Guess which former democratic presidential nominee is back to chasing ambulances.

If you guessed John Edwards, you are correct.
Former Sen. John Edwards came within a few electoral votes of being vice president of the United States. But now, after a loss in the 2004 election, a brief run in 2008 ended by spectacular adultery and love-child scandal, a hung jury in a multiple-felony campaign-finance case, and the death of wife Elizabeth, Edwards has returned to the occupation in which he first made his name: the practice of personal injury law.
Edwards’ new firm, Edwards Kirby, based in Raleigh with an office in Washington, is pursuing customers with all the zeal of a late-night, local-cable informercial. Its website – call 1 (866) 409-2250 — is dominated by the words: “…AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” and outlines the firm’s expertise in personal injury litigation.
“Whether your loss occurred on an operating table, a factory floor, at the workplace or on the highway, our wrongful death lawyers will explore every avenue of recovery,” the Edwards Kirby site says. “We have a history of securing record-setting verdicts and settlements in cases involving personal injury, including: Trucking and Auto Accidents; Wrongful Death and Catastrophic Injury; Drowning Accidents; Burn Injuries; Construction and Premise Liability; [and] Defective or Unsafe Products.”
Edwards has scored some of his biggest wins in medical malpractice suits; indeed, he was once so successful that he was accused of driving entire fields of medical specialists out of North Carolina and sending insurance rates through the roof. The new Edwards Kirby firm is looking for the same type of business. “Whether your case involves birth injuries caused in the delivery room, botched surgery or a missed diagnosis, the medical malpractice lawyers at Edwards Kirby can advise and represent you,” the website says.

Former presidential candidate John Edwards has a life-threatening hair heart condition

John Edwards attorneys seek to delay his croiminal trial because he has a life-threatening hair heart condition. Let's just be thankful there isn't anything wrong with Edwards' hair. 'Breck girls' are hard to come by these days.
(CNN) -- A federal judge disclosed Friday that former presidential candidate John Edwards has a life-threatening heart condition, a court source confirmed to CNN.

Edwards had sought a delay in his criminal corruption trial, scheduled to begin this month.
Attorneys and the federal judge met in a North Carolina courtroom Friday afternoon for a status hearing regarding the pending trial of Edwards, a former U.S. senator.

Edwards appeared at Friday's hearing. His lawyers had made the motion for a delay under seal, but some of its details were publicly revealed by the judge in the open hearing.

The criminal trial has been delayed until at least March 26, according to the court source.

Grand Jury to Indict Demo John Edwards?

That is being reported by the National Enquirer. Don't laugh. The National Enquirer is in the running for a Pulitzer Prize for being the only national publication with the courage to investigate and report John Edwards extramarital relationship and cover-up with campaign videographer Rielle Hunter. The National Enquirer is reporting Edwards will be indicted for campaign violations related to paying his mistress Rielle Hunter.

In another shocker, close sources say Edwards’ estranged wife Elizabeth could help send the former presidential candidate to jail!

John Edwards accused of using campaign money to cover up Rielle Hunter affair

Reportedly, John Edwards is being investigated for using campaign money to cover up the Rielle Hunter affair. Rielle Hunter was a videographer who worked for the Edwards campaign. She later had a child that some say belongs to John Edwards. Edwards eventually admitted to the affair, but denies paternity. The Daily News reports:
The feds are investigating whether former Sen. John Edwards broke any laws - besides those of decency - when he cheated on his dying wife with a campaign staffer.

The US attorney apparently wants to know if the 2008 Democratic presidential candidate paid off mistress Rielle Hunter by siphoning cash from his campaign war chest or programs he set up to help the poor.

Hunter gave birth to a daughter in February 2008, just as the affair was hitting the headlines. Her sister claimed the child is Edwards' and that he paid to keep the unemployed videographer away from reporters.

I am surprised he had any money left over after buying hair care products.
