Women United PAC Ad: When They Called; President Obama failed on Benghazi

Women give Obama a spanking over Benghazi...

Interesting: Republicans always win November 6th presidential elections...

Well, since 1845 anyway...

Via Breitbart

Starting in 1792, states had a range of dates on which to conduct presidential elections, but in 1845 Congress standardized the date so it would always be the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Since then presidential elections have been held on dates ranging from November 2nd to November 8th with each date coming up about six times in a fairly regular pattern. The date November 6th has always been a good one for Republicans:
  • 1860 - Abraham Lincoln over Stephen Douglas
  • 1888 - Benjamin Harrison over incumbent Grover Cleveland
  • 1900 - William McKinley over William Jennings Bryan
  • 1928 - Herbert Hoover over Al Smith
  • 1956 - Dwight Eisenhower over Adlai Stevenson
  • 1984 - Ronald Reagan over Walter Mondale

Busted: Emails prove Obama used DOE loans to help Harry Reid get re-elected...

Least surprising story of the day...

Via Beltway Confidential:
President Obama claims that political considerations did not influence the Energy Department’s green energy loan program, but newly-released internal emails show that his administration subsidized Nevada companies in order to help Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., win his 2010 reelection campaign.

“And these are decisions, by the way, that are made by the Department of Energy, they have nothing to do with politics,” Obama said last week when asked about the green companies that have gone bankrupt despite receiving taxpayer support.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released DOE emails today that compromise Obama’s position on two counts: one, the emails show that Obama himself was involved in approving loans; two, DOE officials were keenly aware of the political interests at stake, as they regarded the loans as a way for the White House to help Reid by giving him a way to brag about bringing federal money into Nevada.

Messages from late in 2010 demonstrate that DOE officials were concerned that President Obama’s personal desire to get DOE loans approved was putting tax payer money at risk.

55 minutes after the Benghazi attack, Obama, Biden and Panetta met and decided to do nothing to save our brave men?

The more we know; the more it looks like President Barack Obama should be impeached. Obama got his 3 AM phone call at 4 PM and still blew it.
(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama met with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Vice President Joe Biden at the White House on Sept. 11, 2012 at 5:00 PM—just 55 minutes after a State Department email notified the White House and the Pentagon that the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi was under attack.

The meeting between Obama, Panetta and Biden had been scheduled before the attack took place, and the Department of Defense is not commenting now on whether the three men were aware when they met that day of the ongoing Benghazi attack or whether Obama used that meeting to discuss with his defense secretary what should be done to defend the U.S. personnel in Benghazi.

“Secretary Panetta met with President Obama, as the White House-provided scheduled indicates,” Lt. Col. Todd Breasseale, a Defense Department spokesman, told CNSNews.com on Tuesday. “However, neither the content nor the subject of discussions between the President and his advisors are appropriate for disclosure.” [...]
You are probably wondering why they would have made the decision to not use drones, Specter gunships or a large special forces operation to try and save the lives of Ambassador Stevens and his defenders. There were already large protests against the US in other Arab countries over that stupid YouTube video.  Obama, Bide and Panetta were likely focused on not further inflaming the Arab masses. A couple of diplomats and Seals were expendable.

NYC Mayor Bloomberg blames hurricane on global warming

I thought it was caused buy too many big gulps. [snark] Bloomberg is a scientific idiot.

Via Daily Mail:
Hurricane Sandy may have seemed uniquely damaging to those caught in its path, but some have suggested that global warming could bring even more devastating storms to the U.S. in coming years.
New York governor Andrew Cuomo and mayor Michael Bloomberg both pointed to climate change as the culprit for Sandy’s ravages as they addressed the scale of the destruction on Tuesday morning.
And Cuomo even raised the possibility of a levee being built in New York Harbor, an unprecedented move to protect the 400-year-old city.

Many observers have pointed out that it is almost impossible to pinpoint climate change as the cause of specific weather events.

Moreover, the U.S. has long been subject to hurricanes and other damaging storms which have been just as violent as Sandy.

But the terrors wrought by Sandy, combined with last year’s destructive Hurricane Irene, have led New York’s top officials to raise the spectre of global warming.
Scientists disagree with Bloomberg.

Obama claims" we leave nobody behind" about hurricane. Left 4 men to die at Benghazi...

Hypocrite-in-Chief

Via Breitbart:...

Today, during a non-campaign campaign stop at the Red Cross, President Obama told the nation something his administration obviously didn’t believe during the seven-hour attack on our consulate in Benghazi (and a nearby annex) on the night of September 11, 2012: That when an "American is in need… we leave nobody behind":

This is a tough time for a lot of people; millions of folks all across the Eastern Seaboard, but America's tougher. And we're tougher because we pull together, we leave nobody behind, we make sure we respond as a nation and remind ourselves that whenever an American is in need, all of stand together to make sure we're providing the help that's necessary.

CHARLES WOODS, father of Tyrone Woods to Obama WH: "you have the blood of an American hero on your hands ."

All decisions like the one Obama was faced with at Benghazi are political. Did Obama decide to let these men die in order to prevent a possible major incident before the November 6th election?

Via RCP:
I don’t want to point any fingers, but obviously people in the White House were watching this happen. Real time. They — someone in the White House, or many people in the White House watched the events unfolding and knew that if they gave the order to stand down, that my son would die. They watched my son die. As far as I’m concerned, there are people in the White House — whoever it was that was in that room watching that video of my son dying, their cries for help, their order ‘don’t help them at all, let them die’ — whoever it might be, might be numerous people, you have the blood of my son, you have the blood of an American hero on your hands. I don’t know who you are, but one of these days the truth will come out. I still forgive you, but you need to stand up.

Shameful: Obama uses campaign slogan as prop at FEMA briefing...

Please vote this embarrassment out of office next Tuesday.

Via WaTi:
President Obama may have suspended his campaign rallies due to Hurricane Sandy, but he managed to squeeze in his campaign slogan — intentionally or not — during a briefing Tuesday with federal emergency officials.
“The president made clear that he expects his team to remain focused as the immediate impacts of Hurricane Sandy continue and lean forward in their response,” the White House said in a statement about Mr. Obama’s video-teleconference that he conducted from the White House Situation Room. “Forward” is the slogan of his re-election campaign.
Mr. Obama canceled all campaign events on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as the storm lashed the East Coast, causing billions of dollars worth of destruction, resulting in several deaths and interrupting power for millions of residents.

Al Gore on Hurricane Sandy: “disturbing sign of things to come”

Give it up Gore. Almost nobody is buying that BS anymore...

Via E2 Wire:
Al Gore said Tuesday that Hurricane Sandy is a “disturbing sign of things to come” in a warming world and should prompt action to curb greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels.
“We must heed this warning and act quickly to solve the climate crisis. Dirty energy makes dirty weather,” the former vice president said in a statement on his website.
Gore cited Sandy, which slammed ashore late Monday, and smaller-scale flooding in his hometown of Nashville two years ago, noting “both storms were strengthened by the climate crisis.”
“Scientists tell us that by continually dumping 90 million tons of global warming pollution into the atmosphere every single day, we are altering the environment in which all storms develop. As the oceans and atmosphere continue to warm, storms are becoming more energetic and powerful,” he said.

Taxpayers spent $59,523 in 2011 for each poor household.

If we had just gave them a $59,000 a year job, they wouldn't have been poor anymore. My guess is much of the money was eat up by the bureaucracy.
(CNSNews.com) – The federal government spent enough money on federal means-tested welfare programs to have sent each impoverished household a check for nearly $60,000, according to figures from the Census Bureau and theCongressional Research Service(CRS).
According to a report from the CRS produced for Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), $1 trillion was spent on federal welfare programs during fiscal year 2011 – with $746 billion in federal funds and $254 in state matching funds.
The U.S. Census Bureau reported that there were approximately 16.8 million households living below the federal poverty level of $23,000 per year for a family of four in 2011.
If each of the estimated 16.8 million households with income below the poverty level were to have received an equal share of the total welfare spending for fiscal year 2011, they each would have received $59,523.

54% still want to repeal Obamacare

Unfortunately, this issue hasn't been played up in the general election by Mitt Romney due to his Romneycare in Massachusetts. However, Romney says he will repeal and replace Obamacare. I believe him.

Via Weekly Standard:
One week before the election that will likely determine Obamacare’s fate, Americans support its repeal by an even wider margin than they did in the immediate aftermath of its highly unpopular passage.
According to newly released polling from Rasmussen Reports, by a margin of 15 percentage points (54 to 39 percent), likely voters now support the repeal of President Obama’s centerpiece legislation.  In the first three polls taken in the wake of the House’s passage of Obamacare (on March 21, 2010), Rasmussen showed that likely voters then favored repeal by margins of 13 points (55 to 42 percent), 12 points (54 to 42 percent), and 12 points (54 to 42 percent).  Cementing Obamacare would be the principal focus of Obama’s second term.

Ad hits Obama hard on Benghazi failure: When They Called

This will leave a mark.

With the mounting evidence suggesting the Obama administration was fully aware of the terror attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, within two hours of the breakout of violence and the disappointing litany of excuses, mostly blaming a virtually unseen video at the time, it is more evident than ever that is time for the truth, it is a time for change, it is time for a real Commander in Chief.

Unexpectedly, Obama is interested in helping businesses...

It's almost like there is an election coming up, the economy is bad and Obama needs a miracle...

Via WSJ:
President Barack Obama signaled if he wins a second term he would appoint a Secretary of Business to oversee newly-consolidated government agencies, including the Small Business Administration, and predicted “a war” will break out within the Republican Party after the Nov. 6 election.
“We should have one Secretary of Business, instead of nine different departments that are dealing with things like giving loans to SBA or helping companies with exports,” Mr. Obama said in an interview that aired Monday on MSNBC. “There should be a one-stop shop.”
Mr. Obama blamed Congress for such consolidation not happening during his first term because lawmakers have been “very protective about not giving up their jurisdiction over various pieces of government.” But the president has done little to push the idea himself.
Don't be fooled. Barack Obama is the most anti-business President of my lifetime.

Mitt Romney gained a point over President Obama, according to a Gallup daily tracking poll released Monday, and now holds a healthy 5-percentage-point national lead.
Romney took 51 percent support in the poll of likely voters, compared to 46 percent for Obama.
The GOP nominee also pulled even with Obama among registered voters, 48 percent to 48, after trailing by a point on Sunday.
The survey is a rolling seven-day average through Oct. 28, so it has almost fully digested voter sentiment since last Monday’s third and final presidential debate.

Liberal Heartache: Democrat of the Year stripped of title for stealing from disabled elderly woman

What a complete douchebag...

Via Daily Caller:
Jefferson County, Colo. Democrats have revoked 66-year-old Estelle Carson’s 2012 “Democrat of the Year” award, following her conviction on Thursday for stealing from a 71-year-old woman who suffers from both partial blindness and cerebral palsy.
Carson was found guilty of felony identity theft and felony theft from an at-risk person for stealing checks from the woman to pay for cable, cellphone and Internet bills.
The elderly victim, who is confined to a wheelchair, has a fixed income of $596 per month.
The Jefferson County Democratic Party announced in late 2011 that it planned to honor Carson at a gala in January 2012 for her Democratic activism and efforts. Three days before the Jan. 8 dinner, critics warned the Democratic Party officials of an ongoing criminal investigation into Carson’s activities.

Tracking Sandy (Video)

Prayers for those in the path of Hurricane Sandy.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) As of the latest National Hurricane Center update Sunday night, Sandy hasn’t changed it’s course or intensity much. It remains a Category 1 hurricane with low central pressure, and is still tracking toward the northeast, though that will change overnight (in fact, I’m starting to detect a more northward push looking at the most recent satellite. This is a HUGE storm, with a diameter of over 700 miles wide and a tropical storm wind field over 400 miles wide, meaning that it will impact a very large number of people for an extended period of time.

Unlike many storms that move up the coast and are in and out quickly, Sandy will be arriving almost perpendicular to the New Jersey coastline, and then weakening but dawdling as it moves inland. That means even in Philadelphia and the suburbs, tropical storm force winds could last over 48 hours!

Israeli Jews prefer Romney to Obama 3-1...

I hope American Jews are as wise...

Via JPost:
Israeli Jews prefer Republican candidate Mitt Romney over US President Barack Obama by an almost 3:1 margin, according to a “Peace Index” poll conducted by the Israel Democracy Institute and Tel Aviv University that was released Sunday.
The polling figures stand in stark contrast to polls taken of American Jews, which show they prefer Obama by a similarly wide margin. An American Jewish Committee poll at the end of September showed US Jews favoring Obama over Romney 63%-27%.
The “Peace Index” poll also puts Israel at odds with most of the rest of the world, which – according to a BBC poll published last week of nearly 22,000 people in 21 countries — found Obama favored by an average of 50%, with only 9% for Romney. The Democrat was the preferred candidate in every country polled, except for Pakistan.
Asked “in terms of Israeli interests, who would be preferable to win the elections next month in the US,”  57.2% of Israeli Jews said Romney, while only 21.5% said Obama.
Among Israeli Arabs, the numbers were reversed, with 45% opting for Obama, and 15% for Romney.

Alleged Southern sorority girl in 'Tea Party Fail' picture is really a Democrat voting for Obama...

Liberals, democrats, Obama supporters and Tea Party hater have had a lot of fun with this picture.

AL reports:
As the story goes, a sorority girl at the University of Alabama, in some sort of political fit, scribbled a barely literate screed on the back of a pizza box. Amid the debris of a college dorm room, the young woman grits her teeth and scrunches her face as she holds up her homemade sign. A freshly used Sharpie is still between her fingers.
The sad part for them is it isn't in anyway true. The girl in the picture attends a liberal arts university in western Massachusetts, isn't in a sorority and plans on voting for Obama. This was a prop for a "Teabagger" costume.  The girl in the picture has a Tumbler blog. Take that liberals.

Inclement weather conditions would have a more severe impact on Democratic voters than Republican ...

Hmm...
Would storms, rain or snow prevent you from voting on Election Day? More than a third of undecided voters say yes, according to a recent survey that points to the role weather could play in a close presidential election this November.
Among those who plan to vote this year, 35 percent of undecided voters say that inclement weather conditions would have a “moderate to significant” impact on whether they make it to the polls on Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
More registered Democrats (27 percent) say that bad weather conditions would impact whether they make it to the polls than registered Republicans (20 percent), the survey also found.
Since the undecideds may break for Romney, I am not sure what the net effect will be.

Report: Obama wanted to reestablish full US diplomatic relations with the Mullahs in Iran

Would Obama have visited them afterwards and bowed down?

Via Times of Israel:
Soon after he took office, President Barack Obama began a process ultimately designed to reestablish full US diplomatic relations with Iran, including a reopening of embassies, an Israeli daily reported Sunday. The initiative, part of a wider shift in America’s diplomatic orientation, aimed at reaching understandings with Tehran over suspending its nuclear program, Maariv claimed, citing “two Western diplomats very close to the administration.”

The initiative led to at least two US-Iran meetings, the report said. Israel was made aware of the contacts, and opposed them.

But Iran rebuffed the “diplomatic hand” offered by the White House, Maariv reported. The Islamist regime “opposed any sign of normalization with the US, and refused to grant a ‘prize’ to the Americans,” according to an anonymous Israeli source quoted by the paper.

The "Gutsy Call" Obama Failed to Make

There is little doubt Barack Obama had the opportunity to make a "gutsy call." He failed...

Via Yahoo News:
It seems everyone is denying they were the ones who denied our brave diplomats and former seals support during the Benghazi attack. The White House is now claiming Obama didn't make the call. If true, why didn't he? The information was almost undoubtedly being fed into the WH Situation Room. Obama was in the WH at the time. He claimed in the last debate the buck stopped with him...

The White House on Saturday flatly denied that President Barack Obama withheld requests for help from the besieged American compound in Benghazi, Libya, as it came under on attack by suspected terrorists on September 11th.

"Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi," National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor told Yahoo News by email.

Health Insurance Premiums Up $3000 Since Obama Promised To Cut Them $2500...

Obamacare was never about bending the cost curve downward. It was about providing subsidized healthcare to demographics that vote Democrat. Democrats used lies and accounting tricks to try and convince people Obamacare would reduce costs.  Obama was the Liar-in-Chief.

IBD via Yahoo:
During his first run for president, Barack Obama made one very specific promise to voters: He would cut health insurance premiums for families by $2,500, and do so in his first term.
But it turns out that family premiums have increased by more than $3,000 since Obama's vow, according to the latest annual Kaiser Family Foundation employee health benefits survey.
Premiums for employer-provided family coverage rose $3,065 — 24% — from 2008 to 2012, the Kaiser survey found. Even if you start counting in 2009, premiums have climbed $2,370.
What's more, premiums climbed faster in Obama's four years than they did in the previous four under President Bush, the survey data show.
There's no question about what Obama was promising the country, since he repeated it constantly during his 2008 campaign.
In a debate with Sen. John McCain, for example, Obama said "the only thing we're going to try to do is lower costs so that those cost savings are passed onto you. And we estimate we can cut the average family's premium by about $2,500 per year.

Is Obama throwing the Military under the Benghazi bus?

It wouldn't surprise me. Obama hates the Military.

Via Weekly Standard:
Yesterday, the CIA insisted that ”No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.” The denial is in reference to the report that the CIA held back forces from helping the Americans who were under attack in Benghazi, Libya on 9/11.
And today, the White House is making a similar claim. ”Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi,” an Obama administration spokesman tells Yahoo’s Olivier Knox. [...]
So, since the the CIA says it wasn’t any of their guys, and since the White House is trying to eliminate any blame on themselves, does this mean the order not to help those Americans under siege in Benghazi came from the military? The White House, it would seem, is trying to shift blame in that direction.

Least shocking story of the week: Obama lied about WH involvement in bankrupt Abound Solar loans

Barack Obama is a compulsive liar...

Via Daily Caller:
Just one day after President Obama went on television saying that politics had nothing to do with the now bankrupt Abound Solar receiving a taxpayer-backed loan guarantee from the Energy Department, emails have surfaced that contradict these claims and suggest White House involvement in the company receiving the loan.
“And these are decisions, by the way, that are made by the Department of Energy, they have nothing to do with politics,” President Obama told KUSA’s Kyle Clark.
However, emails obtained by COMPLETECOLORADO.COM suggest that the White House was involved in the Energy Department awarding Abound Solar a $400 million loan gurantee, contradicting the President’s claim.
The emails also suggest that the loan guarantee was political payback to Democratic benefactor Pat Stryker.
In one email, DOE loan executive Jonathan Silver tells DOE credit advisor Jim McCrea that, “You better [let] him know the [White House] wants to move Abound forward,” referring to Treasury Advisor Ian Samuels who wasn’t moving fast enough on scheduling calls regarding Abound.

Father of Navy SEAL Slain at Benghazi: “They Murdered My Son” (Video)

By they, he most likely means the person who denied requests for support on the ground in Benghazi. That may well be Barack Obama himself.

Watch out for that GOP election wave

If Gallop is correct, Republicans are headed for another wave election like 2010. The key is who will turn out to vote.

Via Breitbart:
This morning, Gallup released a bombshell survey of likely voters this November. It wasn’t a horse race poll, i.e. which candidate is ahead, but rather a look at the underlying demographics that will make up the electorate this November. They slap the survey with a very misleading headline, “2012 U.S. Electorate Looks Like 2008.” While this is true in many respects, it obscures one very big difference. For the first time in a presidential election, more Republicans will vote than Democrats.
In 2008, 54% of likely voters identified as Democrat or lean Democrat. 42% of likely voters identified as GOP or lean GOP. In other words, the electorate, including independents who lean towards a particular party, was D+12. This year, however, the Democrat advantage has disappeared. 49% of likely voters today identify as GOP or lean GOP. Just 46% of likely voters are or lean towards the Democrats. This is a 15-point swing towards the GOP from 2008 to an outright +3 advantage for the GOP. By comparison, in 2004, when Bush won reelection, the electorate was evenly split, with each party getting support from 48% of likely voters.
If these numbers are within even a few points of what this survey suggests, then Romney will win decisively and the GOP will pick up the Senate. We are likely standing on the edge of another GOP wave election.

Obama backs UN over Texas

The Obama administration is telling Texas to stand down their threat to arrest UN poll observers. My money is on Texas.

Via Beltway Confidential:
International election observers planning to visit Texas polling places have “full immunity” from being arrested in the United States, the State Department said when discussing a letter from the Texas Attorney General.
“I’m not going to get into any kind of hypothetical situations or predict where this is going to go other than to say we have every expectation that this will be worked out and to state the fact, which is that under U.S. law they are eligible for immunities,” said State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland. Reporters tried to get her to state explicitly that Texas could not arrest election observers from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), but Nuland would only reiterate that OSCE observers have full immunity.
Attorney General Greg Abbott, R-Texas, warned OSCE that it “may be a criminal offense for OSCE’s representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling place’s entrance,” as The Hill noted.

Texas immediately defunds Planned parenthood after favorable federal appeals court ruling

More legal action from Eric Holder in 3...2...1...
(Reuters) – A federal appeals court declined on Thursday to reconsider a ruling that would allow Texas to withhold funding for women’s healthcare from Planned Parenthood’s clinics because the organization also performs abortions.

Texas Governor Rick Perry said after the order by the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans that the state would immediately stop paying program participants that are affiliates of abortion providers.

“Today’s ruling affirms yet again that in Texas the Women’s Health Program has no obligation to fund Planned Parenthood and other organizations that perform or promote abortion,” the Republican governor said in a statement. “In Texas we choose life, and we will immediately begin defunding all abortion affiliates to honor and uphold that choice.”

In a Rolling Stone interview previewed in Politico’s “Playbook” morning email, President Barack Obama reportedly told the Rolling Stone’s Douglas Brinkley that people shouldn’t “underestimate” what he can and will accomplish in a second term if elected.

“We passed health care – something that presidents have tried to do for 100 years, and we will implement it,” Obama said.

I don’t actually need to say that since you’d have to be brain dead not to know that part. How about to Barack Obama’s re-election? Wait you say! Not us! We give my money to Planned Parenthood because women’s health is important. Our tax dollars should support this crucial organization. Well, don’t look now, but you look like the silver-haired matron of the abortion industry, Cecile Richards.
Actually, government grants and funding to Planned Parenthood in the last reported year 2009-2010 was $487.4 million—and so far $12 million from the non-profit has been given to re-elect President Obama. That’s right. This organization that cares so much about your cervix cares more about it’s proverbial booty.

Good news: Texas threatens to arrest UN election observers...

Go get'em...

Via The Hill:
Texas authorities have threatened to arrest international election observers, prompting a furious response from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
“The threat of criminal sanctions against [international] observers is unacceptable,” Janez Lenarčič, the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), said in a statement. “The United States, like all countries in the OSCE, has an obligation to invite ODIHR observers to observe its elections.”
Lawmakers from the group of 56 European and Central Asian nations have been observing U.S. elections since 2002, without incident. Their presence has become a flashpoint this year, however, as Republicans accuse Democrats of voter fraud while Democrats counter that GOP-inspired voter ID laws aim to disenfranchise minority voters.
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott further fueled the controversy on Tuesday when he sent a letter to the OSCE warning the organization that its representatives “are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place” and that it “may be a criminal offense for OSCE’s representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling place’s entrance.”

Amusing: Obama shows ID to vote (Video)

President Barack Obama gave his driver’s license to poll workers Thursday as he voted early in Chicago.
“I’m just glad I renewed my driver’s license,” Obama joked.
Voter I.D. laws, which require citizens to present approved forms of identification in order to vote, have become a point of Democratic objection this year.

Florida GOP Senate candidate Connie Mack says UN should be “kicked off of American soil,”

I couldn't agree more...

Via HuffPo:
Florida GOP Senate candidate Connie Mack had harsh words for the United Nations while on the campaign trail on Tuesday.
Mack, who is running to unseat Democratic incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson, stressed his conviction that the U.N. should be defunded and “kicked off of American soil,”according to The Tampa Tribune.
Mack made the remarks while making an appearance alongside Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz). It’s also not the first time the Senate candidate has leveled strong criticism against the United Nations.
Addressing the issue in a statement released earlier this week, Mack said, “The UN’s actions and intentions toward the United States have been nothing short of reprehensible.”

Blame Game: NYT's Blames Bubba for Obama’s Drop In The Polls…

So, claiming Mitt Romney is Bush III wasn't a good plan?

Via NYT:
When the histories of the 2012 campaign are written, much will be made of Bill Clinton’s re-emergence. His convention speech may well have marked the finest moment of President Obama’s re-election campaign, and his ads on the president’s behalf were memorable.

But there is one crucial way in which the 42nd president may not have served the 44th quite as well. In these final weeks before the election, Mr. Clinton’s expert advice about how to beat Mitt Romney is starting to look suspect.

You may recall that last spring, just after Mr. Romney locked up the Republican nomination, Mr. Obama’s team abruptly switched its strategy for how to define him. Up to then, the White House had been portraying Mr. Romney much as George W. Bush had gone after John Kerry in 2004 – as inauthentic and inconstant, a soulless climber who would say anything to get the job.

But it was Mr. Clinton who forcefully argued to Mr. Obama’s aides that the campaign had it wrong. The best way to go after Mr. Romney, the former president said, was to publicly grant that he was the “severe conservative” he claimed to be, and then hang that unpopular ideology around his neck.
The reason Obama is struggling is he has failed these last 4 years...

Video: Big Bird, Binders & Bayonets

You might have a case of Romnesia...big bird...big bird...

http://www.GOP.com -- President Obama is doing exactly what he decried in 2008: making a big election about small things, talking about Big Bird, binders, and bayonets. It's clear President Obama can't defend his record and he's flat out of ideas to get our economy going.

Obama: Obamacare not the "scary monster" the other side painted it as...

The scary monster has not been fully implemented. the scariest parts were deliberately pushed back to after this year's election.

Via The Hill:
Healthcare reform hasn’t turned out to be as scary as Republicans portrayed it, President Obama told the Des Moines Register editorial board as he made the case for a second term.
Obama regularly defends his signature healthcare law on the stump, and he brushed aside GOP criticism during the Register interview. Obama raised healthcare as he said he hopes to tackle immigration reform and deficit reduction in a second term, after the partisan rancor over his first-term achievements has subsided.
“So assume that you get those two things done in the first year, and we’re implementing Wall Street reform, Obamacare turns out not to have been the scary monster that the other side has painted. Now we’re in a position where we can start on some things that really historically have not been ideological,” Obama said.

Busted: Emails prove White House and State Department knew Benghazi was terrorist attack within 2 hours...

The Obama administration was deliberately deceiving the American public and Reuters has the emails to prove it...
(Reuters) – Officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack, official emails show.
The emails, obtained by Reuters from government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department and who requested anonymity, specifically mention that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks.
The brief emails also show how U.S. diplomats described the attack, even as it was still under way, to Washington.
U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the Benghazi assault, which President Barack Obama and other U.S. officials ultimately acknowledged was a “terrorist” attack carried out by militants with suspected links to al Qaeda affiliates or sympathizers.
Administration spokesmen, including White House spokesman Jay Carney, citing an unclassified assessment prepared by the CIA, maintained for days that the attacks likely were a spontaneous protest against an anti-Muslim film.[...]

NBC suggests Romney may rig Ohio voting machines?

The Kool-Aid runs deep at NBC...
In fact, with the incredibly close race comes a growing fear that Republicans are trying to steal the election with a dirty tactics to intimidate voters and manipulate the electoral process.

Democrats argue the push for voter ID laws, shortened early voting time frames or the spreading of rumors that voters will be chastised on Election Day, are all moves to disenfranchise without legitimate justification.

Now, the integrity of electronic voting machines is back in the spotlight. Reports are circulating there are “dubious links” between the voting machines in some counties [Hamilton and William] in Ohio and Governor Romney.

The machines are supplied by Hart Intercivic, a national e-voting company. The Austin-based firm is partially owned by H.I.G Capital, an investment company that has business ties to Solamere Capital, Tagg Romney’s [Mitt’s oldest son] equity firm.

The suggestion is that the Romney link is at best a conflict of interest, with even the potential for bias, fraud or irregularity.

Obama demands fact check about Romney's auto bailout editorial

Here it is. Obama was lying wrong...

Via Mitt Romney’s 2008 NYT op-ed:
IF General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye. It won’t go overnight, but its demise will be virtually guaranteed.
Without that bailout, Detroit will need to drastically restructure itself. With it, the automakers will stay the course — the suicidal course of declining market shares, insurmountable labor and retiree burdens, technology atrophy, product inferiority and never-ending job losses. Detroit needs a turnaround, not a check. [...]
But don’t ask Washington to give shareholders and bondholders a free pass — they bet on management and they lost.
The American auto industry is vital to our national interest as an employer and as a hub for manufacturing. A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs. The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.
In a managed bankruptcy, the federal government would propel newly competitive and viable automakers, rather than seal their fate with a bailout check.

Suffolk University survey: Romney, Obama tied in Ohio

Giddy up!

Via FOX News:
Mitt Romney has erased President Obama’s lead in Ohio, according to a Suffolk University survey, which shows the swing-state race tied at 47 percent.

The poll of likely voters, released Monday, also found the Republican presidential nominee leading Obama, 49 percent to 44 percent, among those planning to vote on Election Day, while Obama led, 48 percent to 44 percent, among those planning to vote before Nov. 6. Obama led, 54 percent to 41 percent, among those who said they had already voted, the survey found.

“Barack Obama has banked an early lead, but Mitt Romney should even the score with his slight edge among likely voters who plan to cast ballots on Election Day,” said David Paleologos, director of the school’s Political Research Center, in Boston. “However, failure to turn out his voters on Nov. 6 could be costly for Romney.”
