of just 39 seats would tip majority status into Republican hands. The midterm maelstrom pulling House Democrats under shows no signs of abating, if anything it has intensified.

Whereas fewer than a third of Democratic Senate seats are up for election, House Democrats are suffering the full violence of this national undertow. Over a quarter of the entire 255-member House Democratic caucus have trailed GOP opponents in at least one public or private survey, and nearly half have tested under 50 percent of the vote in at least one poll.

The NPR Funding Lie

Recently, NPR in an anti free speech move, fired Juan Williams for admitting the truth about being nervous while flying with devout Muslims. NPR is an extremely liberal organization that receives funding from taxpayers. With the country $13 trillion in debt, why should taxpayers be funding liberal NPR or a conservative media outlet for that matter. Many years ago, people had few choices for news and information and providing diversity may have been desirable. The facts on the ground have dramatically changed over the last 20 years. Most people have dozens of radio stations, hundreds of cable channels and millions of websites on the Internet to get their information from. Why should overburdened taxpayers be forced to support any media outlet of any type of political leaning? NPR apologists claim the amount of public funding NPR receives is a minuscule 1%~3%. (emphasis mine)
NORAH O'DONNELL: It's about 1-3% that NPR receives in some taxpayer money. Most of NPR is funded through their local stations, through corporations, through the people who like NPR, private donations. They apply for grants and then, to the Corporation For Public Broadcasting, and some of that is federal money [try virtually all], so 1-3% is what they say.

If that is true, why do Democrats fight so hard to keep NPR funding? The reason is simple. It is a lie. A significant portion of NPR funding comes from taxpayers. (emphasis mine- red taxpayer, pink mixed taxpayer/private)
According to information available from the NPR website, local radio station money comes from the following sources:

32.1% Individual contributions

21.1% Business contributions

13.6% University funds

10.1% Corporation for Public Broadcasting funds

9.6% Foundation money

5.6% Federal, state, and local government funds

7.6% Other

It is easy to see NPR receives at least 20% of their funding from taxpayers. Also, since individual and business donations are tax deductible, taxpayers are indirectly footing part of that bill.

Follow Up on MoveOn Moonbat at Rand Paul Debate

George Soros Funded MoveOn protester Lauren Valle scuffled with Rand Paul supporters in Lexington yesterday. The news headlines were "Activist stomped outside Rand Paul-Jack Conway debate." You can see the video here and decide if this really qualified as a "stomping." The woman was posing as a Rand Paul supporter in order to get close to him. The plan was to try to embarrass Rand Paul by photographing him with a RepubliCorp sign in the picture. The moonbat MoveOn protester, Lauren Valle, is apparently a professional protester who lives in Washington, DC. She was last seen getting arrested for trespass and vandalism during Green Peace's protest of the BP oil spill.

Lauren Valle top row second from left.

She appears to have been working for MoveOn's group RepubliCorp. I won't link them. You can Google them if you like. Their theme is the Republican Party has merged with big business and formed RepubliCorp. This seems to be a reaction to the recent Supreme Court decision opening the way for corporate campaign spending. Liberals are afraid corporations will offset their union campaign support advantage. They don't seem to have the same concern about taking George Soros' millions. You can see one of their extremely stupid videos here.

Unnecessary Advice: Obama Tells Democrat to "Run Scared"

I am sure the legions of terrified Democratic candidates across this county will appreciate that advice from 'Captain Obvious.'

The Hill
reported:
Throughout the evening, Obama warned Democrats that it is going to be a "difficult" election year, but he specifically told Providence Mayor David Cicilline, the man running for retiring Rep. Patrick Kennedy's seat, to "run scared."

While Obama said he is confident that Democrats will retain Kennedy's seat, he warned Cicilline to keep up the intensity.

"Don't take it for granted," Obama said told a small gathering. "Run scared."

Rasmussen: 75% of Likely U.S. Voters prefer Free Market Economy to Government Managed One

Democrats love to write more regulations and laws handcuffing businesses. It is as if Democrats think businesses are somehow evil. Most voters disagree.

Rasmussen
reported:
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 75% of Likely U.S. Voters think a free market economy is better than an economy managed by the government. That’s up five points from December 2008 following Barack Obama’s election as president but consistent with findings in surveys since then.

Only 14% think government control of the economy is better.

Moveon.org Moonbat scuffles with Rand Paul supporters at debate

A liberal employee of Moveon.org poses as a Rand Paul fan and tries to get close enough to Rand Paul to embarrass him with a sign as he enters for a televised debate in Lexington , Ky.
"Her purpose was to try to get a picture with Rand Paul with this [RepubliCorp] sign so it could be used to embarrass Rand Paul in commercials," Hart said, recounting what Valle told officers. She described herself as a contract employee with MoveOn.org.

Valle was wearing a "I'm a Rand Fan" sticker on her red hooded sweatshirt, the video showed.

She got thrown to the ground and one man stomped stepped on her shoulder. Here is the raw video from Fox News.

Police are investigating.

Djou holds a slight 3-point lead in Obama's old Hawaii home district

Conservative Charles Djou and family

Republican Rep. Charles Djou holds a slight 3-point lead over Democrat Colleen Hanabusa in Obama's old Hawaii home district, but the 3-point lead is within the margin of error of the poll. It must really steam Democrats in Hawaii to have a Republican representing the district where Barack Obama spent much of his childhood.
According to a new Star-Advertiser/Hawaii News Now poll, Djou holds a slight 3-point edge over Democrat Colleen Hanabusa, but it is within the margin of error -- a statistical tie.

In a telephone poll of 399 very likely voters in the 1st Congressional District, representing urban Honolulu, Djou was favored by 48 percent, compared with 45 percent for Hanabusa.

Six percent said they were undecided or refused to answer; 1 percent said they would choose someone else.

Mitch McConnell: Most important thing is "for President Obama to be a one-term president"

Mitch McConnell is starting to make sense. This November's election is part of a two step process to take our country back from the left-wing, big government, big spending liberal socialist partnership of Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. We will retake the House this year and the Senate (unless it happens this year) and White House in 2012.
MCCONNELL: We need to be honest with the public. This election is about them, not us. And we need to treat this election as the first step in retaking the government. We need to say to everyone on Election Day, “Those of you who helped make this a good day, you need to go out and help us finish the job.”

NATIONAL JOURNAL: What’s the job?

MCCONNELL: The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.

Liberal group brags CBO missed Obamacare subsidy by 578% and will cost taxpayers $110 billion a year in 2014

January 25, 2007 Obama speaks to Families USA Conference, Washington, DC

The liberal health care reform advocacy group, Families USA, commissioned a study of how many Americans will be eligible for subsidies under Obamacare. The study found 28.6 million Americans will be eligible in 2014. The CBO had estimated the number to be only 7 million. The cost difference is $91 billion a year. If this is accurate, Obamacare will cause the deficit to rise as early as 2015.

Verum Serum reported:
A new study by the Lewin Group estimates that 28.6 million Americans will be eligible for a federal subsidy to purchase health insurance beginning in 2014 at a projected cost to tax payers in excess of $110 billion. This estimate is dramatically higher (578%) than the cost of these subsidies forecast by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) prior to the bill’s enactment into law.

Instead of hanging their head in shame for helping sell the American taxpayers a lie, Families USA bragged about it in a press release.
Beginning in 2014, almost 29 million middle-income Americans will be eligible for new tax credits to help them afford private health insurance premiums. The historic tax cut in the health reform law, which is estimated to reduce family income taxes by more than $110 billion in 2014 alone, will be provided through tax credits to offset a significant portion of private insurance premium costs.

Nancy Pelosi Promised No New Deficit Spending, Ran Deficit up $5 Trillion in Less Than 4 Years

Remember Nancy Pelosi's 2007 "Pay as you go" promise?

How is she doing?

Via CNS News:
At the close of business on Jan. 4, 2007, Pelosi’s first day as speaker, the national debt was $8,670,596,242,973.04 (8.67 trillion), according to theBureau of the Public Debt, a division of the U.S. Treasury Department. At the close of business on Oct. 22, it stood at $13,667,983,325,978.31 (13.67 trillion), an increase of 4,997,387,083,005.27 (or approximately $5 trillion).

Nancy Pelosi lied.

Oh my! Democrat resorts to bragging he voted for McCain!

Democratic Rep. Gene Taylor (Miss.) is claiming he voted for John McCain in 2008. The Democratic Party is in meltdown mode.

The Hill reported:

Conservative Democratic Rep. Gene Taylor (Miss.) voted against his own party when he went to the ballot box to vote for president in 2008, he said over the weekend.

Taylor told the Sun Herald of South Mississippi that he chose Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president over then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.)

Reporter Maria Recio told The Hill that when asked if he voted for the Democratic nominee in 2008, Taylor said “I did not vote for Obama. I voted for Sen. McCain. Better the devil you know.”

Poll Shocker: Barr Within Striking Distance of Chandler in Race for KY-6

Ben Chandler(left) Andy Barr(right)

Rep. Ben Chandler is a grandson of a former Kentucky Governor and a prominent Kentucky Democrat. He easily won re-election in 2008 with 65% of the vote. Since then, Chandler has sided with Nancy Pelosi too many times for many Kentuckians. Chandler voted for the failed Stimulus and the anti-coal Cap-and-Trade bill. The latest Mason-Dixon poll has Ben Chandler only 4 points ahead of his GOP challenger Andy Barr.

Daily Journal
reported:
The poll conducted for the Lexington Herald-Leader and WKYT-TV shows 48 percent of likely voters support incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler while 44 percent favor Republican Andy Barr. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points and shows 8 percent of likely voters were undecided.

60 Minutes: Unemployment is 17% Nationwide, 22% in California

Even the liberal mainstream media is being forced to face up to the failure of the Obama administration to create jobs and revive the economy. The 60 Minutes segment acknowledges unemployment isn't really 9.5%. It is around 17%.

Democrat Heartache: Bill Clinton Can't Fill a High School Gym

There has been much talk of the enthusiasm gap between Democrats and Republicans in this years election. A prime example occurred in Detroit. Bill Clinton couldn't fill a high school gym. Former President Clinton is doing a tour through Michigan to try and fire up the base. It doesn't appear he is having much success.

The Detroit News reported:
But he began his speech just before 3 p.m. in a high school gym that was less than half full. The appearance was in support of gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero, shown in most polls to be trailing Republican candidate Rick Snyder by 20 percentage points.

Shortly before Clinton took the stage, the Rev. Wendell Anthony, president of the Detroit branch of the NAACP, urged attendees to leave bleacher seats along one side of the gym and try to fill the area in front of the podium before Clinton began his address.

Great Video: Elections Have Consequences

This video recaps the Democrats control of Congress for the last four years. It is both amusing and shocking.

If you didn't watch the entire video, go to the 1:38 mark and watch Maxine Waters. You won't be sorry.

CBO Determines Obamacare Could Cost 700,000 Jobs

From CBO head Doug Elmendorf's presentation at the Schaeffer Center in California:

There are always unexpected consequences when the Federal Government tinkers with private markets. (emphasis mine)

From NewsBusters:
"Small"? Given that about 140 million people are working, "roughly half a percent" amounts to about 700,000 jobs (somewhat higher than the number Graham used in his column).

Gee Doug, if there's any evidence of the negatively dynamic effect of ObamaCare on the job market and the economy as a whole in the your "certified" March report (I know, that's not your word), I'm not seeing it. (My guess is that Congress specifically directed CBO to ignore dynamic effects, and the CBO's hands were tied.)

Flashback: Obama Reportedly Told Democrats, "Well, the big difference here and in ’94 was you’ve got me."

Rep. Marion Berry tried to warn Democrats of the bloodbath coming this November. They ignored him and listened to President Barack Obama instead. According to Berry,
“I’ve been doing that with this White House, and they just don’t seem to give it any credibility at all,” Berry said. “They just kept telling us how good it was going to be. The president himself, when that was brought up in one group, said, ‘Well, the big difference here and in ’94 was you’ve got me.’ We’re going to see how much difference that makes now.” [snip]

The phrase "We’re going to see how much difference that makes now” sounds prophetic, doesn't it? Not only is President Obama not helping Democrats, most of them don't want him to visit their district for fear it will actually hurt their chances. Democrats are running away from President Obama and their own legislative record. In one sense, President obama is correct. The difference between now and '94 is him and his left-wing agenda. It's just going to make the opposite of the difference he was promising.

Demo Attacks GOP Ill. Candidate Bill Brady: "If you think gay and lesbian people need to be locked up and shot in the head..."

Aspiring Chicago mayoral candidate state Sen. Rickey Hendon was warming up a rally for Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn. He had the following to say about Quinn's GOP opponent.
“Let me tell you a couple things. I’ve served with Bill Brady. I’ve never served with such an idiotic, racist, sexist, homophobic person in my life,” Hendon told the crowd. “If you think that the minimum wage needs to be $3 an hour, vote for Bill Brady. If you think that women have no rights whatsoever except to have his children, vote for Bill Brady. If you think gay and lesbian people need to be locked up and shot in the head, vote for Bill Brady.

The crowd actually applauded those remarks. Gov. Pat Quinn was forced to disassociate himself from the outrageous comments.

Did Jack Conway Tip Off Brother about Drug Investigation?

KY AG and Democrat nominee for Senate Conway is denying wrongdoing, but the allegations are flying. Conway's campaign admit the AG helped his brother get a lawyer. No charges have been filed, but two detectives have been placed on leave.

The Daily Caller
reported:
Jack Conway, the Democratic attorney general of Kentucky who is running for U.S. Senate, says he was not involved in a recent criminal investigation involving his brother and drug trafficking.

But it appears he — along with other law enforcement officials — tipped his brother off about the investigation.

The campaign made a statement distancing Conway from his brother’s investigation in a Saturday story in Louisville’s Courier-Journal. The story was the first to disclose this summer’s drug probe

Rep. Alan "one fry short of a Happy Meal" Grayson gets endorsement of Rep. Anthony Weiner

Back on 2008, Rep. Anthony Weiner insinuated Alan Grayson was crazy.
“Is this news to you that this guy’s one fry short of a Happy Meal?” asked Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.)

With control of the House on the line for Democrats, Rep. Weiner has had a change of heart. He is now endorsing Rep. Alan Grayson.

48 out of 57 states have lost jobs since President Obama and Democrats passed trillion-dollar stimulus plan

48 out of 57 50 states have lost jobs since president Obama and the overwhelmingly democratic congress passed 'Porkukus.' Only New Hampshire and North Dakota have had net job gains since Obama's stimulus was passed. Democrats promised 3 million in new jobs would be created. The actual result is a net loss of 2 million jobs.

“No we are not.”

Another Socialist Obama Connection Uncovered

The father you go down the rabbit hole of Obama's past, the more Barack Hussein Obama looks like a Socialist hiding in Democrat's clothing.

(Big Government)- Newsletters published by the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America show President Barack Obama actively participated in a 1996 rally co-sponsored by the group and held at The University of Chicago during his first campaign for the Illinois state Senate.

The president’s defenders, including Obama himself, have sought to deflect questions about his socialist connections and dismiss them as partisan hyperbole or as guilt by association ̶ regarding his connections with William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, and Frank Marshall Davis.

But an article in the March-April 2000 edition of the Chicago DSA’s newsletter, The New Ground, detailing its recommendations for the March 2000 Democratic primaries suggests the group considered Obama one of its own.

The failure of the Mainstream Media to properly vet Obama is astounding.

Obama College Acquaintance Remembers Him as a Beardless Marxist-Leninist

Most of President Obama's college acquaintances have refused too speak about him in any detail. This is especially true of Obama's Occidental college days. There is one exception. John Drew was the founder of the Democratic Student Socialist Alliance at Occidental. He has outgrown his Socialist-Marxist past and is a Conservative now. He is wiling to share his personal memories of Obama, but the MSM has ignored him. Could it be because he remembers Obama as a self-described Marxist-Lenninist?

American Thinker reported:
Drew was founder of the Democratic Student Socialist Alliance at Occidental - basically, the Marxist club, as he describes it in the interview. He got to know young Obama fairly well, and notes that Obama described himself at the time as a Marxist-Lenninist, and anticipated a revolution in the United States.

Drew was interviewed by Paul Kengor, guest host for the Glen Meakam Show. Click here. Click 'play now' by standard podcast text under the title of the article. Allow a couple of minutes for the podcast to load and zoom to the 42 minute mark.

Demo Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA-08) doesn't think combat in Iraq qualifies as 'public service'

Demo Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA-08) got caught with his foot in his mouth again.

FOX News reported:
"What [Republicans] do is find candidates, usually stealth candidates, that haven't been in office, haven't served or performed in any kind of public service," Moran said. "My opponent is typical, frankly."

The trouble is, Murray is a retired Army colonel with 24 years of service--including combat in Iraq. The idea that such an extensive military record doesn't qualify as "public service" has left a sour taste in Murray's mouth.

Rep. Jim Moran's opponent is Republican Patrick Murray; a 24 year military veteran with combat service in Iraq. Murray has responded on his campaign blog.
It is unconscionable to me how a member of Congress from a District with so many Veterans, who also sits on the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, could make such shameful and offensive comments about the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform. This kind of disrespect to our service members not only offends me, but is insensitive to the sacrifices made by our dedicated military families as well.

Here is the video of Moran's offensive comments.

WaPo Confirms Racism at Holder's DOJ

The Washington Post has confirmed racial considerations play a large role at the DOJ when the issue is enforcing voter right. Kudos to WaPo for finally doing this investigation, but we have to wonder why it took them 17 months to get around to it. WaPo has confirmed there are many in Eric Holder's DOJ who don't want to enforce voting rights if it is a black on white crime.

Civil rights officials from the Bush administration have said that enforcement should be race-neutral. But some officials from the Obama administration, which took office vowing to reinvigorate civil rights enforcement, thought the agency should focus primarily on cases filed on behalf of minorities...

"There are career people who feel strongly that it is not the voting section's job to protect white voters," the lawyer said. "The environment is that you better toe the line of traditional civil rights ideas or you better keep quiet about it, because you will not advance, you will not receive awards and you will be ostracized."

In spite of denial by the Obama administration, documents prove there was heavy political involvement in the decision to drop the Black Panther case.
Justice Department records turned over in a lawsuit to the conservative group Judicial Watch show a flurry of e-mails between the Civil Rights Division and the office of Associate Attorney General Thomas Perelli, a political appointee who supervises the division.

"Where are we on the Black Panther case?" read the subject line of a Perelli e-mail to his deputy the day before the case was dropped. Perelli, the department's No. 3 official, wrote that he was enclosing the "current thoughts" of the deputy attorney general's office, the No. 2 official.

Video: Demo Jack Conway Took Thousands of Dollars From Utility Companies and 'Sipped a Slurpee' While They Hiked Rates

KY Attorney General and Democratic Senate candidate Jack Conway claims he is "putting the people of Kentucky above the pocket boos of special interests." That is far form the truth.

The Ben Chandler Cheap Energy Flip-Flop (video)

Before Ben Chandler went to Washington, he touted Kentucky as a cheap energy state. Afterward, not so much. Chandler voted for Cap-and Trade which Obama claimed would skyrocket energy costs and bankrupt anyone who built a coal fired electric plant. Kentucky gets most of it's electricity from coal. Thanks for putting Kentucky first, Ben.

Young Obamabot Outraged She Couldn't Wear an Obama Shirt to the Poll

There is no campaigning allowed at polling places, unless your name is Michelle Obama.
A voter who went to the polls Thursday at an early voting location south of the Texas Medical Center served as this mid-term election’s reminder to keep your politically themed clothing at home.

“This is ridiculous,” Tamika Francis told 11 News as she stood outside the Fiesta grocery store at Main and Kirby, where she had just been denied the right to vote.

“That’s not going to roll with me. Is it going to roll with you?” she asked her mom, who had traveled to the polling location with her.

The problem is that Francis was wearing a 2008 Obama election shirt.

Even MSM Now Ridiculing Obama's "Slurpee" Reference (video)

The "sippin' on a Slurpee" remarks were stupid. Slurpee's are hardly associates with Republicans or Conservatives.

Jihadi Testifies He Left Al Qaeda Because They Did Not Have 'Osamacare'

Confessed Al Qaeda plotter L'Houssaine Kherchtou sobbed during testimony in NYC after being asked about all the people Al Queda murdered his wife's lack of money to pay for her pregnancy in Sudan. Kherchtou claims he left Al Qaeda because they refused to pay his wife's health care expenses. Jihadis living in America won't have that issue now that we have 'Obamacare.'

Mail Online reported:
A former member of Al Qaeda has claimed that he left the terror group after they failed to pay for his pregnant wife's medical bills.

L'Houssaine Kherchtou testified at a terrorism trial in New York on Wednesday that he was disgruntled at the lack of health care and later began helping a U.S. investigation into two embassy bombings in Africa.

Chernoff asked him, 'Did your wife need treatment for her pregnancy and Al Qaeda refused to pay the bill?'

Kherchtou whispered, 'Yes' and began sobbing, blowing his nose and dabbing his face with a tissue.
