You can't make stuff this stupid up. There is video from the debate.
CONWAY: “Gosh let me count the ways
that we’ve made the state a better place for women. Let me say first of
all that issue is one for the general assembly. Okay that really didn’t
have anything to do with the office of the Attorney General. Now the
Kentucky State Police certainly looked into it. They did an
investigation with a former LRC director. There was a settlement. But I
can tell you this. When I became Attorney General I think half of my
directors were women. My first chief-deputy was a woman. I’m married to a
strong professional woman in Elizabeth Davenport Conway. I’ve got two
little girls, I’ve even got a female dog, they’ve got me surrounded.”

Interesting: Howard Dean considering running for President again...
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Via TPM:
Via TPM:
Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean (D), famous for his Iowa "scream speech" in the 2004 presidential primary race, said Thursday that he'd consider running for the chief executive's office again.
"I am not driven by my own ambition," Dean told CNN in an interview at the left-leaning activist Netroots Nation conference. "What I am driven by is pushing the country in a direction that it desperately needs to be pushed; pushing other politicians who aren't quite as frank as I am who need to be more candid with the American people about what needs to happen.

Interesting: Illinois Republicans have a hot 2014 gubernatorial candidate...
Erika Harold is half
African-American/Native American, has a degree from Harvard Law School,
and was Miss America.
Via The Weekly Standard:
Via The Weekly Standard:
In the short-term it’s difficult to see how the Republicans in Illinois can break the Democratic stranglehold. But they may have a political star in the wings by the name of Erika Harold. Harold’s resume is almost too good to be believed: born and raised in downstate Champaign, she is half African-American/Native American, has a degree from Harvard Law School, and was Miss America. Lest anyone doubt her conservative bona fides, her platform as Miss America was teen abstinence. She’s been practicing law in Chicago and doing all the little things expected of someone who aspires to a political career. That career almost began last year: in March 2012, shortly after winning his uncontested primary, Congressman Tim Johnson announced he would retire from Congress at the end of the term. The post-primary retirement is a common maneuver by Illinois congressmen hoping to put their political (or actual) scions in their seat without the messiness of a primary. Johnson’s former chief of staff announced shortly thereafter (his website was actually up before the announcement) that he would stand for the nomination, which post-primary is chosen by the chairs of the various Republican County Committees. As Johnson’s district director for most of his decade in office he knew these people well—and they weren’t fans. Shortly after his announcement downstate Congressman John Shimkus’s district director, Rodney Davis, who also happens to be from the district, announced his candidacy, and the other downstate congressmen quickly coalesced behind him. Then Harold announced that she would contest the seat. She made a few appearances and was beyond impressive, and people began to pay notice to her... Keep on reading...

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) Declares Write-in Campaign and calls Joe Miller's Views "Extremist"

Dems Call for Firing One of Their Own After Being Busted for Fake Tea Party Candidate

At first, the left tried to infiltrate the Tea Party with fake extremists, Now, many candidates nationwide are running under the Tea Party name, even though they have no known connection with the Tea Party. Tea Party members have accused Democrats of being behind these shenanigans in order to split the conservative vote this November. In Oakland County in southeast Michigan, Democrats have been busted and an employee is being thrown under the bus.
Democrats on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners Saturday called for the removal of a county Democratic Party employee in the wake of allegations of fraud by Oakland County Clerk Ruth Johnson a day earlier.
Commissioner Dave Coulter, D-Ferndale, said in an e-mail Saturday that Democratic commissioners approved the following statement:
“Democrats on the Board of Commissioners are very concerned about allegations that an employee of the county party may have had a role in fraudulent Tea Party candidate filings....
...Without commenting on the legal merits of these accusations, we ask for the immediate removal of Jason Bauer as an employee of the Oakland County Democratic Party. Read more here.
Irony: Man Robs Congressional Candidate.

Congress has been robbing Americans for generations. Now, a man has turned the tables and robbed a Congressional candidate in Miami.
Bastien, 51, was sitting in her car with her sister, Tahira, outside the House of the Living God, 13700 NE 10th Ave., about 12:20 p.m. when a silver car -- possibly a Toyota -- pulled up behind them, according to North Miami Police.
A man in a white sleeveless shirt stepped out of the passenger's seat and walked toward the driver's side of Bastien's car. He pulled out a black, semiautomatic handgun and... Read more here.

Classy: BET founder mimics Va. gov candidate's speech
BET co-founder and major Obama supporter, Sheila Johnson, resorted to mimicking a candidate's speech impediment at a campaign event. Strangely, she is supporting the Republican candidate in the Virginia governors race. Perhaps, she is worried about the socialist direction Obama and the Democrats are taking America. Sheila Johnson is America's first black female billionaire.

RICHMOND, Va. — The billionaire co-founder of Black Entertainment Television apologized Monday for pretending to stutter at a campaign event as she mimicked the Democratic candidate for governor.
BET co-founder Sheila Johnson, for years a major donor to President Barack Obama, Gov. Timothy M. Kaine and other Democrats, stunned Virginia political observers in July by endorsing Republican Bob McDonnell in the governor's race.
He is running against Democrat Creigh Deeds to replace Kaine, who is barred by state law from running for a second straight term.

Creigh Deeds: Democratic nominee for governor in Virginia has a tax meltdown (video)
Virginia gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds is one of those Democrats who is planning to raise taxes without admitting he is raising taxes. Deeds really gets his foot stuck in his mouth here. Enjoy.
From Hot Air:
From Hot Air:
Creigh Deeds came out of nowhere to win the Democratic nomination for governor in Virginia — and he’s heading back to nowhere if he continues to give answers like this. Deeds starts off by saying, “I have no plans to raise taxes,” but then says the opposite when it comes to raising money for transportation. When reporters try to square that statement with his claim in the debate that he would not raise taxes, Deeds then says that pledge only applied to general fund taxes, which led to the next question as to whether Deeds realized that gas taxes go into the general fund and are not earmarked for transportation. That’s when Deeds snaps at the reporter, referring to her as “young lady” when scolding her — and realizes his mistake a moment too late:
