GOP Rep.Allen West: “I think that former Speaker Pelosi is somewhat delusional,”

Only somewhat delusional? Rep. West is too nice.

Via Politico:
Rep. Allen West on Friday called Nancy Pelosi “somewhat delusional” for refusing to say that the individual mandate of the Affordable Care Act constitutes a tax, and likened the mandate to forcing people to “buy a 9mm Glock.”
“I think that former Speaker Pelosi is somewhat delusional,” West said on Fox News. “You have to remember that this is the person who said that we have to pass this bill in order to find out what is in his bill. So there has been a deception against the American people from the onset.”
After the Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama’s health care law Thursday, Republicans pounced on the president and Democratic lawmakers for having argued during the health care debate that the individual mandate was not a tax. The high court said in its decision that Congress could require almost all Americans to buy health insurance through its authority to tax.

Delusional Nancy Pelosi: "we have to have revenue and have to have growth"

Surely she can't mean private sector job growth. Taking money out of the free enterprise system will stifle job creation. She must mean growth in the size of government.
(The Hill) — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday challenged Speaker John Boehner to move forward with cutting middle class tax rates and blasted him for calling for matching cuts before agreeing to raise the debt-ceiling limit.
“Last year, just the threat of not lifting the debt ceiling caused us to, our credit rating to be lowered. This is not a responsible, mature, sensible place for us to go. We all know we have to reduce the deficit. We have to do it in a balanced way,” said Pelosi on ABC’s “This Week.”
“The speaker wants to go over the edge,” she added. “We have cut a trillion, over a trillion dollars in the Budget Control Act since the Budget Control Act of last year. There has to be more reductions but we have to have revenue and have to have growth.

Delusional: Nancy Pelosi says, "I think it’s really important to know that President Obama was a job creator from day one,"

Nancy Pelosi must have found President Obama's reefer stash.
(CNS News)- Since President Barack Obama signed his $825 billion economic stimulus plan into law in February 2009, the national unemployment rate has risen from 8.2 percent to 9.1 percent. But House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) said at her press briefing Thursday that if the stimulus had not been enacted the unemployment rate would now be 15 percent.
At a press briefing only a month ago, Pelosi said that if the stimulus not been enacted unemployment would have reached 14.5 percent by the time of the November 2010 elections.

"I think it’s really important to know that President Obama was a job creator from day one," Pelosi said at her Thursday briefing. "Now, was the ditch that we were in so deep that when you’re talking to people and they still don’t have a job, that that’s any consolation to them? No.

Delusional Nancy Pelosi: "The momentum is with us."

In an NPR interview, Nancy Pelosi refused to accept the possibility she would have her gavel taken away after this November. Pelosi claimed passing Obamacare is an advantage for Democrats.
... It is definitely an advantage for us because we have aligned ourselves with those who passed Social Security, Medicare and now health care for all Americans as a right not a privilege.

And she refused to acknowledge the tidal wave of voter anger headed Democrats way.
First of all , I don't accept that premise in any way shape or form. The momentum is with us. We are out there to dispel many of the misrepresentations that have been going out there for nearly two years by the Republicans and the special interests, the oil industry, the health insurance industry, the banks and their allies.
