Climate Scientist: “There’s really no such thing as natural weather anymore,”

There you go. Here is an admission straight from the horses mouth that all bad weather will now be blamed on global warming climate change. We suspect that was becoming true. It is nice to have it confirmed.
(USA Today) — Heat waves, droughts, blizzards and the the rest of the year’s U.S. record-breaking extreme weather, likely enjoyed a boost from global warming, suggests a climate report.
Hurricane Irene this year pushed the U.S. yearly record for billion-dollar natural disasters to 10, smashing the 2008 record of nine. In the “Current Extreme Weather and Climate Change” report, released today by the Climate Communication scientific group, leading climate scientists outlined how increasing global atmospheric temperatures and other climate change effects — triggered by industrial emissions of greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide and methane — are loading the dice for the sort of extreme weather seen this year.
“Greenhouse gases are the steroids of weather,” says climate projection expert Jerry Meehl of the National Center for Atmospheric Research, at a briefing held by the report’s expert reviewers. “Small increases in temperature set the stage for record breaking extreme temperature events.”
“There’s really no such thing as natural weather anymore,” says climate scientist Donald Wuebbles of the University of Illinois, who was not involved with the report, but said he largely agreed with its conclusions. “Anything that takes place today in the weather system has been affected by the changes we’ve made to the climate system. That’s just the background situation and it’s good for people to know that,” Wuebbles says. Although scientists cannot immediately tie what percentage of an extreme weather event relies on global warming to make it more severe, he says. “It’s always a factor in today’s world.”

About The Claim Anthropogenic Global Warming is Causing Weather Extremes

The Wrath of God, Disasters in America - The Hurricanes: Deadly Wind, Deadly Rain (History Channel)

It is as fraudulent as the other claims made by anthropogenic global warming (AGW) believers. New analysis by a group hoping to prove the AGW crowds cockamamie ideas has come up empty.
(WSJ)- The Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project is the latest attempt to find out, using super-computers to generate a dataset of global atmospheric circulation from 1871 to the present.

As it happens, the project's initial findings, published last month, show no evidence of an intensifying weather trend. "In the climate models, the extremes get more extreme as we move into a doubled CO2 world in 100 years," atmospheric scientist Gilbert Compo, one of the researchers on the project, tells me from his office at the University of Colorado, Boulder. "So we were surprised that none of the three major indices of climate variability that we used show a trend of increased circulation going back to 1871."

In other words, researchers have yet to find evidence of more-extreme weather patterns over the period, contrary to what the models predict.

The Al Gore Curse: Cancun Experiences record Lows During COP16

Global warming true believers can't catch a break. Last year at COP 15 in Copenhagen, they had a blizzard. Now, the this year's COP16 has brought record lows to Cancun.
Today’s my first full day in Cancun at COP-16, and as I emerged from my hotel room I was greeted by a brisk, dry, cool Canadian breeze.

It was 54 deg. F in Cancun this morning — a record low for the date. (BTW, Cancun is nowhere near Canada).

Al Gore is not supposed to be here…but it could be that the Gore Effect has announced his secret arrival. We will check into this.

It's Safe for Liberals to Discuss the Weather Again

Liberals in the mainstream media love to use hot weather as anecdotal evidence proof of man-made global warming. In the middle of a scorching heat wave in 2006, CBS proclaimed the global warming argument was over. In 2007, Newsweek blamed the deadly European heat wave of 2003 squarely on man-made global warming. During the abnormally cold weather and record blizzards of last winter, the media either remained silent or tried to blame the extreme cold and snow on global warming. Now, summer has returned and 90+ degree heat is gripping a large section of the U.S. It is safe for liberals and the Anthropogenic Global Warming crowd to discuss the weather again.

Or is it?
