Wave Alert: Joni Ernst leaps to 7-point lead in Iowa...

Surfs up... Republicans are powering toward a huge victory November 4th.
Joni Ernst has charged to achieve a 7-point lead over Democrat Bruce Braley in a new Iowa Poll, which buoys the GOP's hope that an Iowa victory will be the tipping point to a Republican takeover of the U.S. Senate.
Ernst, a state senator and military leader, enjoys 51 percent support among likely voters. That's a majority, and it's her biggest lead in the three Iowa Polls conducted this fall. Braley, a congressman and trial lawyer, gets 44 percent, according to The Des Moines Register's final Iowa Poll before Tuesday's election.
"This race looks like it's decided," said J. Ann Selzer, who conducted the poll for the Register. "That said, there are enormous resources being applied to change all that."

Joni Ernst is now 6 points ahead of Democrat in Iowa Senate race...

Joni Ernst is making Democrats squeal in Iowa.
[...]The Democratic U.S. Senate candidate is 6 points behind his GOP rival, Joni Ernst, according to The Des Moines Register's new Iowa Poll of likely voters.
Ernst leads 44 percent to 38 percent in a race that has for months been considered deadlocked. She leads nearly 4-1 with rural voters, and is up double digits with independents.
"Very interesting, and good news not just for Ernst but also for the GOP's chances of taking the U.S. Senate," said national political prognosticator Larry Sabato of "Sabato's Crystal Ball."[...] Keep on reading...

What would 2014 be without a Democrats' Waterloo...

Joni Ernst will make Democrats squeal?

Via The Hill:

Will Iowa be Dems’ Waterloo?

Iowa was never supposed to be a Senate battleground for Democrats.
Following two cycles where it was GOP missteps and subpar candidates who cost them winnable races, the tables have turned and it’s now Democrats who are scrambling to right Rep. Bruce Braley’s flagging campaign before it’s too late.
Recent polls find a coin-flip race between Braley and Iowa state Sen. Joni Ernst(R), and but the national party increasingly worries it could be the tipping point for Senate control.
“If the Democrats lose Iowa, of course it becomes much harder to keep the majority,” said one national Democratic strategist. “The race could very much go either way. We feel like the worst is behind us and it's moving back towards Bruce Braley. But we know we don't have this wrapped up.”
Braley’s biggest gaffe took place months ago, when video surfaced of the former trial lawyer criticizing Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) as a “a farmer from Iowa who never went to law school.” Read it all...

Squeal: Iowa Republican Senate candidate Joni Ernst has an 18 point lead now...

Joni Ernst is for real...

Via Breitbart:
Ernst, who has been endorsed by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and became a household name with her hog castration ad, has 36% in the poll, which was released on Saturday evening. Mark Jacobs, the more liberal businessman who has poured millions of his own money into the race, has 18%. A candidate needs to receive more than 35% of the vote to avoid a nominating convention, which would favor Sam Clovis and Ernst. Former U.S. Attorney and Iowa football player Matt Whitaker, whom Texas Governor Rick Perry endorsed, has 13% while Clovis, the former talk radio host who has been endorsed by social conservatives like the Family Leader's Bob Vander Platts, has 11%. Scott Schaben, who has failed to gain much traction, has 2%.
J. Ann Selzer of Selzer & Co., which conducts the Iowa Poll, said there may still be some fluidity in the race because 16% of likely GOP primary voters remain undecided and nearly 75% of voters "could be persuaded to vote for someone else."
According to the Register, "a bad sign for Jacobs" is that "his numbers dropped through four days of polling."

Interesting: GOP Iowa candidate Joni Ernst grew up "castrating hogs"

Joni Ernst is a nice contrast to all the metro-sexual men and big city feminist the democrats run.
