White House actually debated whether to lie to American people about keeping their health plan...

You know how that debate ended...

National Review reported:

President Obama’s aides debated his now infamous “if you like your insurance plan you can keep it” line, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. Advisers discussed whether it was a promise that could be kept and even considered having the president add some nuance in media interviews. But they decided that the president should be sweeping and emphatic, or, as one former official put it, talk “in broad, intelligible points that cut through.” But aides were divided:

One former senior administration official said that as the law was being crafted by the White House and lawmakers, some White House policy advisers objected to the breadth of Mr. Obama’s “keep your plan” promise. They were overruled by political aides, the former official said. The White House said it was unaware of the objections.

Some aides believed that the (inadequate) grandfather clause was enough to make Obama’s assurance true enough, but the White House clearly didn’t want to confuse people with the full story of the disruptions that would occur under the law. “Simplification and ease of explanation were a premium, and that was true throughout the process,” former speechwriter Jon Favreau told the paper.

Two New Obamacare Lies

Lie #1: The penalty for not buying insurance is $95 in the first year. You have undoubtedly heard this number on all the major news channels. The truth is it's $95 or 1% of your income. If you make $40k a year, it's $400.

Lie #2: You don't have to buy insurance until March 31, 2014. The open enrollment period lasts that long, but in order to avoid the penalty, you will need to buy insurance by around February 15, 2014.The law says you have to have insurance before the end of March. Insurance policies start on the 1st of the month and you will need some processing time.

Of course these are just a couple of the new lies. We are still dealing with the old lies about 'keeping your plan if you like your plan' and 'health insurance costs going down $2500. '

Unlikely: Obama tell California donors, “We believe in the free market [and] a light touch when it comes to regulations.”

Only in California would Democrats be dumb enough to believe this lie. 

Making a pitch for Democratic candidates in 2014, President Obama told big donors in California Thursday night that Democrats favor free-market solutions and less government regulation.

“It turns out we’re pretty common-sense folks,” Mr. Obama said at a fundraiser at a private home in Palo Alto, Calif. “We believe in the free market [and] a light touch when it comes to regulations.”

These people were lied to about their costs going down. One of the reasons their costs are going up is they can't keep their current high deductible plan. That makes a second lie they were told.

Some people purchasing new insurance policies for themselves this fall could see premiums rise because of requirements in the health-care law, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told reporters Tuesday.

Ms. Sebelius’s remarks come weeks before insurers are expected to begin releasing rates for plans that start on Jan. 1, 2014, when key provisions of the health law kick in.

Premiums have been a sensitive subject for the Obama administration, which is counting on elements in the health law designed to increase competition among insurers to keep rates in check. The administration has pointed to subsidies that will be available for many lower-income Americans to help them with the cost of coverage.

The secretary’s remarks are among the first direct statements from federal officials that people who have skimpy health plans right now could face higher premiums for plans that are more generous. She noted that the law requires plans to provide better benefits and treat all customers equally regardless of their medical claims.

“These folks will be moving into a really fully insured product for the first time, and so there may be a higher cost associated with getting into that market,” she said. “But we feel pretty strongly that with subsidies available to a lot of that population that they are really going to see much better benefit for the money that they’re spending.”...

(CNSNews.com) – A memo published by White House Senior Adviser David Plouffe advises allies to mislead when they discuss the recent Supreme Court decision on the individual mandate, saying they should call it a penalty when it is in fact a tax.

“In light of yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling to uphold the Affordable Care Act, Republicans in Washington are trying to deliberately misrepresent the President’s record of cutting taxes for the middle class,” Plouffe wrote in his memo Friday.[...]

“For those that can afford health insurance but stay uninsured—forcing the rest of us to subsidize their care for free—a penalty is administered,” the memo reads.

The lies the Obama campaign tells

Barack Obama's website is accusing Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich of wanting to cut foreign aid to Israel to zero. They must have them confused with Ron Paul. What the three GOP candidates said in debates was foreign aid shouldn't automatically start at the same amount it was last year. They said should start from zero and justification made for every tax payer dollar.

Obama lies about Chrysler repaying bailout money

At a Chrysler plant in Ohio, President Obama claimed Chrysler repaid every dime of their bailout money. That is false. A $4 billion bridge loan and $3.2 billion in bankruptcy financing have not and never will be repaid. Only the money loaned Chrysler after the bankruptcy has been repaid. The US did get some shares of the new company and President Obama is touting their sale. The U.S. Government is selling their share of Chrysler to Fiat for #3.5 billion. Coincidentally, they are at the same time giving Chrysler a $3.5 billion loan fuel-efficient vehicle loan. Go figure.

This is unbelievable. Rep. Wasserman Shultz (D-Fla.) claims there is no requirement to buy health insurance in the Democrat's health care reform bill. She claims people who fail to carry insurance will just be categorized differently by the IRS like married vs. single people. The crowd boos and one woman starts laughing.

Democratic Representative Bart Stupak (D.-Mich.) told CNSNews that he asked President Obama about his claim abortion would not be covered under the health care reform bill. Obama told Rep. Stupak, "What it says is Under my Plan." Of course, President Obama doesn't actually have a plan. At the time he made the speech claiming abortion wasn't covered, the only plan was H.R. 3200. President Obama was playing word games or as Joe Wilson put it when Obama said illegals would not be covered, "You Lie!"
