Confirmed: Rapists and Pedophiles Will Get Subsidized Viagra Under ObamaCare

Republicans tried to block Obamacare from providing sex offenders and pedophiles from getting Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs. Democrats voted their amendment down. Senator Max Baucus called their amendment a
"crass political stunt aimed at making 30-second commercials, not public policy."
Now, the Congressional Research Service has confirmed Sen. Tom Coburn's assertions that sex offenders not in prison could get Viagra and other drugs treating erectile dysfunction under Obamacare.

FOX News reported:
Sen. Tom Coburn drew ridicule last month for trying in vain to prohibit sex offenders from getting Viagra prescriptions under the new health care law.

But Coburn is now having the last laugh after the Congressional Research Service confirmed his assertions that sex offenders not in prison could get Viagra and other drugs treating erectile dysfunction under health plans subsidized by taxpayer dollars.

Democrats Vote to Give Viagra to Pedophiles

I reported yesterday Republicans were introducing an health care reform reconciliation bill amendment to prevent pedophiles and sex offenders from getting Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs. No one is in favor of this. Right? Oops! Democrats voted down this amendment because they didn't want House Democrats to have to repeat their tough votes to takeover health care. A ruling by the Senate Parliamentarian has torpedoed that plan.

Politico reported:
Democrats killed an amendment by Republican Sen. Tom Coburn to prevent the newly created insurance exchanges from using federal money to cover Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for rapists, pedophiles and other sex offenders. The amendment failed 57-42

"The vast majority of Americans don't want their taxpayer dollars paying for this kind of drug for those kind of people," Coburn said.

Democratic Sen. Max Baucus urged his colleagues to defeat the amendment.

Reconciliation Fun With Democrats

Democrats are using reconciliation to pass completely partisan takeover of American's health care. Reconciliation has never been used for any partisan measure of this scope. It is unprecedented. Senate Republicans can not completely stop this process because they lack the numbers. However, they can make Democrats pay for their arrogance. If the reconciliation bill is changed in any tiny way, it has to go back to the House for another vote. This forces Democrats to vote against any amendment Republicans introduce. So, Republicans will introduce an amendment to ban giving Viagra to convicted child molesters and other sex offenders. Democrats will have to vote to keep the Viagra flowing.
The idea is that by securing even a slight adjustment in the language, the Senate will have to send the bill back to the House of Representatives for reconsideration. Drawing out the process makes it more likely for it to be tripped up.

On Tuesday, the GOP put its strategy into action, with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okl.) introducing an amendment beyond agreeable. Titled “No Erectile Dysfunction Drugs To Sex Offenders” it would literally prohibit convicted child molesters, rapists, and sex offenders from getting erectile dysfunction medication from their health care providers.

Boxer Plays The Penis Pill Card To Support Abortion Funding (video)

Senator Barbara Boxer equated taking Viagra with having an abortion in a bizarre twist of logic yesterday. Boxer was speaking against Sen. Ben Nelson’s (D-NE) amendment to prohibit federal funds from being used for abortion.

From the video:
BOXER: There’s nothing in this amendment that says if a man some days wants to buy Viagra, for example, that his pharmaceutical coverage cannot cover it, that he has to buy a rider. I wouldn’t support that. And they shouldn’t support going after a woman using her own private funds for her reproductive health care. Is it fair to say to a man you’re going to have to buy a rider to buy Viagra and this will be public information that could be accessed? No, I don’t support that. I support a man’s privacy, just as I support a woman’s privacy.

This comment really got the liberals stirred up over at Think Progress.
"Conservatives don’t need Viagra. We have beautiful, sexy women."
