Iran Nuke Deal Update: Iran has stopped dismantling nuclear centrifuges

Only Barack Obama, John Kerry and idiots thought Iran was going to keep this deal, but I repeat myself.

Via Reuters:

Iran has stopped dismantling centrifuges in two uranium enrichment plants, state media reported on Tuesday, days after conservative lawmakers complained to President Hassan Rouhani that the process was too rushed.
Last week, Iran announced it had begun shutting down inactive centrifuges at the Natanz and Fordow plants under the terms of a deal struck with world powers in July that limits its nuclear program in exchange for easing sanctions. [...]
"The (dismantling) process stopped with a warning," Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the National Security Council, was quoted as saying by the ISNA student news agency.
Only decommissioned centrifuges were being dismantled to begin with...

Iranian Foreign Minister: Obama administration is lying about nuke framework deal...

Lying is what the Obama administration is good at...

Via The Free Beacon:
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif accused the Obama administration of misleading the American people and Congress in a fact sheet it released following the culmination of negotiations with the Islamic Republic.
Zarif bragged in an earlier press conference with reporters that the United States had tentatively agreed to let it continue the enrichment of uranium, the key component in a nuclear bomb, as well as key nuclear research.
Zarif additionally said Iran would have all nuclear-related sanctions lifted once a final deal is signed and that the country would not be forced to shut down any of its currently operating nuclear installations.
Following a subsequent press conference by Secretary of State John Kerry—and release of a administration fact sheet on Iranian concessions—Zarif lashed out on Twitter over what he dubbed lies.

Sacre bleu! The French are taking a tougher stance on Iran nuke deal than Obama...

Well, this is embarrassing.
LAUSANNE, Switzerland—France is again adopting the toughest line against Iran in negotiations aimed at curbing Tehran’s nuclear program, potentially placing Paris at odds with the Obama administration as a diplomatic deadline to forge an agreement approaches at month-end.
President Barack Obama called French President François Hollande on Friday to discuss the Iran diplomacy and try to unify their positions. The presidents “reaffirmed their commitment” to a deal “while noting that Iran must take steps to resolve several remaining issues,” the White House said.
French diplomats have been publicly pressing the U.S. and other world powers not to give ground on key elements—particularly the speed of lifting U.N. sanctions and the pledge to constrain Iran’s nuclear research work—ahead of the March 31 target.

Rasmussen: 60% believe any Obama-Iran nuke agreement requires the approval of Congress

Why Obama is pushing this unpopular plan is a mystery to me. History will judge him harshly.

Via Rasmussen:
Voters remain lukewarm about the nuclear deal the Obama administration is negotiating with Iran, and most think it needs to be approved by Congress. But they aren’t happy with the letter 47 Republican senators sent to the Iranian government putting the current negotiations in question either.
Thirty-seven percent (37%) of Likely U.S. Voters favor the administration’s deal seeking a 10-year freeze on Iran’s nuclear development program in exchange for lifting some sanctions on the Iranian economy. But the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that slightly more (39%) still oppose such a deal. Twenty-five percent (25%) are not sure.  […]
While voters are almost evenly divided over the deal itself, 60% believe any agreement the Obama administration makes with Iran regarding the Iranian nuclear program requires the approval of Congress. Just 23% disagree, while 17% are undecided.

Guess who is threatening to nuke the White House!

If you guessed North Korea, you win.

Via The Hill:
A senior North Korean military official on Sunday threatened to launch a nuclear strike on the White House and Pentagon, according to Agence France-Presse.
“If the US imperialists threaten our sovereignty and survival… our troops will fire our nuclear-armed rockets at the White House and the Pentagon — the sources of all evil,” Hwang Pyong-So said in a speech in Pyongyang during a military rally.
Hwang is director of the military’s General Political Bureau.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes, after the election, President Obama will be more flexible on Iran getting nukes...

Obama more flexible after the election? I wonder where he got that idea?

Via Washington Examiner:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes that President Obama’s ‘red line’ about Iranian nuclear weapons is written in vanishing ink.
Ahmadinejad suggested that Obama will give him more flexibility on the nuclear program after the American presidential election.
“Do you believe that he [Obama] will repeat such a policy?” Ahmadinejad said during a Washington Post interview this weekend. That was his reply when asked if Obama will reiterate his oft-stated position that “the U.S. is prepared to prevent Iran from gaining a nuclear weapon—that’s Obama’s ‘red line,’” as David Ignatius put it.

Scary: Taliban Want to Overthrow Pakistani Government and Seize Their Nukes

Everyone should have goals, but the Taliban have really scary goals.

Via LWJ:
One of the top leaders of the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan said the terror group seeks to overthrow the Pakistani government, impose sharia, or Islamic law, seize the country’s nuclear weapons, and wage jihad until “the Caliphate is established across the world.”
The statements were made by Omar Khalid al Khurasani, the al Qaeda-linked leader of the Movement the Taliban in Pakistan’s branch in the Mohmand tribal agency, in a video that was released on jihadist web forums yesterday. The video, which also discussed the history and evolution of the Movement the Taliban in Pakistan, was released by Umar Studios and has been translated by the SITE Intelligence Group.
In the video, Khalid said the Movement of the Taliban in Pakistan was united and strong and operating under the leadership of Hakeemullah Mehsud. Khalid outlined five “important goals” of the Taliban: overthrow the Pakistani institutions; release both Pakistani and “foreign” fighters; impose sharia law; obtain a nuclear weapon; and establish a global caliphate.

UN Nuclear Watchdog Discovers Iran Wants Nukes

Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has finally noticed Iran's Manhattan Project.
According to REUTERS:
LONDON, June 17 (Reuters) - Iran wants the ability to build nuclear weapons to gain the reputation of a major power in the Middle East, the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog said in a BBC interview broadcast on Wednesday.

Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said Iran sees nuclear weapons as an “insurance policy” against perceived threats from neighbouring countries or the United States.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s disputed re-election has cast doubt on Western powers’ hopes of a new dialogue with Iran over its nuclear programme, which Iran says is for producing electricity only, not atomic bombs.

“My gut feeling is that Iran definitely would like to have the technology ... that would enable it to have nuclear weapons if they decided to do so,” ElBaradei told the BBC. “It wants to send a message to its neighbours, it wants to send a message to the rest of the world: yes, don’t mess with us, we can have nuclear weapons if we want it.”
