The people trying to interfere with the 2016 U.S. election have been unmasked and they aren't Russian...

President Trump is now tweeting that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower right before the election.

This story is now breaking, but it appears that the Obama administration asked the secret FISA court for approval to wiretap Trump Tower back in the spring or early summer, but they were denied. They went back in October and the court gave them approval. If anything really significant had been found, you can bet there would have been a leak right before the election that would have driven a stake through the heart of the Trump campaign. Since there was no leak, we can guess nothing illegal was found. We can add the NSA to the alphabet agencies former President Obama weaponized against his political enemies. Of course, just because nothing illegal was found that doesn't mean nothing politically useful was found, but the question would be how to use it. Obama signed a last minute EO allowing the NSA to share more information with other intelligence agencies such as the FBI.
WASHINGTON — In its final days, the Obama administration has expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government’s 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.
The new rules significantly relax longstanding limits on what the N.S.A. may do with the information gathered by its most powerful surveillance operations, which are largely unregulated by American wiretapping laws. These include collecting satellite transmissions, phone calls and emails that cross network switches abroad, and messages between people abroad that cross domestic network switches.
The change means that far more officials will be searching through raw data. Essentially, the government is reducing the risk that the N.S.A. will fail to recognize that a piece of information would be valuable to another agency, but increasing the risk that officials will see private information about innocent people.
What kind of data was made available?
By contrast, the 12333 sharing procedures allow analysts, including those at the F.B.I., to search the raw data using an American’s identifying information only for the purpose of foreign intelligence or counterintelligence investigations, not for ordinary criminal cases. And they may do so only if one of several other conditions are met, such as a finding that the American is an agent of a foreign power.
However, under the rules, if analysts stumble across evidence that an American has committed any crime, they will send it to the Justice Department.
The limits on using Americans’ information gathered under Order 12333 do not apply to metadata: logs showing who contacted whom, but not what they said. Analysts at the intelligence agencies may study social links between people, in search of hidden associates of known suspects, “without regard to the location or nationality of the communicants.
Did Obama gave his plants in several federal agencies access to metadata of who called who from Trump Tower? If so, this would explains the recent leaks most which have been initially published by the Washington Post.
U.S. intelligence reports during the 2016 presidential campaign showed that Kislyak was in touch with Flynn, officials said. Communications between the two continued after Trump’s victory on Nov. 8, according to officials with access to intelligence reports on the matter.
Trump is right. This is brings back memories of Watergate.

Fail: President Obama's "Three Proud Words" Are Actually Four Words

"Made in the USA"

Obama cracks another birther joke

Remember when Mitt Romney did this and it was somehow wrong?

Via The Hill:
President Obama poked fun at conspiracy theories which question whether he was born in the United States during a campaign stop in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday.
The president made a stop at a local sports bar, Gator Dockside, where he made the rounds, speaking to patrons, according to a White House pool report.
At one table, Obama was told by an adult that a young boy at the table was “born in Hawaii.”
“You were born in Hawaii? You have a birth certificate?” the president asked, as the table broke into laughter.
Pool reports said the young boy, Andre Wupperman, will turn 7 next week. He lives with his family in Orlando.

Will Obama's DNC nomination convention be struck by hurricane Bill Clinton?

Will hurricane Bill Clinton blow into Charlotte and rain on Obama's coronation as party nominee for 2012?
Clinton’s got a prime-time speaking slot on Wednesday night, but Charlotte will be full of chances for him to freelance on camera or speak just a bit too candidly about Obama. Republicans will be ready to pounce on Clinton if he credits himself instead of Obama for positives, or expresses doubts about an Obama proposal. And then there’s the possibility Clinton could suggest support for a Republican plan, like he seemed to in June regarding the competing proposals over extending the Bush tax cuts.
Interestingly, Bill Clinton won't let Obama know  in advance what the content of his speech is.
The Obama campaign has insisted on seeing the speech before Clinton delivers it, and Clinton has just as insistently refused to show it to them. As a result, no one — not even the president — knows what Clinton intends to say. This has led some Democratic insiders to speculate that Clinton will make not-so-flattering remarks about the last four years of Democratic rule in the White House.
“If I were the president,” one of these insiders told me, “I’d wake up at night in a cold sweat wondering what surprises Clinton is going to come up with.”

President Obama: GOP agenda like watching "black-and-white TV."

Does Obama have to frame everything in subtle racial terms?

Via The Hill:
President Obama blasted Republicans Saturday for an agenda he said was so "last century" that it was like watching "black-and-white TV."

Obama addressed a campaign audience in Iowa as Democrats prepare to begin their convention next week.

The president said that Republican nominee Mitt Romney offered voters a "rerun" agenda with few details at the GOP convention, which ended on Thursday.

Only 26% Of Officers Think Army Headed in Right Direction

The main problem cited is too much political correctness...
(CNSNews.com) – Is the U.S. Army headed in the right direction?

An internal Army survey that was conducted in 2011 and published this year discovered that only 26 percent of active-duty Army officers say yes–and that one of the two main themes cited by those who say no is that the Army is now adversely impacted by “political correctness” imposed by both outside policymakers and senior Army leaders.

The 26 percent who said the Army was headed in the right direction in 2011 was the lowest percentage who gave that response since the Army began conducting this survey in 2005. It was also significant drop from the 33 percent who had said the Army was heading in the right direction in 2010.

Unlikely: President Obama claims Republicans often agree with him...

Is President Obama deliberately not telling the truth or is he really that naive?

Via Daily Caller:
President Barack Obama said Republican voters “often agree with me,” insisting that his “approach” at governing has been “consistent” from the start of his term.
Obama added that he has proposed policies which “used to be embraced” by the Republican Party.
Obama was asked, “So how are you going to talk to Republicans differently if you are reelected?”
“Republican voters, if you ask them about my particular policy positions, often agree with me. So there’s a difference between Republicans in Washington and Republican and Republican-leaning voters around the country,” Obama said in a Parade Magazine reader question-and-answer session published on Friday.

Obvious: Obama wants to cut off GOP money

Citizens United ended the limits on corporation, and union, privately spending money on political campaigns. This had little effect on union because they were already spending all the money they wanted to on campaign under the guise of union activity. Unions may have spent as much as $300 million getting Obama elected in 2008. Since Citizens United, Republican supporting Super-PACS are out fundraising unions.

From The DC:
President Barack  Obama used the online springboard provided by Reddit to dive into the media  crush at the GOP convention, with a skillfully executed call for a  constitutional amendment to curb the free-speech of wealthier people and  corporations.
“I think we need to seriously consider mobilizing a constitutional amendment  process to overturn Citizens United. … Even if the amendment process falls  short, it can shine a spotlight of the super PAC phenomenon and help apply  pressure for change,” Obama said during 4:30 p.m. EST online event.

President Barack Obama: That Mitt Romney has "extreme positions"

Anyone who was elected Governor of ultra liberal Massachusetts in 2002 can't be label as "extreme" to any sentient being. Anyone who is planning to vote for Obama in 2012 should ignore the propaganda and consider what are the most important issues facing the country in the next decade. Is it (a)the deficit, exploding growth of entitlements, unbridled illegal immigration taking jobs and stretching social programs, the disintegration of the nuclear family and high structural unemployment or is it (b)access to abortion, gay marriage, inadequate social welfare program spending and too little government regulation. If you believe the (a) you should vote for Mitt Romney. If you answered (b) you are an Obama voter.

Via CNBC:
President Barack Obama said Mitt Romney has locked himself into "extreme positions" on economic and social issues and would surely impose them if elected, trying to discredit his Republican rival at the biggest political moment of his life.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Obama said Romney lacks serious ideas, refuses to "own up" to the responsibilities of what it takes to be president, and deals in factually dishonest arguments that could soon haunt him in face-to-face debates.

Video: Allen West Says Barack Obama Is Serving America a Crap Sandwich With a Smile on His Face

That Rep. Allen West sure is a plain talker...

“But let’s be very honest and let’s put it in military vernacular. If you’re feeding a person a crap sandwich with a smile, it’s still a crap sandwich. That’s what you see coming from President Obama. He’s fed America just a load of you-know-what and it’s not done anything for this country than increasing our unemployment, increasing Americans in poverty, increasing the food stamp rolls and we’re heading in the wrong direction.”

Rep. Allen West tells Obama: “Show us your sealed college records ... and we will all show you our tax returns,”

Game on...

Via The Hill:
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) set high stakes in an offered “deal” with President Obama on Friday.
Obama’s campaign isn’t backing down on requests to see Mitt Romney’s tax returns — on Friday, campaign manager Jim Messina offered to stop asking if he releases five years’ worth — but the freshman Florida congressman had a counteroffer for Obama.
“Show us your sealed college records and Operation Fast and Furious White House memos, and we will all show you our tax returns,” West wrote on his Facebook page Friday.

Denial: Obama Claims "I Don't Think Anyone Would Suggest I've Tried To Divide The Country"

Transcript via RCP:
"We're going around the country, talking about, ‘How do we put people back to work? How do we improve our schools? How do we make sure that we're producing American energy? How do we lower our debt in a responsible way?' And I don't think you or anybody who's been watching the campaign would say that in any way we have tried to divide the country. We've always tried to bring the country together,"
