Report: ISIS Second In Command Killed By Air Strike...

Bonus points for killing him in a mosque...

Via BBC:
The second-in-command of Islamic State (IS) has been killed in a US-led coalition air strike in northern Iraq, the Iraqi ministry of defence says.
Abdul Rahman Mustafa Mohammed, also known as Abu Alaa al-Afari, was at a mosque near Tal Afar that was targeted, spokesman Brig-Gen Tahsin Ibrahim said.
However, the US military later denied coalition planes had attacked a mosque.
In recent weeks, there were unconfirmed reports that Afari had taken temporary charge of IS operations.
Iraqi sources claimed IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had been incapacitated as a result of an air strike in Iraq in March.
Gen Ibrahim told the BBC that Afari was killed alongside dozens of militants who he had been meeting at the al-Shuhada (Martyrs) mosque in the village of al-Iyadhiya, near Tal Afar, where he was reportedly a well-known preacher.

Fail: WH blames Amtrak derailment on GOP not funding infrastructure. Train speed was over 100 in a 50 mph curve...

Josh Earnest would apologize if he had any character, but he doesn't.

Via National Journal:
Calling the Amtrak train derailment a “horrific incident,” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said investment in upgrades to the rail system’s infrastructure remain important to the administration. And President Obama, he said, has long advocated for Amtrak investments that would “benefit the traveling public.”
But Earnest was quick to note in his press briefing Wednesday that congressional Republicans have blocked such investments in the past.
“Unfortunately we have seen a concerted effort by Republicans for partisan reasons to step in front of those kinds of advancements,” Earnest said, noting that the cause of the crash is still under investigation, and it’s unclear whether infrastructure problems were involved.

Mother sues Board of Education after son arrested for4 wearing NRA t-shirt

Let's hope she wins and the school board is ousted at the next election.
LOGAN, W.Va. – The mother of a West Virginia middle schooler who was suspended for wearing a National Rifle Association t-shirt to school is suing the Logan County Board of Education for allegedly violating her son’s constitutional rights.

Tanya Lardieri filed the lawsuit on behalf of her son, Jared Marcum, who was charged with disrupting the educational process and obstructing an officer in 2013 when he refused to turn his NRA t-shirt inside-out, the Charleston Gazette reports.
Those charges were later dismissed by a judge, but Marcum was forced to serve a one day suspension for his defiance.
“The shirt was an un-alarming olive green tee shirt bearing the NRA logo, which is the letters ‘NRA’ in black, the words ‘PROTECT YOUR RIGHT,’ an image of a hunting rifle and the officials NRA logo which has an eagle and two cross firearms,” according to the lawsuit cited by the Gazette.
NRA protect your right
The lawsuit names several school board members, the school district superintendent, as well as the principal, a teacher and staffers at Logan Middle School, according to the Logan Banner.

Video: Obama Dismisses Wealthy Americans As 'Society's Lottery Winners'

Obama Dismisses Wealthy Americans As 'Society's Lottery Winners'

If people inherited their money, you could call them life's lottery winners, but many worked 60 to 8/0 hours a week for decades to achieve success. Obama and liberal Democrats believe all the wealth in the country belongs to all the people regardless of effort. You didn't build that in their eyes.

Another #Obamacare exchange bites the dust...

Hawaii is throwing in the towel on their $205 million taxpayer funded exchange.
Despite over $205 million in federal taxpayer funding, Hawaii’s Obamacare exchange website will soon shut down.  Since its implementation, the exchange has somehow failed to become financially viable because of lower than expected Obamacare enrollment figures. With the state legislature rejecting a $28 million bailout, the website will now be unable to operate past this year.
According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser the Hawaii Health Connector will stop taking new enrollees on Friday and plans to begin migrating to the federally run Healthcare.gov. Outreach services will end by May 31, all technology will be transferred to the state by September 30, and its workforce will be eliminated by February 28.
While the exchange has struggled since its creation, it is not for lack of funding. Since 2011 Hawaii has received a total of $205,342,270 in federal grant money from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In total, HHS provided nearly $4.5 billion to Hawaii and other state exchanges, with little federal oversight and virtually no strings attached.
In my opinion, Hawaii is one of the most incompetent state governments in the nation. It is the most heavily democratic state in the nation. If you ever tried to deal with any Hawaii public employee, you will know what I mean.

Lame Duck: Democrats Block Obama's Trade Deal

The end is near...

Via Washington Times
Senate Democrats filibustered Tuesday to block the first major free-trade vote in years, dealing a blow to President Obama and GOP leaders who were pushing a deal in a rare show of bipartisanship, but who once again find themselves struggling with the political fringe.
Unlike the last few years’ worth of conservative objections, this time it was liberals who balked and pulled moderate Democrats with them, putting the brakes on the bipartisan push and imperiling the rest of the spring congressional agenda.
The White House said the filibuster was only a “procedural snafu” and urged GOP leaders in Congress to work it out differences with the moderate Democrats, who are insisting that any free trade legislation be coupled with other bills including customs enforcement, which contains a provision punishing other countries deemed guilty of manipulating their currencies for trade advantages.

No change: Jeb Bush and Obama immigration positions are virtually the same

Obama said he would gladly rescind his illegal immigration EO memorandum if Republicans give him the comprehensive reform bill he wants. Jeb has said the same thing. You would have a hard time sliding a piece of paper between their positions.

Via Hot Air:
The headlines I’ve seen this morning about this exchange claim that Bush said he wouldn’t rescind Obama’s executive action “right away,” which is sort of true. What Jeb said is that he’d rescind the amnesty as part of a deal with Congress on immigration. That won’t happen on day one of his presidency, so yeah, technically O’s order would remain intact for at least a few months while President Bush works out the details of the new bill with the House and Senate. But focusing on the timing misses the point of what Jeb’s implying: If Republicans in Congress refuse to go along with his plan for a new comprehensive bill, Bush 45 will presumably … keep Obama’s executive amnesty in place indefinitely. The price of getting it rescinded is to give the president what he wants, at least to some degree, on immigration. That’s the same type of Hobson’s-choice extortion that Obama’s been engaged in for most of his second term. Congress can either pass what the White House demands or the White House will simply pass it for them. Now here’s Jeb suggesting he’ll use O’s actions as leverage against the legislature too. Even worse, when Megyn Kelly raises the possibility that Obama’s amnesty will be struck down in federal court, Jeb says he thinks the legal challenge will succeed. Does that mean he thinks O’s order is illegal? If so, why on earth isn’t he promising to undo it on day one as president, no questions asked, as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have promised to do?
