Russians refuse to shake hands with Obama (video)

This video didn't make the nightly news. I wonder why?

Obama Hand Shake Snubbed

Not all foreign leaders respect Obama.

  1. He's not trying to shake hands. If you watch, he is introducing the man behind him. The proper ettiquette for introducing someone is to extend your hand to them - hope this helps.

That's not what I saw and I watched it three times.

  3. I watched the video twice...and it was a sure absolute hand shake attempt...that went nowhere. I'd be curious who the guys were in status...and I'd like to see the look on Obama's face about 30 second after this episode.

  4. This clip has been confirmed to be Obama introducing the Russian to American staff members. Similar to a clip from Saudi Arabia which some people also assumed was Obama being snubbed. It's not.

  5. that was no snub..looks like he was introducing the other fellow..this vid is really making the rounds and will be mis-interpreted..if he was snubed it would have been big news..I am no fan of Obama but if that had been a snub I would be very much embarrased and slightly pissed

  6. Vennie, I would point out that the Russian president is who introduces Obama at the first. Obama doesn't say a thing the entire time! I watched for what you said and that is not how one is introduced. The one introducing follows behind. Russian president invited Obama to greet the members.
