Heroes: New York Yankees will pay for Officer Rafeal Ramos‘s children’s education

The Yankee Silver Shield Foundation was founded in 1982 by late Yankees owner George Steinbrenner.

Via Mediaite:
In a 24-hour period of heartbreaking news surrounding the murders of two NYPD officers, there is finally some good news: The New York Yankees will pay for Officer Rafeal Ramos‘s children’s education, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.
The Yankee Silver Shield Foundation, founded in 1982 by late Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, pays for the education of children of NYPD, FDNY, and Port Authority officials who died in the line of duty.
Officer Ramos has a son in college, and another 13-year-old son Jaden, who mourned his father’s death on Facebook yesterday. Both will have their college education paid for by Steinbrenner’s foundation. Officer Wenjian Liu, also killed, did not have any children and was recently married.

The Fukushima 50 are ready to die to save their country

Real heroes still exist.
The so-called Fukushima 50, the team of brave plant workers struggling to prevent a meltdown to four reactors critically damaged by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, are being repeatedly exposed to dangerously high radioactive levels as they attempt to bring vital cooling systems back online.

Speaking tearfully through an interpreter by phone, the mother of a 32-year-old worker said: "My son and his colleagues have discussed it at length and they have committed themselves to die if necessary to save the nation.

"He told me they have accepted they will all probably die from radiation sickness in the short term or cancer in the long-term."

Capt. Richard Phillips wife said he thinks the military are the "real heroes" of his ordeal

This will be a huge disappointment to the Main Stream Media and Barack Obama's supporters. Here is the story from breitbart.com.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The wife of sea Capt. Richard Phillips says her husband praised the military for rescuing him and called them the "real heroes" of his ordeal.

Andrea Phillips held a news briefing at a Burlington, Vt., hotel, where a spokeswoman for her husband's employer read a statement on her behalf.

Andrea Phillips says the hardest part for her was not knowing what her husband was enduring. She says she is proud of her husband and thanks everyone for giving her "the strength to be strong for Richard."
