Hoekstra: CIA Interrogation Techniques Worked
President Obama released the legal documents that are the underpinning of the enhanced interrogation techniques. He has refused to release the documents that will show whether they worked or not. If they support his decision to end the use of these techniques, why won't Obama release them? Rep. Pete Hoekstra, ranking Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, is joining the call for the release of these documents.
(CNSNews.com) - The ranking Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence told CNSNews.com that releasing Central Intelligence Agency documents describing the effectiveness of the enhanced interrogation techniques that the CIA used on a few high-level terrorist detainees would show that these techniques worked.
Pres. Obama is cherry picking what documents to declassify and release to the public based on whether it will bolster his position on being against enhanced interrogation techniques. I am glad that Hoekstra has requested for the release of the CIA documents that Cheney wants released. I believe that the American public is to some extent owed the truth, as to whether or not these techniques worked or not.

Excellent analysis of what is happening. Obama wants to make the Bush administration look bad, but not torpedo Nancy Pelosi.

The issue is, it's torture. Whether or not it's torture that worked or not is not the issue.

Torture is pulling peoples finger nails out. If pouring water on a terrorists face saves American lives, then so be it.
