(News4) The U.S. Secret Service plans to raise the height of the White House security fence by 5 feet and add a new concrete foundation to reduce the risk of fence-jumpers, according to a copy of an agency report obtained by the News4 I-Team.

The agency, along with the National Park Service, said it intends to begin building a “taller, stronger” fence to protect the White House grounds by 2018.

New emails: Obama admin considered blaming Benghazi on a different YouTube video before settling on “Innocence of Muslims"

Newly released documents show that the Obama administration was eager to blame the Benghazi attack on a different Youtube video before it eventually settled on the “Innocence of Muslims video.”
A redacted email sent to the Diplomatic Security Command Center, obtained Tuesday by the group Judicial Watch, reveals that the White House’s priority at 9:11 PM on the night of the attack was to contact Youtube about a “Pastor Jon” video.
“DOD is looking at various resources,” the email reads, followed by redacted information.
“S [then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton] expected to make statements one of which may confirm KIA, notification of next of kin is pending confirmation. DCM The Hague was to call OPS when completed. White House is reaching out to U-Tube to advise ramifications of posting of the Pastor Jon video,” the email continued.
The “Pastor Jon” video may be a video called God vs. Allah, which was produced by American pastor Jon Courson.
The State Department Bureau of Diplomatic Security’s September 12 “Attack Timeline” makes no mention of a Youtube video, and Hillary Clinton received intelligence on September 12 linking the Ansar Al Sharia terrorist group to the attack.
Nevertheless, the administration still went ahead and blamed a different Youtube video, “Innocence of Muslims,” for inciting spontaneous violence that led to the deaths of four Americans.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Thursday afternoon that no public official, including the Kentucky county clerk who was jailed earlier in the day for refusing to give marriage licenses to same-sex couples, is above the law.

Kim Davis, a clerk from Rowan County, Kentucky, was found in contempt of court and taken into federal custody Thursday.

Earnest told reporters during his daily media briefing that he had not yet talked with President Obama about Davis being taken into custody.

“On principle, the success of our democracy depends on the rule of law. And there is no public official that is above the rule of law,” Earnest said. “Certainly not the President of the United States, but neither is the Rowan County clerk. That’s a principle that is enshrined in our Constitution and in our democracy and it’s one that obviously the courts are seeking to uphold.”

Confession: WH admits their gun control plan would not have prevented Virginia shooting...

Gun control won't prevent shootings unless you confiscate all guns. That is clearly unconstitutional.

The White House conceded Friday that new gun regulations probably wouldn’t have prevented the gunman who murdered two television journalists in southwestern Virginia this week.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said it appears that a proposal championed by President Obama to require background checks on purchases at gun shows “would not have applied in this particular case.”
Law enforcement officials said gunman Vester Flanagan used a Glock handgun in Wednesday’s shooting, one of two that he bought last month. He legally bought two Glock model 19 handguns from a Virginia dealer.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest is blaming Republicans after an illegal immigrant who was reportedly deported five times  was charged with murder in California.
When asked by reporters about critics of President Obama’s immigration enforcement policies, Earnest insisted that it was actually Republicans who are fault for voting against the Gang Of Eight bill last year, pointing out that it contained funding to increase border security.

The Department of Homeland Security released an executive summary of its report on the Secret Service moments ago. The report recommends that the U.S. government replace the entire fence surrounding the perimeter of the White House.
The report was drafted after a fence-jumper made it into the White House in September, prompting a congressional hearing and the resignation of Secret Service Director Julia Pierson.
Officials for the DHS declined to say in the report “precisely what the optimal new fence should look like,” but offered some suggestions.
“A number of common-sense improvements should be explored. For sure, the fence must be taller; even an increase of four or five feet would be materially helpful,” the report reads, calling for the fence to be manipulated to include “curvature outward” at the top of the fence to make it more difficult to scale.

IRS illegally gave up to 2500 taxpayer documents to White House?

The IRS improperly turned over thousands of confidential tax documents to the White House for review, according to information obtained from a lawsuit filed against the U.S. Treasury Department’s inspector general by the legal advocacy firm Cause of Action, exposing a pipeline of communication between the two, the Daily Caller reports.
“[T]he Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) informed Cause of Action that there exist nearly 2,500 potentially responsive documents relating to investigations of improper disclosures of confidential taxpayer information by the IRS to the White House,” Cause of Action noted, according to the Daily Caller.
Such documentation, including the exchange of confidential information between White House policy adviser Jeanne Lambrew and former IRS official Lois Lerner, came to light after it was revealed that the the IRS had likely targeted conservative groups for review, including one that had sought in a 2012 lawsuit to overturn Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate, the Daily Caller noted.
The Justice Department has asked for a longer window under which to review the newly found documents before releasing them publicly, the Daily Caller said.
The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard, in his “Secrets” column, called news of the leaked documents a “shocking revelation.”

White House bragging Republicans are powerless to stop their climate change agenda...

The reason Republicans are powerless is they have neutered themselves by promising to not fight the budget battle. Congress mainly has the power of the purse, but when you take your most potent weapon off the table because of fear of a publicity backlash if there is a shutdown, you have lost before you started.

The White House forged ahead Monday with yet another piece of its climate change agenda and bragged that Republicans are powerless to stop it.

A presidential task force unveiled a report on how communities across the country can prepare for the effects of global warming. In all, the recommendations on “climate preparedness and resilience” could cost the federal government more than $100 billion to protect drinking water supplies, shore up coastlines against rising sea levels and take other preventive measures.

The recommendations and subsequent expenses are just two pieces of an ever-expanding slate of global-warming that is sure to come under the microscope when Republicans assume control of the Senate in January.

But legal analysts say the Republicans have little ammunition to fight back, short of shutting down the federal government to stop Environmental Protection Agency funding.

White House officials, keenly aware of the executive power Mr. Obama holds on the issue of climate change, openly mocked incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his Republican colleagues.

“I believe the president will complete actions. It is a top priority of his and I don’t believe they can stop us,” White House counselor John Podesta told reporters on a conference call Monday. “Not withstanding Sen. McConnell making this a top priority to leave the status quo, to leave the air dirtier.” Keep on reading...

The White House is publicly distancing itself from MIT professor Jonathan Gruber's comments on the legislative process behind Obamacare and its "lack of transparency," which have been seized on by conservatives this week, saying that they are "simply not true."

Gruber also invoked "the stupidity of the American voter" in 2013 comments unearthed last week about the Affordable Care Act. He has since said that he regretted the comments and spoke "inappropriately."

“Transparency is a key goal of the ACA: consumers now have more access to information about their health insurance than ever before," White House spokesperson Jessica Santillo said in a statement to TPM.

Think Obama got China to agree to new emission reduction? Think again.

From the White House that brought you the deception of Obamacare, they are now deceiving you about climate agreements. That's because they think you are stupid and their mainstream media lapdogs will not call them out for their deceptions.

According to the White House, the agreement states that “The United States intends to achieve an economy-wide target of reducing its emissions by 26%-28% below its 2005 level in 2025 and to make best efforts to reduce its emissions by 28%. China intends to achieve the peaking of CO2 emissions around 2030 and to make best efforts to peak early and intends to increase the share of non-fossil fuels in primary energy consumption to around 20% by 2030.”

As numerous news accounts have pointed out, this means the U.S. will cut its emissions at a significantly faster rate than it had previously announced. According to the New York Times, under the new deal the U.S. will “double the pace of reduction it targeted for the period from 2005 to 2020.”[...]

Actually, China does not appear to have committed itself to anything new in the agreement. Indeed, following an Obama speech on U.S. climate policy back in June, China outlined its own future emissions policy.[...]

Further tempering expectations, Reuters paraphrased He as saying at the time that “China’s greenhouse gas emissions would only peak in 2030, at around 11 billion tonnes of CO2-equivalent.” China’s emissions are currently around 7-9.5 billion tonnes. Reuters also reported that He said to achieve this goal, “The share of non-fossil fuels in China’s energy mix would reach 20 to 25 percent in 2030.”

To be clear, He later tried to walk back his comments in an interview with the South China Morning Post, stating, “This is still a proposal made by Chinese experts after extensive research, [but is] not yet a government decision.”[...]

In that sense, the new deal hardly seems less like a landmark agreement and more like China reiterating what it had already announced, while Obama uses Beijing’s commitments as cover to accelerate America’s emissions reductions.  Keep on reading...
