EPA planning to spend $1,633,320 on hotel rooms for “Environmental Justice” conference

The benefit to the taxpayers of this conference is??? If the Republicans in Congress had any spine, they would cut EPA, the IRS and other agencies conference monies completely from the budget. They are mostly just big parties and  taxpayer funded vacations anyway.
Via WFB:
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will spend more than $1 million on hotel accommodations for an “Environmental Justice” conference this fall.
The agency posted its intention to contract with the Renaissance Arlington Local Capital View Hotel for its upcoming public meeting, for which it will need to book 195 rooms for 24 days.
“The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), Office of Enforcement and Compliance, Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) intends to award a fixed-price Purchase Order … to the Renaissance Arlington Local Capital View Hotel,” the solicitation said. “The purpose of this acquisition is to cover the cost of 195 sleeping room nights from Sept. 9 [to] Oct 2, 2014, at government rate for the 50th public meeting of the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC), a federal advisory committee of the EPA.”
Rooms at the Renaissance Arlington run for roughly $349 a night. At 24 nights, the cost of 195 rooms will reach $1,633,320, or $8,376 per room.

Draft agenda for the Rio+20 climate change conference calls for economic “contraction” in major countries.

President Obama is already implementing this agenda in America...

Via Washington Examiner:
United Nations officials refuse to allow observers to read the draft agenda for the Rio+20 conference on climate change, after an earlier draft called for the economic “contraction” in major countries.
“It seems the UN has taken the final pre-conference draft and classified it!” Lord Monckton, a climate skeptic with the Center for a Constructive Tomorrow reported in an email. “We were promised transparency. This is unacceptable.”
A proposal within an earlier draft agenda for the conference called for the “contraction and convergence for over- and under-consumers of natural resources,” CFACT noted. Given President Obama’s oft-repeated statistic that the United States produces 2 percent of the world’s oil but uses 20 percent, this proposal would affect the American economy significantly.
“We aspire to nothing less than a global movement for generational change,” UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon said earlier this year.

The Al Gore Curse: Cancun Experiences record Lows During COP16

Global warming true believers can't catch a break. Last year at COP 15 in Copenhagen, they had a blizzard. Now, the this year's COP16 has brought record lows to Cancun.
Today’s my first full day in Cancun at COP-16, and as I emerged from my hotel room I was greeted by a brisk, dry, cool Canadian breeze.

It was 54 deg. F in Cancun this morning — a record low for the date. (BTW, Cancun is nowhere near Canada).

Al Gore is not supposed to be here…but it could be that the Gore Effect has announced his secret arrival. We will check into this.

Global Warming Alarmists Party Down in Cancun (video)

Freezing weather is claiming lives across Europe, but the bureaucrats attending the United Nations Climate Change Conference were able to put that behind them. They called for rationing in the developed world and threw a lavish party.
