President Obama on Friday criticized Iranian leaders for undermining the “spirit” of last year’s historic nuclear agreement, even as they stick to the “letter” of the pact.
In comments following the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, Obama denied speculation that the United States would ease rules preventing dollars from being used in financial transactions with Iran, in order to boost the country’s engagement with the rest of the world.
Instead, Obama claimed, that Iran’s troubles even after the lifting of sanctions under the nuclear deal were due to its continued support of Hezbollah, ballistic missile tests and other aggressive behavior.

Iran Nuke Deal Update: Iran has stopped dismantling nuclear centrifuges
Only Barack Obama, John Kerry and idiots thought Iran was going to keep this deal, but I repeat myself.
Via Reuters:
Via Reuters:
Iran has stopped dismantling centrifuges in two uranium enrichment plants, state media reported on Tuesday, days after conservative lawmakers complained to President Hassan Rouhani that the process was too rushed.
Last week, Iran announced it had begun shutting down inactive centrifuges at the Natanz and Fordow plants under the terms of a deal struck with world powers in July that limits its nuclear program in exchange for easing sanctions. [...]
"The (dismantling) process stopped with a warning," Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the National Security Council, was quoted as saying by the ISNA student news agency.
Only decommissioned centrifuges were being dismantled to begin with...

Iranian cyber attacks surge after Iran nuke deal...
Peace partners...
Via Free Beacon:
Via Free Beacon:
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps has in recent weeks launched increased cyber attacks on Obama administration officials, hacking into their email and social media accounts. U.S. officials believe that the hacks are related to the recent arrest of an Iranian-American businessman in Tehran.
The Wall Street Journal reported:
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, has routinely conducted cyberwarfare against American government agencies for years. But the U.S. officials said there has been a surge in such attacks coinciding with the arrest last month of Siamak Namazi, an energy industry executive and business consultant who has pushed for stronger U.S.-Iranian economic and diplomatic ties. Obama administration personnel are among a larger group of people who have had their computer systems hacked in recent weeks, including journalists and academics, the officials said. Those attacked in the administration included officials working at the State Department’s Office of Iranian Affairs and its Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs.

Iran nuke deal violates US sanctions law...
Violates the law? When did that ever matter to Barack Obama?
Via Fox News:
Via Fox News:
Some senior U.S. officials involved in the implementation of the Iran nuclear deal have privately concluded that a key sanctions relief provision – a concession to Iran that will open the doors to tens of billions of dollars in U.S.-backed commerce with the Islamic regime – conflicts with existing federal statutes and cannot be implemented without violating those laws, Fox News has learned.
At issue is a passage tucked away in ancillary paperwork attached to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA, as the Iran nuclear deal is formally known. Specifically, Section 5.1.2 of Annex II provides that in exchange for Iranian compliance with the terms of the deal, the U.S. “shall…license non-U.S. entities that are owned or controlled by a U.S. person to engage in activities with Iran that are consistent with this JCPOA.”

Barack Obama calls opponents of Iran deal "the crazies."
I think history will prove "the crazies" are the ones who who made the decision to not blast the Iranian nuclear program back to the stone age.
LAS VEGAS — There are the people on his side on the Iran deal, President Barack Obama said Monday evening. Then there are “the crazies.”
Back from a notably uneventful and restful two-week vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, Obama was immediately on the road for a short trip here, first to speak at a green energy conference hosted by retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, then to raise money for his preferred successor, former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto.
Ruddy from the sun, Obama described himself as “refreshed, renewed, recharged — a little feisty.”
And he delivered, recounting the ride he and Reid had just taken from the conference to the fundraiser in his up-armored presidential limo, where they talked about old times and getting back to Washington to “deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems.”

Secret Iran UN Deal: Iran Can Inspect Their Own Secret Site...
No. This is not from The Onion...
VIENNA (AP) -- Iran will be allowed to use its own inspectors to investigate a site it has been accused of using to develop nuclear arms, operating under a secret agreement with the U.N. agency that normally carries out such work, according to a document seen by The Associated Press. The revelation on Wednesday newly riled Republican lawmakers in the U.S. who have been severely critical of a broader agreement to limit Iran's future nuclear programs, signed by the Obama administration, Iran and five world powers in July. Those critics have complained that the wider deal is unwisely built on trust of the Iranians, while the administration has insisted it depends on reliable inspections.A skeptical House Speaker John Boehner said, "President Obama boasts his deal includes `unprecedented verification.' He claims it's not built on trust. But the administration's briefings on these side deals have been totally insufficient - and it still isn't clear whether anyone at the White House has seen the final documents."

Iran claims they get to approve all international nuclear inspectors...
This is the dumbest deal ever...
Via Free Beacon:
Via Free Beacon:
A senior Iranian official declared on Monday that international nuclear inspectors would only be permitted into the country once they receive approval from the Islamic Republic’s Intelligence Ministry, putting another roadblock between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran’s contested nuclear sites.
Sayyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister and one of the top negotiators in talks that led to the recently inked nuclear deal, told the country’s state-controlled press that Iran’s intelligence apparatus must approve of any inspector who is issued a visa to enter Iran.
This requirement could complicate efforts to prove to the world that Iran is being fully transparent and that nuclear inspectors inside the country are neutral.
Iran has already stated that no American inspector would be permitted into the country under the deal. The accord also grants Iran a 24-day notice period before inspectors enter any site suspected of being used for nuclear weapons work.

Iran is busy sanitizing Parchin
The inspections will fail. Iran will cheat and the UN won't do anything about it.
Via Daily Mail:
Aerial photos of a nuclear site in Iran appear to show ‘a last-ditch effort’ to hide ‘incriminating evidence’ before the inspections it agreed to in last month’s international deal.
The photos, from a respected Washington think tank, show ‘renewed activity’ at Parchin, a military site in Iran that has previously been linked to explosives work with nuclear weapons.
A report from the Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), reveals movement that started after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to end international sanctions on Iran.
As part of the deal, Iran agreed to host inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at sites such as Parchin, where the country is suspected of developing nuclear weapons.
The report by the Institute for Science and International Security says: ‘Although it is difficult to fathom Iran’s motivations for its recent actions at Parchin, this renewed activity may be a last-ditch effort to try to ensure that no incriminating evidence will be found.’
The pictures show new activity on the roofs of two buildings, as well as oil spills from vehicles and the presence of two large vehicles – one of which ‘could’ be a bulldozer or steamroller.
The report says the evidence ‘raises concerns’ that Iran is trying to conduct ‘further sanitization efforts’ which make a mockery of the military inspections.

Obama seems to be OK with this outcome...

Via AFP:
President Barack Obama acknowledged Wednesday that Iran might use cash coming its way under sanctions relief to fund “terrorist organizations” but argued this is preferable to allowing it to develop nuclear arms.
“The truth is, that Iran has always found a way to fund these efforts,” Obama said, in a speech to defend the Iran nuclear deal.

Iran: U.S. barred from knowing our deals with the IAEA
Congress is insane if they don't kill this deal...
Via WFB:
Via WFB:
Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said the nuclear inspection organization is barred from revealing to the United States any details of deals it has inked with Tehran to inspect its contested nuclear program going forward, according to regional reports.
Recent disclosures by Iran indicate that the recently inked nuclear accord includes a series of side deals on critical inspections regimes that are neither public nor subject to review by the United States.
Reza Najafi, Iran’s ambassador and permanent envoy to the IAEA, stated over the weekend that no country is permitted to know the details of future inspections conducted by the IAEA. In addition, no U.S. inspectors will be permitted to enter Iran’s nuclear sites.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is getting $100 billion out of Iran nuke deal. What did we get?
At best, a delay of when Iran gets the bomb. At worst, nothing.
Via Free Beacon:
Via Free Beacon:
The Obama administration is gearing up to lift economic sanctions on a nearly $100 billion network of organizations belonging to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, according to the parameters of the recent Iranian nuclear deal.
On the day the nuclear deal is implemented, the United States will lift sanctions on Khamenei’s financial empire, which comprises a large network of foundations and companies that personally enrich the Islamic Republic’s leader.
The removal of these sanctions will likely “pump tens of billions of dollars into the supreme leader’s personal coffers, helping him secure his grip on the Iranian people, and bolstering Iran’s ability to promote its agenda abroad,” according to a recent analysis from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said the four American hostages being held in Iran should not have been released as a pre-condition to the Iran nuclear deal, but she added that because “we have a nuclear agreement, that a much brighter light is being shone on the prisoners of conscience in Iran.”
At a Capitol Hill press conference, CNSNews.com asked Rep. Pelosi, “Do you think the four American hostages being held in Iran should have been released as a pre-condition to any deal made about Iran’s nuclear program?”
Pelosi answered, “No, no, it would have been good but it’s just — no, this is a nuclear deal. This is a nuclear agreement and I think that we have to –. I appreciate the fact that since we have a nuclear negotiation and now we have a nuclear agreement that a much brighter light is being shone on the prisoners of conscience in Iran
Obama is an idiot update: Iran nuke deal bans US inspectors...
Worst negotiator ever...
Via The Washington Free Beacon:
Via The Washington Free Beacon:
U.S. and Iranian officials confirmed Thursday that no American nuclear inspectors will be permitted to enter the country’s contested nuclear site under the parameters of a deal reached with world powers this week, according to multiple statements by American and Iranian officials.
Under the tenants of the final nuclear deal reached this week in Vienna, only countries with normal diplomatic relations with Iran will be permitted to participate in inspections teams organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The revelation of this caveat has attracted concern from some analysts who maintain that only American experts can be trusted to verify that Iran is not cheating on the deal and operating clandestine nuclear facilities.
VP Joe Biden thinks Democrats will love Iran nuke deal after he explains it...
Biden could be right if a lobotomy is part of the explanation...
(Reuters) – Vice President Joe Biden said on Wednesday he expects U.S. congressional Democrats to back the nuclear deal with Iran once they understand it.
“I’m here to answer questions and explain what the deal is, and I’m confident they’ll like it when they understand it all,” Biden told reporters as he headed into a meeting with Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives, many of whom have expressed skepticism about the nuclear deal announced on Tuesday.

Sen. Tom Cotton was the only vote against the "Senate Compromise on Iran Nuclear Deal" bill
Sen. Cotton may be the only constitutional conservative left in the Senate.
Via Slate:
Via Slate:
For his part, Cotton released a statement denouncing the bill as wrongfully bestowing a "blessing" from Congress on the White House's approach to Iran:
A nuclear-arms agreement with any adversary—especially the terror-sponsoring, Islamist Iranian regime—should be submitted as a treaty and obtain a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate as required by the Constitution. President Obama wants to reverse this rule, requiring opponents to get a two-thirds vote to stop his dangerous deal. But Congress should not accept this usurpation, nor allow the president any grounds to claim that Congress blessed his nuclear deal. I will work with Republicans and Democrats to stop a dangerous deal that would put Iran on the path to obtaining a nuclear weapon.
