I don't know really what to say here but Obama is lying about not being a proponent of the single payer idea. He is on tape saying he is a proponent of it and a little bit of thinking would tell you that he is believes in it.
The owner of businesses will cease providing insurance for their employees because there will be the government option and the owners will be paying much higher taxes to fund it. So why would they and how could they provide private insurance when they are already paying for the government's insurance? They naturally wouldn't. It would be smart business sense to drop the private insurance. The goal and the inevitable result is a single payer system.
