Lexington Democratic Mayor Jim Gray denies he is a KKK member...

Hmm...

Via USA Today:
The mayor of Lexington, Ky., says he's not a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Anonymous postings saying otherwise are "false, insulting and ridiculous," Jim Gray said in a statement on Monday.
Gray, the city's Democratic mayor, was responding to the release of names of purported KKK members by someone claiming to be with the hacktivist group Anonymous.
"I have never had any relationship of any kind with the KKK. I am opposed to everything it stands for. I have no idea where this information came from, but wherever it came from, it is wrong," Gray said.

Speaker celebrates 50 years since MLK "I have a dream" speech by comparing conservative SCOTUS Justices to KKK...

"Today there are no white sheets, but there are judges in black robes in the U.S. Supreme Court striking down Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act, opening the floodgates in many states to pass more voter ID laws... with the goal of ensuring we never see a black man elected to the president, or woman, of the United states of America."

History: Remembering when Republicans organized militias to fight the KKK...

                                                                  Burning-cross2.jpg

But..but...we were told all white Republicans were racists...

Via History.com:
[...]Most prominent in counties where the races were relatively balanced, the KKK engaged in terrorist raids against African-Americans and white Republicans at night, employing intimidation, destruction of property, assault, and murder to achieve its aims and influence upcoming elections. In a few Southern states, Republicans organized militia units to break up the Klan. In 1871, passage of the Ku Klux Act led to nine South Carolina counties being placed under martial law and thousands of arrests. In 1882, the U.S. Supreme Court declared the Ku Klux Act unconstitutional, but by that time Reconstruction had ended, and the KKK had faded away.[...]

MSNBC plays the KKK card on Romney

Via RCP:
MSNBC daytime anchor Thomas Roberts says Mitt Romney’s “Keep America American” slogan plays homage to the Ku Klux Klan. The patriotic slogan, which is used in this ad, was apparently used by the KKK in the early 1900s.
Somehow the folks at MSNBC believe Mitt Romney is acknowledging his Klan roots by using the slogan in his 2012 campaign for the presidency.
Here is the Romney ad MSNBC tried to spin into as paying homage to the  KKK .

Video: Bill Clinton Defends Robert Byrd's KKK Association

I have to give Bill Clinton credit for having the cahones to actually mention Robert Byrd's KKK association during the eulogy. Of course, he is just making excuses.

From Freedom's Lighthouse:
During a eulogy delivered today for the late Sen. Robert Byrd, former President Bill Clinton defended Byrd before a West Virginia crowd when he said that Byrd had a “fleeting association” with the Ku Klux Klan in his early life because he was “trying to get elected.” Clinton said Byrd then spent the rest of his life trying to make up for it, which, he said, “that’s what good people do.” Clinton, who is no stranger to an embarrassing past, also said “there are no perfect people” in this world, and certainly “no perfect politicians.”

I don't know how "fleeting" Robert Byrd's association with the KKK was or if his motivation was truly to "get elected." The Examiner has an excerpt from a letter Byrd allegedly wrote in 1944 to Mississippi Senator Theodore Bilbo. Read it and make up your own mind.
"I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds." - Robert Byrd in letter to Mississippi Senator Theodore Bilbo in 1944.

Moonbat Liberal Activist Compares Border Patrol to KKK

Moonbat Detroit liberal activist Elena Herrada compared the Border Patrol to the KKK at a US Social Forum event in Detroit. At the end of this outrageous and offensive rant, she actually got applause...

What is the US Social Forum? It is a moonbat groups of community organizers that Barack Obama would undoubtedly love. They claim they are uniting the struggles of oppressed communities and peoples within the United States (particularly Black, Latino, Asian/ Pacific-Islander and Indigenous communities) to the struggles of oppressed nations in the Third World. Their slogan is:
“another world is possible, another U.S. is necessary”

Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, and Danny Glover are among the lefty lunatics spotted there.
