Harry Reid Gets Sexist

Senate Majority Leader must be feeling the strain of the tough battle to save his Senate seat and position as Senate Majority leader. As few days ago, Reid called Delaware Democrat Senate nominee Chris Coons "my pet." Yesterday, Harry Reid refereed to Democrat New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand as “the hottest member.” Can you imagine the feminist outrage if a Republican leader had made that comment?

The Politico reported:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had an unusual form of praise for New York’s junior senator, Kirsten Gillibrand, this morning at the fundraiser Mayor Bloomberg hosted for him at his townhouse – referring to her as “the hottest member” as she sat just a few feet away, according to three sources.

The comment prompted Gillibrand to turn red, according to the sources, and created a bit of stir among the small crowd there.

For reference, back in 2009, former Republican House majority leader Dick Armey was accused of sexism and severely criticized for telling a Salon editor,
I’m so damn glad that you can never be my wife because I surely wouldn’t have to listen to that prattle from you every day.

Earlier this year, there were accusations of sexism and calls for the resignation of former GOP Senator and Debt Commission co-chair Alan Simpson for making this comment about Social Security in an email.
We've reached a point now where it's like a milk cow with 310 million tits! Call when you get honest work!

Harry Reid's comment will be swept under the rug by the liberal mainstream media. There is clearly a double standard in play.
