(CNSNews.com) – Speaking at an event held in a private home in San Francisco on Friday evening, President Barack Obama warned: “Well within our children’s lifetimes, on our current pace, the oceans go up maybe two, maybe three, maybe four feet.”
In the speech, the president said: “There are two things in particular that these days I’m spending a lot of time thinking about. The first is the changing nature of the economy.” The other, he said, is “climate change.”

Barack Obama claims oceans may rise four feet during our children’s lifetimes
Sea levels have been rising in modern times about a 1/10 of an inch per year, but has tapered off in the last few years. Interestingly, this corresponds with the leveling off of the satellite temperature data. Assuming our children live another 50 years, oceans would rise another 5 inches. Obama must use that common core math.

Chart of the Day: Data Fails to Show Sea Level Rise Acceleration Predicted By Global Warming Believers
Anthropogenic (man-made) global warming
believers love to claim "the science is settled." The rational response to that claim is "in God we trust," all others must bring data. The 2004 IPCC report predicted an accelerating rate of sea level rise.
Various pundits and scientists keep talking about a threatened acceleration in the sea level rise. Here’s the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report:The chart posted below clearly shows anthropogenic forcing isn't accelerating sea level rise. Actually, the chart shows sea level rise is slightly moderating in the last decade.
Anthropogenic forcing is also expected to produce an accelerating rate of sea level rise (Woodworth et al., 2004).

Chart of the Day: Global Sea Level Predictions
The chart below shows seal level predictions from the anthropogenic global warming
crowd and the actual change. Telling, isn't it?

Please read the rest here.Gore, Schwarzenegger, and the IPCC made their mark through their dramatic predictions of catastrophic sea level rise due to increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere causing global warming. Gore once predicted that sea levels would rise by twenty feet over the century. Last year, Schwarzenegger unveiled a map showing world sea levels rising by 1.5 meters over the next century. In 2001, the IPCC predicted that sea level would rise by three feet over the next century. Their past predictions and the accurate satellite measurements are shown in the chart below:

Rising Sea Level Study Used to Support IPCC 2007 Claim Has Been Withdrawn

Sell your scuba gear. The claim that oceans would rise by between 7cm and 82cm by the end of the century has been withdrawn. Global Warming scientists now say they don't know how much sea levels will rise in the next 90 years. This is the first ever paper retracted by Nature Geoscience.
Announcing the formal retraction of the paper from the journal, Siddall said: "It's one of those things that happens. People make mistakes and mistakes happen in science." He said there were two separate technical mistakes in the paper, which were pointed out by other scientists after it was published. A formal retraction was required, rather than a correction, because the errors undermined the study's conclusion....
Nature Publishing Group, which publishes Nature Geoscience, said this was the first paper retracted from the journal since it was launched in 2007.
