Confirmed: IRS targeted donors to Tea Party 501(c)(4) organizations for audits...

Time to lock some people up and do away with the IRS.

Via Judicial Watch:
(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it has obtained documents from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that confirm that the IRS used donor lists to tax-exempt organizations to target those donors for audits.
The documents also show IRS officials specifically highlighted how the U.S. Chamber of Commerce may come under “high scrutiny” from the IRS. The IRS produced the records in a Freedom of Information lawsuit seeking documents about selection of individuals for audit-based application information on donor lists submitted by Tea Party and other 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organizations (Judicial Watch v. Internal Revenue Service (No. 1:15-cv-00220)).

Shocker: Lois Lerner tried to get GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley audited...

What a left-wing democratic hack...
Washington, DC – Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) announced the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) targeting of conservative individuals includes a sitting United States Senator. According to emails reviewed by the Committee under its Section 6103 authority, which allows the Committee to review confidential taxpayer information, Lois Lerner sought to have Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) referred for IRS examination.
“We have seen a lot of unbelievable things in this investigation, but the fact that Lois Lerner attempted to initiate an apparently baseless IRS examination against a sitting Republican United States Senator is shocking,” said Camp. “At every turn, Lerner was using the IRS as a tool for political purposes in defiance of taxpayer rights. We may never know the full extent of the abuse since the IRS conveniently lost two years of Lerner emails, not to mention those of other key figures in this scandal. The fact that DOJ refuses to investigate the IRS’s abuses or appoint a special counsel demonstrates, yet again, this Administration’s unwillingness to uphold the rule of law.”

Unbelievable: Cancer patient who spoke out against Obamacare suddenly gets audited by the IRS...

Is anyone surprised?  Under the Obama administration, the IRS has become a political tool.

Via FPM:
Bill Elliot was a cancer patient who lost his insurance due to ObamaCare and couldn’t pay the expensive new premiums. He was talking about paying the ObamaCare fine, going without health insurance and “letting nature take its course.”
He went on FOX News where his story was picked up by C. Steven Tucker, a health insurance broker who helped him keep his insurance.
Now suddenly Bill Elliot is being audited for 2009 with an interview only scheduled in April 2014. Assuming he lives that long. That might be a coincidence, but Tucker is being audited back to 2003.
That’s a rather strange coincidence.

IRS Audits Single Mom Because She Is 'Too Poor'

Rachel Porcaro, a 32-year-old single mom with two boys.

A single mom in Seattle made $18,992 in the previous year cutting hair at Supercuts. The IRS audited her because they claimed she was too poor to live in Seattle. She lived with her parents and has two children. The IRS claimed she owed the government more than $16,000 in back taxes. It took two years and $10,000 in accountant bills to get the IRS to admit she was just being honest. They still won't let her claim her children because they can't determine who is really supporting them. If we could only get the IRS to be as tough on tax cheat Charlie Rangel.

The Consumerist reported:
A single mom in Seattle thought she was playing by the rules. She earned under $19,000 per year as a hairdresser, supported her two children, and shared a home with her parents. Then the IRS audited her, claiming that she simply didn't earn enough money to be able to live in Seattle, and must be hiding something. Two years and $10,000 in accountant bills later, the IRS has determined that she isn't trying to run a scam, but can't figure out who her children are dependents of.
