What do you think he learned from his Kenyan communist dad? Basket weaving or the latest in cardboard hut building?

Liberals and truth, my my ... I told IR I'd behave myself so I won't type what they said.

7:55- That was Rolling Rock.

8:50- I told everyone that right wingers would still blame Clinton for the Bush years. Your next move will be to blame Jimmy Carter once you realize your Clinton attacks are going nowhere.

Grace: good luck starting your new country. If you need some roads built or something I know some good Union contractors.

Carl: you seem like a sane man of the same ilk as IR. It has been regulation and intervention into the American economy that has ruined it. The Federal Reserve kept printing money to fund Congress' foolish spending and the money continues to become more worthless without gold or silver to back it up. And don't forget Bush's $152 billion stimulus last year that did nothing to stop the impending disaster. That's hardly deregulation or lassez-faire economics.

While the tax cuts were good, their combination with increased spending and increased government size proved catastrophic. Keeping more of your money does not create financial trouble but increased government spending combined with less revenue bankrupts it. The solution is to cut taxes AND government. Bush and his Republican backers got it only half-right, or half-wrong, depending on your outlook.

And the Republican opposition to the stimulus in the House was pure politics: they had nothing to lose by voting against it. Republicans have been voted out because, among other reasons, they spent like Democrats during the Bush years. They had nothing to gain by voting for it because the Democrats alone had enough to pass it. Plus, if it fails, which I believe it will, the Republicans will have at least one thing to brag about come midterm elections. But don't rule out Senate Republicans voting for the stimulus.Carl Wicklanderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10743503122650895906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2916809362071329011.post-76550998283952666712009-02-08T22:25:00.000-05:002009-02-08T22:25:00.000-05:00T101 - Hey as long as the unions do well off of go...T101 - Hey as long as the unions do well off of government insider trading, sweet deals, and general organized crime, screw the rest of the country, right??

The greed of unions is destroying our nation - and the lack of patriotism of their members in backing up this fake POTUS because he's willing to sell his soul to the union store (or pretend to).

Guess what?? In the Great Depression that is coming - all those fat cat backroom dealings with union syndicate bosses - are just going to make the states secede.

The federal government is going to default on T-bills - hyperinflation is going to result, the unions aren't getting squat in the long run.

Face it, it's because of economic interest and the love of money that you love Obama, right??

Am I right, T101? Cuz when he screws over the unions in favor of the Muslims - you're loyalty won't stick then - when he ends up costing the unions more than they thought they'd gain from these socialist communist (unionist) policies.

:)

(Other than our obvious diverse views on this, how ya doin??)Laura Lee - Grace Explosionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10002267385228111639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2916809362071329011.post-83779314071445009462009-02-08T20:50:00.000-05:002009-02-08T20:50:00.000-05:00Truth101, sweetie, apparently you don't really und...Truth101, sweetie, apparently you don't really understand about Clinton, with his affirmative action program that allowed no income no job loans, where unemployment benefits actually counted as income and people who WERE NOT QUALIFIED to buy homes were approved...? Banks who didn't loan to these people were actually publicly castigated and denied funds for expansions and other things...? you DO know what's happening with the extraordinary number of foreclosures? You have heard the phrase "mortgage meltdown" sometime in the last year? Sorry, if you want to blame the economic problems on anyone, you're going to have to start with the Clinton administration.

And oh, that is pretty funny about the duplicitous Obama working with Republicans. When encountering disagreements, your messiah acts arrogant, offended and uses the phrase "I won" to end the disagreement. So much for reaching across the aisle.

Silly rabbit.
