Obama administration to help Iran get around new visa restrictions passed by Congress

Dumbest administration ever...

Via Fox News:
Republicans on Monday blasted Secretary of State John Kerry for suggesting in a letter to his Iranian counterpart that the administration could help the country get around new visa restrictions passed by Congress.
“Instead of bending over backwards to try to placate the Iranian regime, the White House needs to be holding it accountable for its recent missile tests, its continued support for terrorism, and its wrongful imprisonment of Americans,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce, R-Calif., said in a statement to FoxNews.com.
At issue are tightened security requirements for America’s visa waiver program, which allows citizens of 38 countries to travel to the U.S. without visas. Under changes in the newly signed spending bill, people from those countries who have traveled to Iran, Iraq, Syria and Sudan in the past five years must now obtain visas to enter the U.S.

Hypocrisy Alert: Guess which climate alarmist is heavily invested in fossil fuel companies...

It's Lurch.

Via Heartland Institute:
In a March 12 address to the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C., Secretary of State John Kerry warned that climate change outranks terrorism, epidemics and poverty as the worst threat facing the world today. Our only salvation, he asserted, lies in an energy policy that replaces fossil fuels with solar, wind and other “clean energy.”
However, at the same time he gave this crisis speech, public records indicated that Secretary Kerry personally owned an estimated three to six million dollars in stocks of more than 50 oil and gas-related companies. Records from 2004 show that he’s been constantly and deeply invested in fossil fuels for at least a decade, and is still injecting millions in working capital into the very industries he condemns. What is the public to think of a cabinet-level prophet of climate doom who says one thing and does such another? Read it all...

John Kerry declares world safer than ever

What is Lurch smoking?

JOHN KERRY: Our citizens, our world today is actually, despite ISIL, despite the visible killings that you see and how horrific they are, we are actually living in a period of less daily threat to Americans and to people in the world than normally, less deaths, less violent deaths today than through the last century.

Amusing: John Kerry tells Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, “Just ignore Obama’s statements.”

Everyone should ignore Obama's comments. He is the biggest liar ever.

Via NY Observer:
Though it went entirely unnoticed in the Western press, all major Russian news outlets – RIA Novosti, Sputnik, RT, and others – were only too happy to report on what US Secretary of State John Kerry said last week to the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in private: “Just ignore Obama’s statements.”
According to Mr. Lavrov, John Kerry advised him not to pay too much attention to the US President’s harsh rhetoric directed toward his state. As recently as September, during his speech to the 69th UN General Assembly in New York, Mr. Obama puzzled and shocked Mr. Lavrov by placing “Russian aggression in Europe” in second place among the world’s threats, behind only the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, resigning to third place the “brutality of terrorists in Syria and Iraq.” “Aggressive Russia” again was included in Mr. Obama’s world top-danger list during November’s G20 Summit in Australia.
According to a translation commissioned by the Observer, Mr. Kerry advised Mr. Lavrov to “just ignore Obama’s statements.” Google translator phrases the nuance slightly differently: “Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says US Secretary of State John Kerry called on him to ‘pay no mind’ to a statement by President Obama.” But the take-home message is clearly the same.

Secretary of State John Kerry doesn't seem to care if Syrian border town of Kobani falls to ISIS

Lurch is an idiot.

Via Breitbart:
Monday, Secretary of State John Kerry downplayed the importance of defending the besieged Syrian border town of Kobani despite widespread reports that ISIS is using its success there as a recruiting tool.
Kerry said, “Kobani is one community, and it’s a tragedy what is happening there, and we don’t diminish that. But we have said from day one it is going to take a period of time to bring the coalition thoroughly to the table, to rebuild some of the morale and capacity of the Iraqi army, and to begin to focus where we ought to be focusing first, which is in Iraq.”

Unlikely: John Kerry thinks open borders are needed to contain Ebola...

Could John Kerry be anymore clueless?
KERRY: We need to quickly move to contain the spread of Ebola. We need borders remain open. And we need to strengthen the medevac capacity. We need countries to contribute for Ebola centers and other African countries to join the effort and we need to make sure the health care workers who go properly trained.

Sec. of State John Kerry tries to explain the greenhouse gas effect...

It is obvious Kerry doesn't really understand the greenhouse gas effect. He was classically trained as a lawyer, not a scientist. John should definitely try to keep his day job.

John Kerry said
In fact, this is not really a complicated equation. I know sometimes I can remember from when I was in high school and college, some aspects of science or physics can be tough – chemistry. But this is not tough. This is simple. Kids at the earliest age can understand this.
Try and picture a very thin layer of gases – a quarter-inch, half an inch, somewhere in that vicinity – that’s how thick it is. It’s in our atmosphere. It’s way up there at the edge of the atmosphere. And for millions of years – literally millions of years – we know that layer has acted like a thermal blanket for the planet – trapping the sun’s heat and warming the surface of the Earth to the ideal, life-sustaining temperature. Average temperature of the Earth has been about 57 degrees Fahrenheit, which keeps life going. Life itself on Earth exists because of the so-called greenhouse effect. But in modern times, as human beings have emitted gases into the air that come from all the things we do, that blanket has grown thicker and it traps more and more heat beneath it, raising the temperature of the planet. It’s called the greenhouse effect because it works exactly like a greenhouse in which you grow a lot of the fruit that you eat here.
This is what’s causing climate change. It’s a huge irony that the very same layer of gases that has made life possible on Earth from the beginning now makes possible the greatest threat that the planet has ever seen.

Useful idiot John Kerry: Mother Nature is “screaming at us” over carbon emissions

Calm down Lurch, the sky is not falling.

Via Fox News:
… Earlier at the event, Kerry delivered a climate change rallying cry ahead of Tuesday’s Summit. Explaining that Mother Nature is “screaming at us” over carbon emissions, Kerry compared climate change to challenges such as terrorism, poverty, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
“As Secretary of State, I promise you I am personally committed to making sure that this is front and center in all of our diplomatic efforts,” he said.

Useful Idiot John Kerry: "We must repudiate the gross distortion of Islam that ISIS is spreading."

While it is true that not all Muslims support extremism, enough do to dispel the myth that terror groups like ISIS are way out of the Muslim mainstream.
JOHN KERRY: Finally, you can not overstate this, we must repudiate the gross distortion of Islam that ISIS is spreading. Put an end to the sermons by extremists that brainwash young men to join these movements to commit mass- atrocities in the name of god.

John Kerry insists that Islam is a “peaceful religion based on the dignity of all human beings”

John Kerry is a useful idiot at best. He should go to Iraq and Syria and personally negotiate with the peaceful Muslims there.

Via CNS News:
One day after the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) released a video showing the brutal beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff–the second American journalist ISIS has decapitated on video–Secretary of State John Kerry gave a speech saying that Islam is a “peaceful religion based on the dignity of all human beings,” and that ISIS is not “the real face of Islam.”
“I want to take advantage of this podium and of this moment to underscore as powerfully as I know how, that the face of Islam is not the butchers who killed Steven Sotloff. That’s ISIL,” Kerry said at a ceremony honoring Shaarik Zafar, who was just appointed as the State Department’s special representative to Muslim communities.
“The face of Islam is not the nihilists who know only how to destroy, not to build,” he said. “It’s not masked cowards whose actions are an ugly insult to the peaceful religion that they violate every single day with their barbarity and whose fundamental principles they insult with their actions.”
“The real face of Islam is a peaceful religion based on the dignity of all human beings,” Kerry said. “It’s one where Muslim communities are leading the fight against poverty. It’s one where Muslim communities are providing basic healthcare and emergency assistance on the front lines of some of our most devastating humanitarian crises. And it is one where Muslim communities are advocating for universal human rights and fundamental freedoms, including the most basic freedom to practice one’s faith openly and freely.

Secretary of State John Kerry asks if global warming is fake, "what’s the worst that can happen?"

The world could waste billions trillions of dollars and damage economic growth based on a fraud?

Via The Weekly Standard:
Secretary of State John Kerry did not shy away from pejorative language when addressing "climate change" in his commencement speech at Boston College on Monday.  Kerry referred to those skeptical of the Obama administration's climate claims as "members of the Flat Earth Society" who are "risking nothing less than the future of the entire planet"...[...]
If we make the necessary efforts to address this challenge – and supposing I’m wrong or scientists are wrong, 97 percent of them all wrong – supposing they are, what’s the worst that can happen? We put millions of people to work transitioning our energy, creating new and renewable and alternative; we make life healthier because we have less particulates in the air and cleaner air and more health; we give ourselves greater security through greater energy independence – that’s the downside. This is not a matter of politics or partisanship; it’s a matter of science and stewardship. And it’s not a matter of capacity; it’s a matter of willpower.

John Kerry running away from congressional subpoena on Benghazi security...

Lurch can run, but he can't hide...
Via McClatchy:
The State Department is doubling down on its opposition to Secretary of State John Kerry testifying on the deadly Benghazi attack, saying in a statement overnight that a congressional committee should find “a more appropriate witness.”
Kerry will be on a previously scheduled official trip to Mexico on May 21, the day the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee subpoenaed him to testify, State spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in the statement.
Psaki said State Department officials had been in touch with the committee to “determine how to resolve their subpoena,” but she stopped short of confirming that Kerry would ever appear at a hearing related to the Sept. 11, 2012, attack, which predated his time in office.

Stupid: Secretary of State John Kerry blames Boko Haram terrorism on poverty...

Kerry is dumber than a rock...
Via CNS News:
Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday underlined the issue of poverty as a recruitment tool for extremist groups like Boko Haram, although analysts and Nigerian officials have for months been reporting that the organization is forcibly conscripting civilians, including children, into its ranks.
During his recent Africa trip leaders had told him that much of the challenge in confronting violent extremist groups like Boko Haram lies in fighting poverty, Kerry said at a Council of the Americas conference in Washington.
“They all talked about poverty and the need to alleviate poverty, and that much of this challenge comes out of this poverty where young people are grabbed at an early stage, proffered a little bit of money,” he said.
“Their minds are bended, and then the money doesn’t matter anymore. They’ve got the minds, and they begin to direct them into these very extreme endeavors.”
The Islamist terrorist group has waged a violent campaign against Nigerian Christians and government targets since 2009, but shot to global prominence in recent weeks with its kidnapping of more than 200 schoolgirls in the country’s north-eastern Borno state. Its leader has described them as “slaves” and is threatening to sell them or “marry” them off.
Kerry’s comments on poverty as a key factor follows others by State Department officials in recent years, focusing on socio-economic issues rather than the religious element when discussing Boko Haram.
“It is important to note that religion is not the primary driver behind extremist violence in Nigeria,” then-assistant secretary of state for African affairs Johnnie Carson told a Senate committee in March 2012. He said Boko Haram “attempts to exploit the legitimate grievances of northern populations to garner recruits and public sympathy.”

Donkeygate: John Kerry asks African leaders if they traveled by donkey...

The embarrassment meter just exploded.

Via Breitbart:
Secretary of State John Kerry opened his remarks to African Union leaders gathered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this weekend by asking whether some had traveled by donkey.
"Thank you, Mr. President, for being here. And thank you, all of you, for treading up the hill to join me this morning. I saw a couple of donkeys out there. Did some of you come up on the donkeys? (Laughter.) But a lot of buses and cars, and I am very, very appreciative."
The meeting, officially entitled the "Fourth Session of the U.S.-AU High-Level Dialogue," addressed a number of issues on which the U.S. is working with African leaders, including conflict resolution, democracy, trade, and development.

John Kerry compares CAGW skeptics to "Flat Earthers;" doesn't know president of Flat Earth Society is a global warming believer.

CAGW skeptics get compared to Flat Earth Society members again...
JAKARTA, Indonesia — Climate change may be the world’s “most fearsome” weapon of mass destruction and urgent global action is needed to combat it, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Sunday, comparing those who deny its existence or question its causes to people who insist the Earth is flat.
In a speech to Indonesian students, civic leaders and government officials in Jakarta, Kerry laid into climate change skeptics, accusing them of using shoddy science and scientists to delay measures needed to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases at the risk of imperiling the planet. He also went after those who dispute who is responsible for such emissions, arguing that everyone and every country must take responsibility and act immediately.
John Kerry must not know the president of the actual  Flat Earth Society is a global warming believer.
But the Flat Earth Society is a real group, and its president says he believes climate change is real. He also doesn't like being used as an example of backward thinking on the issue.
"For what it's worth, the Flat Earth Society doesn't have an 'official' position on climate change. That falls a bit outside our remit," Flat Earth Soceity President Daniel Shenton told Business Insider in an email from England.
"Personally, though, I believe the evidence available does support the position that climate change is at least partially influenced by human industrialization."
The president of the Flat Earth Society believes in anthropogenic global warming and doesn't want to be used as an example of backward thinking. I am speechless.
