Sen. Claire McCaskill touts Hillary Clinton as more qualified for president than Obama...

I was more qualified to be president than Obama was when he run in 2008.
Via Politico:
Sen. Claire McCaskill took aim at Karl Rove on Sunday for his comments on Hillary Clinton’s health, adding Republicans are nervous to run against her in 2016.
“We all know what this is,” the Democrat from Missouri said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “It’s a cheap political shot. It’s the kind of politics that make people not want to participate, and it’s too bad.”
Earlier on the same program, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Republicans weren’t worried about facing Clinton in 2016 because she’s a known commodity. But McCaskill disputed that assessment:
“This is a strong, smart leader who is going to be a terrific president. And I don’t care what Reince Priebus says, they do not want Hillary Clinton,” McCaskill said. “Because they know she is going to ignite a spark and enthusiasm across this country and she has got the strongest resume for president of anyone who’s run in a very long time.”

Latest Democrat to discover they have evolved on gay marriage: Sen. Claire McCaskill

Proving, yet again, Democrats will say anything to get elected...

Via ClaireCMCTumblr:
The question of marriage equality is a great American debate. Many people, some with strong religious faith, believe that marriage can only exist between a man and a woman. Other people, many of whom also have strong religious faith, believe that our country should not limit the commitment of marriage to some, but rather all Americans, gay and straight should be allowed to fully participate in the most basic of family values.
I have come to the conclusion that our government should not limit the right to marry based on who you love. While churches should never be required to conduct marriages outside of their religious beliefs, neither should the government tell people who they have a right to marry.

Can Todd Akin really be this stupid or is he a democrat plant?

It is time to wonder if Todd Akin is a democrat plant. After all, democrats spent over $1,00,000 in the Republican primary to help Akin win. Within a week of winning the GOP nomination, Todd Akin steps in it deeply on an interview question he should have been well prepared for. Then, he refuses to step aside after all national money is pulled and he is asked to quit by almost every Republican and Conservative in the country. He had already claimed he wasn't dropping out. There was no need to call a Friday afternoon press conference if he is staying in. Friday afternoon press conferences are for thing you want to fly under the radar. The only thing this one served was possibly Akin's ego. We can only conclude from this series of events that Todd Akin is either dumber than a bucket of rocks or a democrat plant.

Via FOX News:
A defiant Rep. Todd Akin vowed Friday to stay in the race for Missouri Senate, reaffirming that he will not bow to pressure from Republican Party leaders to withdraw over his controversial comments on rape and abortion.
The Republican congressman, who had already stated earlier in the week that he was staying in the race, called a press conference late Friday to say it again -- as GOP officials continued to call on him to step aside.
"Apparently, there's some people who are having trouble understanding our message. I'd like to be clear on that today -- that we're going to be here through the November election, and we're going to be here to win," Akin said.

Running Scared: Claire McCaskill will skip the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte

You would think Obama was radioactive or something...

Via TPM:
Claire McCaskill will not be attending the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, a McCaskill aide confirmed to TPM Tuesday. McCaskill joins a list of vulnerable Democratic politicians whose home districts are hostile ground for President Obama and who will be steering clear of the convention.
“In years when Claire is on the ballot, she has historically not gone to the convention,” the aide said, “because she believes it’s important to stay in Missouri to talk to voters.”
The aide stressed that McCaskill did not attend the 2004 Democratic National Convention, when she was running for governor of Missouri.
The aide said the decision was just made Tuesday afternoon.
In 2008, Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill was touted as a possible running mate for Barack Obama. She was honored to speak on behalf of Barack Obama at the 2008 Democratic Convention.

Demo Sen. Claire McCaskill Calls for Americans to “Take up Pitchforks” if Tax Increases Don’t Go Through!

Sen. Claire McCaskill admits hiking taxes on the wealthy is really class warfare, but she claims it is about the middle class. McCaskill alleges Republicans want to raise taxes on the middle class. That is unfounded. The truth is 47% of Americans don't pay any federal income tax. If we are going to cut federal income taxes, they must be cut on the upper middle class and wealthy. Nobody else, besides businesses, is paying any significant amount of federal income tax. Many Americans receive more money back, in the form of tax credits, than they payed in. Democrats should keep running on the "raise taxes" theme. They don't seem to have learned the lesson of 2010. Sen. Claire McCaskill is up for re-election in 2012.

Missouri Demo Sen. Claire McCaskill thinks voters reject Obamacare because they are too stupid to know what is in it

Sen. Claire McCaskill plays the Nancy Pelosi card and says voters don't like Obamacare because they don't know what is in it.

The Hill reported:
"I certainly noticed the vote on Prop C, the healthcare law, and: message received. I think there has been ... a lot of noise about the mandate that people have gotten so focused on that they don't realize that there's going to be more access and affordability and more choices."
