Liberal media poster boy for unfair 'no fly' list gets arrested for being ISIS cell member...

Color me shocked...

Via PJ Media:
A man, who just two years ago was the poster boy for the far-Left media’s attacks against the U.S. government’s no-fly list for “unfairly” targeting Muslims, finds himself and several family members sitting in a Turkish prison — arrested earlier this month near the Turkey-Syria border as members of an ISIS cell.
It’s a long way from 2013 when Saadiq Long’s cause was being championed by MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, Glenn Greenwald, and Mother Jones, and was being represented by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) terror front.
His story got considerable media attention when his CAIR media representatives here pushed the story that Long wanted to return to his native Oklahoma from his current home in Qatar to visit his ailing mother but couldn’t because he was on the TSA’s no-fly list. They said his case represented institutional “Islamophobia.”

Texas terror suspect was let off terrorism related charges by liberal Obama appointed judge...

Republicans should block all Obama judicial nominees until 2017.

Via Vocativ:
... He was facing up to eight years in prison if federal prosecutors had been able to convince Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Mary Murguia that the trip was related to international or domestic terrorism. Ultimately, Murguia in 2011 sentenced him to three years probation for the false statement. According to federal court records obtained by Vocativ, the judge determined that the feds didn’t make their case—despite audio recordings of Simpson talking about “jihad” with an FBI informant.[...]
In another recording, from May 29, 2009, Simpson tells Deng: “It’s time to go to Somalia, brother,” before explaining, “we gonna make it to the battlefield…it’s time to roll.” On January 7, 2010, FBI agents contacted Simpson and specifically asked whether he “discussed traveling to, or are you planning to, travel to Somalia?”
Simpson said “no.”[...]
Federal prosecutors wanted Simpson to receive the beefed-up sentence of eight years because, they argued, his crime of lying to federal authorities involved terrorism. But Judge Murguia—an Obama appointee on what is often considered to be the most left-leaning appeals court in the country—found that there was insufficient evidence that Simpson’s false statement to authorities involved international terrorism.  Read it all...

Surprise: Pajama boy is a liberal...

Would the majority of Americans prefer to raise their sons to be Pajama boys or Duck Dynasty boys?

Via The Daily Caller:
Ethan Krupp, the little man who played “Pajama Boy” in a widely mocked Obamacare ad, once characterized himself as a “liberal f*ck.”
Krupp, an Organizing for Action (OFA) content writer who became the face of progressive America while wearing a onesie pajama suit, also remarked that gays “are all liberal f*cks” and criticized a “conservative gay pr*ck” on his now-deleted WordPress blog, entitled “Not Being Creative.”
“I am a Liberal F*ck,” Krupp wrote in one post. “A Liberal F*ck is not a Democrat, but rather someone who combines political data and theory, extreme leftist views and sarcasm to win any argument while make the opponents feel terrible about themselves. I won every argument but one.”

LA Times refuses to print letter that disagree with their liberal version of facts...

This is why the LA Times is a propaganda outlet, not a journalistic newspaper...

Via Newsbuters:
It’s one thing for a news outlet to advance the as yet unproven theory of anthropogenic global warming; it’s quite another to admit that you won’t publish views that oppose it.
As amazing as it may same, that’s exactly what the Los Angeles Times did Saturday in an article by editorial writer Jon Healey:
Regular readers of The Times’ Opinion pages will know that, among the few letters published over the last week that have blamed the Democrats for the government shutdown (a preponderance faulted House Republicans), none made the argument about Congress exempting itself from Obamacare.
Why? Simply put, this objection to the president’s healthcare law is based on a falsehood, and letters that have an untrue basis (for example, ones that say there’s no sign humans have caused climate change) do not get printed.

Obvious: Friend of Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis reveals he was a liberal Obama supporter...

At least this is one they won't be able to blame on right wing extremists...

Via Breitbart:
Tuesday, on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” Michael Ritrovato spoke at length about his friend, suspected Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis. After expressing his condolences to the victims and their families, Ritrovato then expressed his shock over the actions of a man he described as being “like a brother to me” and a “good-natured guy.”
Ritrovato  went on to explain that two of them had a close relationship based in part on their differences, specifically race and politics. Alexis was black, Ritrovato is white. Ritrovato described himself as conservative and Alexis is “more of a liberal type” who supported Barack Obama:
I would say things like, ‘You know, you are my brother from another mother.’ And he would say things like, ‘You’re my Italian mafia guy from New York.’ So we had things we joked about: Aaron wasn’t conservative like I am. He was more of a liberal type; he wasn’t happy with the former [Bush] administration. He was more happy with this [the Obama] administration — as far as presidential administrations.

Liberal Matt Damon refuses to enroll children in liberal Los Angeles schools because they aren't “progressive” enough..

If the school uniforms were Mao suits would that meet Damon's "progressive" expectation?

Via Breitbart:
In an interview with the Guardian published Saturday, Damon revealed that he had just moved to Los Angeles from New York, but that he didn’t “have a choice” when it came to putting his four daughters into private schools. The multi-millionaire did say that it was “a major moral dilemma” and then made the bizarre excuse that the public schools aren’t “progressive” enough.
This would probably mark the first time anyone has ever complained that America’s public schools, especially in Los Angeles, aren’t left-wing enough.
The Guardian interview is part of the 42-year-old actor’s promotional tour for his upcoming sci-fi tentpole “Elysium,” which opens Friday.

Not Shocking: Former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas H. Shulman's Wife Is an Exec at Left-Wing Political Action Group...

I wonder how she enjoyed those 150+ Easter Egg rolls Shulman took her to the White House for...

Via The Blaze:
Former Internal Revenue Service commissioner Douglas H. Shulman, a frequent White House visitor when the IRS was targeting conservative nonprofits, is married to an executive with Public Campaign, an unabashed left-wing organization “dedicated to sweeping campaign reform that aims to dramatically reduce the role of big special interest money in American politics.”

The IRS is being investigated for delaying the tax-exempt nonprofit status of conservative organizations. In the midst of this scandal, a number of groups have defended the IRS, The Daily Caller reported, adding that “one of those defenders” is Public Campaign.

Shulman’s wife Susan L. Anderson is the Washington-based nonprofit’s senior program adviser.

Unlikely: Turner Broadcasting System CEO claims CNN “is a serious news network”

Well, they had me fooled...

Via Newsbusters:
Just when you think you’ve heard it all, along comes Philip Kent — chairman and chief executive officer of the Turner Broadcasting System, which owns the Cable News Network – who says that CNN “is a serious news network” that viewers would appreciate more if they would watch the channel “more critically.”
Kent made the laughable comments during an interview published in this week’s edition of Broadcasting and Cable magazine, when he admitted that the “biggest misconception about CNN is that it’s a liberal news network,” which “drives me crazy” because “it’s not.”
During the cover story by Andrea Morabito, the magazine’s programming editor, Kent said new CNN president Jeff Zucker agreed that changes to boost the audience of the low-rated channel will not be “done overnight, not short-term. He and I both know this is a marathon, not a sprint.”

Rasmussen: 69% of Likely U.S. Voters say Barack Obama is Liberal...

The 23% that think Obama is a moderate are Socialists or communists...

Via Rasmussen:
Sixty-nine percent (69%) of Likely U.S. Voters say Barack Obama is at least somewhat liberal, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.  That figure includes 43% who see the president as Very Liberal.
Twenty-three percent (23%) feel Obama is politically moderate, while only three percent (3%) believe he is conservative.

Unbelievable: Piers Morgan claim he is not part of the liberal media...

Via Red Alert Politics:
English import and gun control advocate Piers Morgan claimed during his television show Sunday night that he is in fact not part of the liberal media.
During a discussion with political commentator and author Margaret Hoover about NRA President Wayne LaPierre’s CPAC speech, Morgan claimed to not belong on either side of the political aisle. LaPierre speech touched on protecting Second Amendment rights for women to own and carry guns.
“I agree [LaPierre's] rhetoric is inflammatory, and sure, he’s talking to you, the liberal media,” Hoover said on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.”
Morgan rejected the label, stating, “I’m not saying I’m the liberal media. I don’t park myself in liberal or right-wing at all. I can’t even vote for a horse in the race.”
He clearly doesn’t understand that having a political point of view has nothing to do with voting.

It's Come To This: Maryland Bill Would Ban Schools From Punishing Kids For Forming Guns With Fingers, Food...

After a 7-year-old boy was suspended for chewing a pop-tart into the shape of a gun, one Maryland State senator is fighting back.
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Zero tolerance for zero tolerance. That’s how one lawmaker feels about young children being suspended from school for forming their finger or food in the shape of a gun.
State Senator J.B. Jennings says he does not intend for this bill to be a part of the growing gun debate in Maryland, but he does say he wants it to bring some common sense discipline to state schools.[...]

State Senator J.B. Jennings says zero tolerance rules on school campuses are going too far, so he wrote a bill. It bans school leaders from suspending students who make the shape of a gun with their fingers or food, or students who draw a gun on a piece of paper.

“If it’s done in a violent manner, then yes, we can take it to the next level. We can look at suspension,” said Jennings.[...]

If the bill passes and a student is caught forming their food or fingers in the shape of a gun, they would be sent to a counselor’s office first–not suspension.

Jennings says the  bill is heading to the Education Committee. If it passes, it goes to the full Senate for a vote. Keep on reading...

Dan Rather still doesn't think the mainstream media is liberal...

The man who brought us the 'fake, but accurate' TANG documents can't see any liberal media bias.

Via Daily Caller:
[H]e also dismissed claims from conservative journalists who left those mainstream newsrooms and alleged liberal bias, saying it was just because they were disagreed with from time to time.
“But, it has not been my experience,” he continued. “I know what — it’s widely believed that CBS, NBC, ABC — chocked full of liberals. Not true. What it is chock full of is people who wanted to give honest news, straightforward news and voted both ways in many elections. I’m not saying that nobody in the newsroom was liberal any more than I would say nobody was conservative. Frequently what has happened is people who described as conservatives want to say, ‘I work at CBS News, and almost everybody there was liberal.’ What they really mean is not everybody there agreed with him all the time. This is a sham. It’s a camouflage.”

Today's Blood Boiler: $400 Purse Holding $800 Cash, Plus Food Stamp Cards Goes Missing

Don't get me started...

Via John Hayward at Human Events:
A traveling friend sent me an item clipped from a Georgia newspaper that reads, in its entirety:

A woman said she noticed her purse missing from her car just before 5 P.M. Sunday. The car was parked at her residence on Hornet Drive. The woman said the car had been locked, and the purse was in the back seat.

The purse was valued at $400, her wallet was valued at $200, and she said there was $800 cash in the purse, according to the police report. Also missing were the woman’s food stamp cards.

(Emphasis mine.) The sad part is that the food stamp cards were probably worth more than the purse, wallet, and cash.

It bears repeating, as both a critique and a warning of things to come, that the great project of the American Left involves teaching the middle class to think of itself as “poor.” That way, they’ll vote themselves into servitude. The impoverished mind has no use for talk of economic liberty. It values “hope,” which is passive and servile, over “opportunity.”

New Poll: A 51% majority say Obama is too liberal

50% rate Obama's presidency as a failure.

Via USA Today:
Americans are more likely to say his presidency has been a failure than a success, 50%-44%. His favorable rating is 50%, higher than the GOP presidential contenders but lower than every nominee in the past five presidential contests at this point except Republican Bob Dole, who lost in 1996.
A 51% majority say Obama is too liberal, and Americans are inclined to say they disagree with him on the issues that matter most to them. On the positive side, 58% say he has the personality and leadership qualities a president should have.

Rasmussen: 55% Say Obama More Liberal Than They Are

Only 55%? I am shocked.

Rasmussen:
Most voters still believe President Obama is to the left of them ideologically.  A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 27% of Likely U.S. Voters feel that the president has about the same ideological views as they do. Fifty-five percent (55%) say Obama is more liberal than they are, while 11% believe he’s more conservative.

Obvious: NYT columnist David Brooks on Obama, "he’s certainly more liberal than I thought he was,”

It took David Brooks three years to come to this conclusion?
(Politico) — Center-right New York Times columnist David Brooks opined a few months ago that President Obama, whom he once supported, was governing like a liberal.
Today, Brooks doubled down, telling Laura Ingraham this morning that Obama is not only governing that way, he is that way — or at least more that way than Brooks once thought.
“I still like him and admire him personally, but he’s certainly more liberal than I thought he was,” Brooks said.
“He’s more liberal than he thinks he is. He thinks he’s just slightly center-left, but when you get down to his instincts, they’re pretty left. And his problem is that he can’t really act on them, because it would be political disaster. And so that means, I think right now he’s doing very little, proposing very little.”

President Obama has coffee at White House with his re-election team

President Obama invited all the liberal stars of the mainstream media over to the White House for coffee. Undoubtedly, he wanted to than them for their hard work on his re-election campaign.
(ABC News) — An all-star list of progressive and liberal media folks came to the White House today to chat with President Obama over coffee in the Roosevelt Room.
The group chatted with the president about economic messaging, his agenda for 2012, the various campaign arguments against different GOP candidates, the desire among some Democrats for him to highlight his foreign policy accomplishments, fighting corporate influence and the “crappiness” of the Senate filibuster, as one attendee put it.
Those there included the Washington Post‘s Ezra Klein and Greg Sargent, MSNBC anchors Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, and Chris Hayes, the Nation’s editor and publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel, the New York Times’ Frank Bruni, and stars of the interwebs Arianna Huffington, Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo, Faiz Shakir of ThinkProgress and Joy Reid of The Reid Report.

Video: Obama denies he is a big "Tax and Spend" liberal

Should Obama get the "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire" award for this one?

“I know you hear a lot of folks on cable TV claiming that I am this ‘big tax and spend liberal.’ Next time you hear that, you just remind the people who are saying it that since I’ve taken office, I’ve cut your taxes. Your taxes — your taxes today, the average middle class family, your taxes today are lower than when I took office. Just remember that. We have cut taxes for small businesses, not once, not twice, but 17 times. The average family’s tax burden is among the lowest it’s been in the last 60 years. So the problem is not that we’ve been raising taxes. We’ve been trying to give families a break during these tough times,” Obama said at a campaign event in Scranton, Penn.
In the video, President Obama touts the alleged 17 small business tax cuts he claims to have signed.  The list can be found on this White House blog. Ironically, after forcing businesses to buy health insurance for employees or pay a penalty in 2014 as part of Obamacare, President Obama included, in the list of 17 small business tax credits, the Obamacare tax credit some small businesses can get to partially offset the cost of providing employee healthcare. The credit phases out in the future. The requirement to provide employee healthcare continues.Even the liberal Washington Post recognizes President Obama tells whoppers about tax cuts.
