IPCC Forced to Retract Another Bogus Claim


This time it is the claim global warming might wipe out 40% of the Amazon rain forest. The IPCC included this unscientific claim in their 2007 report. The basis for this bogus claim came from two WWF environmental activists. They got their information from a Nature article that is unrelated to global warming. The article was about logging and burning destroying rain Forrest.

Times Online reported:
A STARTLING report by the United Nations climate watchdog that global warming might wipe out 40% of the Amazon rainforest was based on an unsubstantiated claim by green campaigners who had little scientific expertise...
