Republican Governors want their pork

The GOP Governors have broken rank with their Congressional counterparts. The poor economy has damaged their state budgets to the point they are ready to beg for a handout. I hope the Republicans in the Senate hold out long enough to get some of the more egregious items removed.

  1. Yeah, but Democrats will put controls on that money. I think that these Governors should serve Country first and trim their budgets. They're creating a cycle of poverty by participating in this insanity.

  2. What would you trim that would make a difference in 2 to 36 billion dollar deficits?

I agree that Political Parties first priority is serving the Country. The Republicans had six years of controlling Congress and the Presidency and failed. Sweeping more of them out would serve our Country.

  3. i think everybody should just stop being selfish and arrogant regarding the stimulus bill, our president (whom most of the people elected anyway) is trying to do his job and so should the rest of the american government. the money for the stimulus is for the country's economy to be saved and not for the politicians' pockets.
