Indoctrination: Connecticut school blocks GOP and conservative websites, but not liberal ones...

Your kids aren't getting an education, they are getting a liberal indoctrination...

Via Fox CT:
A Woodbury High Schooler claims he uncovered political bias in the implementation of a firewall blocking some political Web sites at his school.
18-year-old Andrew Lampart, a senior at Nonnewaug High School, said he made the discovery when he was doing research for a classroom debate on gun control in May. Lampart said he first noticed that he could not get on the web site for the National Rifle Association.
“So, I went over to the other side. And I went over on sites such as Moms Demand Action or Newtown Action Alliance and I could get on these Web sites but not the others,” Lampart said.
Lampart investigated further, by broadening his search terms to Connecticut’s political parties.
“I immediately found out that the State Democrat web site was unblocked but the State GOP web site was blocked.”
Lampart even looked at Web sites focusing on abortion issues and religion. He found that “right-to-life” groups were blocked by the public school firewall but that Planned Parenthood and Pro-Choice America were not. He also tried to get on web sites such as Christianity.com and the Vatican’s web site but both were blocked. Islam-guide.com he found, was not.

Is Santa a conservative?

According to this list, he must be. Here are a few of the 13 reasons.

1. Did you ever hear Santa wishing someone a “Happy Holidays?” No, for the man in red, it’s always “Merry Christmas” – no matter who it offends.
2. He lives in the North Pole – a tax haven with a zero percent tax rate – hardly a sign of someone who believes in government and wants to pay his “fair share.”
3. Santa’s whole mission is one of private charity. There are no records of the Santa Claus movement being given even $1 in public assistance. Santa epitomizes charity over welfare.
4. He is the sole employer in the area of huge amounts of unskilled elves. Does anyone really believe they are getting minimum wage? They certainly aren’t getting $15 an hour as the unions demand....
11. The naughty or nice list also shows an objective moral compass. Santa apparently rejects liberal relativism or explaining away bad behavior with pop psychology and ‘culture’ issues.
12. His love of cookies and large stomach shows a blatant disregard for Michelle Obama’s healthy eating program, as it encourages children to believe that eating vast quantities of cookies is perfectly acceptable. If he were a liberal, he’d be asking for broccoli and cranberry juice....

Speaker celebrates 50 years since MLK "I have a dream" speech by comparing conservative SCOTUS Justices to KKK...

"Today there are no white sheets, but there are judges in black robes in the U.S. Supreme Court striking down Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act, opening the floodgates in many states to pass more voter ID laws... with the goal of ensuring we never see a black man elected to the president, or woman, of the United states of America."

Master Sgt. being punished by Army for anti-Obama bumper stickers on his car, reading books written by conservative authors

Change comes to the Army...

Via FOX:
A veteran member of the U.S. Army Band said he is facing retribution and punishment from the military for having anti-Obama bumper stickers on his car, reading books written by conservative authors like Mark Levin and David Limbaugh, and serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at his promotion party.

Master Sgt. Nathan Sommers, a 25-year Army veteran and conservative Christian based at Fort Myer in Washington, believes his outspoken opposition to gay marriage prompted higher-ups to take a closer look at his beliefs. The recipient of an Army Commendation Medal and a soloist at the funeral of former First Lady Betty Ford, Sommers said his core beliefs are enough to mark a soldier for persecution in today’s military.

“It seems like with the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell – that the Christians have been the ones who’ve had to go underground and in the closet – for fear of retaliation and reprisals,” Sommers told Fox News. “Christians feel like they can’t be forthright with their faith. They have to hide.”
Ret. Navy Commander John Bennett Wells is representing the master sergeant. He said there is no doubt in his mind that the U.S. military is discriminating against Christians – and specifically his client.

Gallop: 41% Now Describe Their Political Views as Conservative

Does Joe Biden think 41% of Americans are Terrorists? 41% now consider their political views to be conservative. Only 21% now consider themselves to be liberals.

Gallop:
Americans' political ideology at the midyear point of 2011 looks similar to 2009 and 2010, with 41% self-identifying as conservative, 36% as moderate, and 21% as liberal.

If this pattern continues, 2011 will be the third straight year that conservatives significantly outnumber moderates -- the next largest ideological bloc. Liberalism has been holding steady for the past six years, averaging either 21% or 22%, although notably higher than the 17% average seen in Gallup polling during the early to middle '90s.

Liberal Fail: 10% of Likely Voters claim to be both fiscal and social liberals

It was easy to be a liberal when they had no responsibility for anything and could spend their days throwing rocks at President Bush. Now, liberals control the White House and Senate. The controlled the House until last year's election. From an economic point of view, their policies have been a disaster. Rasmussen has found few voters want to be identified as a liberal now. On the other hand, 40% or more of voters identify themselves as conservatives.
(Rasmussen) — Voters remain slightly more conservative when it comes to fiscal policy than they are on social issues, while 29% still say they are conservative in both areas.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 10% of Likely Voters claim to be both fiscal and social liberals. A majority (61%), however, are some other combination.

Forty-four percent (44%) of voters classify themselves as conservative on fiscal issues such as taxes, government spending and business regulation. Nearly as many (40%) view themselves as moderate on these issues, while 12% feel they are fiscal liberals.

On social issues like abortion, public prayer and Church-state topics, 40% of voters consider themselves conservative. Thirty-one percent (31%) feel they are liberal in these areas, while 26% see themselves as socially moderate.

Southern Conservative Democrats Abandon the Democratic Party

Left Turn Only: Dispatches From the Progressive Underground

There is no such thing as a conservative Democrat anymore. The Democratic Party has moved to the far left and isn't coming back anytime soon.

The LA Times reported:
But after his party's midterm beat-down in November, Bell, a commissioner in northern Georgia's Hall County, jumped ship. He joined the Republicans.

Bell, 30, said he had serious issues with the healthcare law and believed that conservative "blue dog" Democrats in Congress who shared his values had been bullied into voting for it.

Bell's defection is one of dozens by state and local Democratic officials in the Deep South in recent months that underscore Republicans' continued consolidation of power in the region — a process that started with presidential politics but increasingly affects government down to the level of dogcatcher.

"I think the midterms showed you really can't be a conservative and be a member of the Democratic Party," Bell said.

CNN's Strange Idea of a Conservative

CNN's Kathleen Parker is one of their "conservative" commentators. Parker thought Obama was a moderate and "led" the attack against Sarah Palin. With conservatives like that, who needs liberals?

Via NewsBusters:

JOHN ZIEGLER: So you didn’t buy into the Obama moderation myth?

KATHLEEN PARKER: I did.

ZIEGLER: You were duped by the media –

PARKER: I was one of those people who thought this is a guy who is talking about not a red, not a blue America, and who’s going to bring the country together.

ZIEGLER: So you were duped.

PARKER: I was at that 2004 Democratic convention.

ZIEGER: Were you duped?

PARKER: No, I’m not going to say I was duped, I’m saying –

ZIEGLER: So you stand by that.

PARKER: Listen to you: I’m the interviewer here. [Nervous laughter] This is fun; this is fun. But I wrote critical things of him, and I still write critical things of him.

ZIEGLER: You endorsed him. You endorsed him before the election. And you took pride –

PARKER: I did not endorse. I did not endorse.

ZIEGLER: You took part in the targeting of Sarah Palin. You essentially took part in the assassination of Sarah Palin 1.0. That person is dead; she doesn’t exist any more.

PARKER: No, no, no. Actually, I did not take part in it: I led it. Let’s be clear. Let’s get our facts straight.

How liberal is San Francisco? A Trans-gender woman who used to own a sex toy shop has been labeled a "Conservative"

Theresa Sparks (left)

I shudder to think what you would have to do in San Francisco to be labeled a liberal. Apparently, this woman got labeled a "Conservative" because she once opposed a tax or something.

FOX News reported:

A transgender woman who used to run a sex toy company called Good Vibrations reportedly is being labeled as the "conservative" candidate in a local San Francisco race.

SF Weekly reports that Theresa Sparks, a candidate for a seat on the city's Board of Supervisors, is being criticized as the insider, conservative pick.

Sparks is backed by Mayor Gavin Newsom and held a seat on the city's Police Commission. She allegedly drifts "conservative" by opposing a hotel tax and, according to one local paper, declining to put pressure on the city's police officers while serving on the disciplinary panel.

But Sparks dismissed that label in an interview with SF Weekly.

No wonder Nancy Pelosi keeps getting reelected.
