BTW: That Ky County Clerk who won't issue gay marriage license is a Democrat...

Personally, I think the Supreme Court shout have stayed out of it. Marriage licenses are a State issue. They should quit finding unicorns hiding in the 14th Amendment every time liberals want to change society. At this point, it is time for Davis to resign her position. She is out of options.

Via Buzzfeed:
Davis’s lawyer didn’t return a request for comment. In a statement released Tuesday, she said, “some people have said I should resign, but I have done my job well.” She added, “I never imagined a day like this would come, where I would be asked to violate a central teaching of Scripture and of Jesus Himself regarding marriage. To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience.”
Davis has worked as a clerk in Rowan County for more than 25 years. In May 2014 — while serving as chief deputy in the clerk’s office — she narrowly won the Democratic nomination for the top job by 23 votes.

You can donate to the Colorado baker being persecuted for not making a gay wedding cake...

The donation can be anonymous...

Via Daily Signal
Family and friends of a Christian cake designer hope to help him with a fundraising campaign after a Colorado court ruled Thursday that he must create cakes for same-sex weddings despite his religious beliefs.
“Cake artist” Jack Phillips has said his bakery, Masterpiece Cakeshop, has lost more than a third of its receipts since he stopped making all wedding cakes while the case makes its way through the legal system.
“We hope it will relieve some of the financial pressure on Jack,” his brother-in-law, Jim Sander, said of the new fundraising effort in a phone interview Friday with The Daily Signal. “A business that has a 10 percent loss is a big deal in the Wall Street Journal. So a 40 percent loss is a big hit.”
Sander said the “crowdfunding” campaign, through the website Continue to Give, a Christian-oriented service, went online Thursday afternoon—hours after the Colorado Court of Appeals decided Phillips and his business must provide cakes for gay marriages.
The mission: Financially support Phillips, 59, and “protect his freedom of speech and freedom of religion.” The goal: Raise $200,000.
Those who go to the “Support Jack Phillips” site may contribute any amount, making their names and size of donation public or keeping either private. Giver also may leave encouraging messages for Phillips.
The first contributions began to trickle in Thursday night. As of 4 p.m. Sunday, the site had logged 17 donations.

...Kagan’s 2009 testimony before the Senate during confirmation hearings on her nomination to be Solicitor General.
In the course of that testimony, Kagan stated:
“There is no federal constitutional right to same-sex marriage”

Flashback: Hillary Clinton was against Gay Marriage & for removing Saddam

Change...

Hillary Clinton was against Gay Marriage & for removing Saddam

Irony: Some alleged news organization with "The Patriot-News" in their name eliminates free speech...

Could they at least drop "The Patriot-News" part of their name?
On Friday, the United States crossed a similar threshold, continuing a long road to acceptance of same-sex unions.
And this news organization now crosses another threshold.
As a result of Friday’s ruling, PennLive/The Patriot-News will very strictly limit op-Eds [sic] and letters to the editor in opposition to same-sex marriage.
These unions are now the law of the land. And we will not publish such letters and op-Eds [sic] any more than we would publish those that are racist, sexist or anti-Semitic.

Memories Pizza is opening back up and they still won't serve a gay wedding...

Chutzpah...

Via Truth Revolt:
Memories Pizza will re-open today, reports the Daily Mail. The owners of the pizza parlor received threats of death and violence, after telling a reporter they would not cater a gay wedding due to their religious beliefs and closed their business.
The pizza parlor owners who received death threats and were subjected to an online hate campaign will reopen for business tomorrow with the backing of $842,000 from well wishers and a defiant message that they stand by their opposition to gay weddings. They were going to open today but were advised to hold off for security reasons.
Kevin O’Connor and daughter Crystal also revealed what they have planned for all the money raised for them.
They revealed they are set to share their new fortune with disabled children, a women’s help group, fire fighters, police trusts, Christian churches and Washington florist Barronelle Stutzman, 70, who was fined after declaring she would not serve a gay wedding.

$842,387 raised for the owners of Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Indiana

The gay mafia hardest hit...

Via Washington Times:
A staggering $842,387 was raised in just two days for the owners of Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Indiana, after they came under attack for saying they would refuse for religious reasons to cater a hypothetical gay wedding.
The “Support Memories Pizza” page on GoFundMe.com closed for donations Friday evening following a stunning 48-hour fundraising campaign that took in contributions from 29,160 people. The total raised is more than four times the original goal of $200,000.
“It’s been fantastic, the support we have gotten. I don’t have the words to describe it,” said an emotional Kevin O’Connor in a Thursday interview with TheBlazeTV’s Dana Loesch.
Mr. O’Connor, who owns Memories Pizza with his 21-year-old daughter Crystal, said he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of encouragement, both financial and emotional. Ms. Loesch and her staff launched the crowdfunding page Wednesday.

Supremes to rule on gay marriage...

Do you remember when gay meant happy? I do. SCOTUS is going to rule if there is a constitutional right to gay marriage. There isn't, but I believe it is a states issue. If they want to allow it, I am OK with that.  If you believe the constitution guarantees a right to gay marriage, you have to believe the people who wrote the Constitution supported gay marriage or they accidentally wrote in the right due to stupidity. Neither of those scenarios are true. This is the same as abortion. SCOTUS found the right, but it is not based on the Constitution. If you read the Roe vs. Wade decision, the word Constitution only comes up once.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Setting the stage for a potentially historic ruling, the Supreme Court announced Friday it will decide whether same-sex couples have a right to marry everywhere in America under the Constitution.
The justices will take up gay-rights cases that ask them to overturn bans in four states and declare for the entire nation that people can marry the partners of their choice, regardless of gender. The cases will be argued in April, and a decision is expected by late June.
Proponents of same-sex marriage said they expect the court to settle the matter once and for all with a decision that invalidates state provisions that define marriage as between a man and a woman.

Two Christian ministers face jail time for refusing to perform gay marriages...

Change...

Via Todd Starnes:
Two Christian ministers who own an Idaho wedding chapel were told they had to either perform same-sex weddings or face jail time and up to $1,000 in daily fines, according to a lawsuit filed Friday in federal court.
Alliance Defending Freedom is representing Donald and Evelyn Knapp, two ordained ministers who own the Hitching Post Wedding Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.
“Right now they are at risk of being prosecuted,” attorney Jeremy Tedesco told me. “The threat of enforcement is more than just credible.”
The wedding chapel is registered as a “religious corporation” limited to performing “one-man-one-woman marriages as defined by the Holy Bible.”
However, the chapel is also a for-profit business and city officials said that means the owners must comply with the local nondiscrimination ordinance.
That ordinance, passed in 2013, prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation and it applies to housing, employment and public accommodation.

The Supremes skipped gay marriage, but want to decide on Muslim beards...

Strange priorities...

Via The Washington Examiner

The Supreme Court on Tuesday appeared to agree with an Arkansas inmate’s complaint that his religious rights were violated when prison officials refused to let him grow out his beard in accordance with his Muslim beliefs.
It’s the first religious liberty case the court has taken up since its controversial Hobby Lobby decision in June that said businesses can use religious beliefs to opt out of an Affordable Care Act requirement that employers cover birth control for employees.
Inmate Gregory Holt says he should be allowed to grow a half-inch beard, arguing that the prison's grooming policy against beards is discriminatory under the federal Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act.

Denmark passes law forcing churches to conduct gay marriage...

Religious freedom has died in Europe. Obama, democrats and liberals are planning on killing it here.
Via Telegraph:
The country’s parliament voted through the new law on same-sex marriage by a large majority, making it mandatory for all churches to conduct gay marriages.
Denmark’s church minister, Manu Sareen, called the vote “historic”.
“I think it’s very important to give all members of the church the possibility to get married. Today, it’s only heterosexual couples.”
Under the law, individual priests can refuse to carry out the ceremony, but the local bishop must arrange a replacement for their church.

Change: Military to provide 10 days leave so same sex couples can get married...

Pushing the progressive social agenda...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Same-sex spouses of military members could get health care, housing and other benefits by the end of August under a proposal being considered by the Pentagon. But earlier plans to provide benefits to gay partners who are not married may be reversed.
A draft Defense Department memo obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press says the department instead may provide up to 10 days of leave to military personnel in same-sex relationships so they can travel to states where they can marry legally.
The memo from Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel to top defense leaders, if implemented, would reverse an earlier plan that would have allowed the same-sex partners of military members to sign a declaration form in order to receive limited benefits, such as access to military stores and some health and welfare programs.
