After calling for Romney to release 23 years of tax records, Team Obama dodges question when asked if Obama will do the same.

Team Obama called on Mitt Romney to release 23 years of tax records.
“Our message to Mitt is simple: If you don’t have anything to hide, release your taxes just like every other candidate for president does,” campaign manager Jim Messina told reporters. He highlighted Romney’s use of a Swiss bank account and Cayman Islands investment fund as particular areas of concern.

Messina noted that Romney reportedly turned over 23 years of tax returns to John McCain’s campaign when he was being considered as a running mate in 2008 and suggested he do the same for the public. When pressed on whether that meant Obama would do the same, Messina demurred, noting only that Obama has released his records going back to 2000.
They dodged the question when asked if Obama will do the same. Don't look for this to come up again.
Obama campaign manager Jim Messina suggested Romney release 23 years of tax returns, noting that he had reportedly given that many years’ worth to John McCain when he was being vetted as a potential running mate. But when asked by the Huffington Post’s Sam Stein whether Obama had plans to release 23 years of returns himself, Messina pointed to Obama’s 12 years of returns without committing to further releases.
