Democrats are unhappy Republicans are trying to cut their free propaganda arm

This Is NPR: The First Forty Years

NPR has long pursued a liberal propaganda agenda that closely aligns with the Democratic Party. They receive significant taxpayer funding. Republicans plan to end that outrage, but Democrats are objecting.
(The Hill)- Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) slammed a budget proposal from House Republicans as an effort to appease “its extremist Tea Party caucus,” pointing to such spending cuts as the defunding of public radio and TV stations.

House Republicans have proposed to cut funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which oversees money allocated to public broadcasting stations.

There is absolutely no justification for the funding of leftwing radio and TV. (BTW, leftist Pacifica Radio also gets those funds)
