An Small Survey of the OWS Protesters

David Maris, a writer and well-known health care equity research analyst, conducted a poll of 50 Occupy Wall Street protesters. A few of the highlights:

  • 80% of those polled said that the rich should pay higher taxes and that it’s fair that approximately the top 10% of tax payers pay more than 70% of the taxes in the US and about 40% of employed people pay no income tax.
  • 93% say that student loan debt should be forgiven
  • 98% believe that health care should be free
  • 98% believe that Insurance companies make too much money and some of their profits should be taken to pay for more healthcare for others
  • 95% believe that drug prices should be controlled
  • 93% believe that communications like cell phone and internet access be a right and not just reserved for the rich and we should have free internet and cell phone service as a national goal.
This pretty much looks like a standard bunch of barking moonbat liberals. They have an overdeveloped sense of entitlement and a sock-it-to-the-rich mentality. The survey was allegedly of 50 different people, but you could have asked President Obama the same questions 50 times and gotten a similar result. The protesters also hated drug companies, oil companies, Congress and banks. They had better views of President Obama, unions and tech companies. They rated Wikileaks highest of all organizations.

Well I can agree with them on the insurance companies. They are making a killing. My parents had a tough decision recently..to drop my mom from my dads company insurance coverage. Why? Because it was by that time..costing my father more than $12,000 a year out of his yearly take home pay that it just wasn't worth it.
