90% of NY Gun owners refusing to comply with Safe Act registration requirement...

Gun owners know registration is the precursor to confiscation.  Many tout Australia as a model for gun control. Prior to 1996, Australia has strict gun registration laws. In 1996, they banned all semi-automatics, self-loading guns and even pump shotguns.

With the April 15 deadline for gun registration under the SAFE Act fast approaching, estimates indicate over 90 percent of gun owners have yet to comply.Making matters worse for elected officials--and Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) in particular--is the fact that many law enforcement officers at various levels have openly stated that they will not enforce SAFE Act requirements. According to BearingArms.com, while the state waits for the "registration of 1 million firearms designated as 'assault weapons' under the NY SAFE Act," leaks believed to be coming from within the New York State Police indicate the number registered to date is "as low as...3,000-5,000 firearms."This is figure is impossible to verify beyond a shadow of doubt because a provision in the SAFE Act forbids law enforcement from releasing registration figures.

Where is the one depicting Midde Eastern Muslims as "extremists?"

The YouTube channel Patriot News Organization on Thursday uploaded a training video from the Department of Homeland Security that depicts a fake news broadcast about a police SWAT team raiding an American house and arresting “extremist” members of a “local militia group” for possession of illegal firearms and planning to commit terrorist attacks.

“Very disturbing video straight from DHS website – they use it to help train all of the deputized agencies during a crisis, even hospital administrators, media faces, everything and everyone that would be involved in such an event,” reads the Patriot News Organization’s description of the video.

Exactly when the video was made is unclear, but the video description links to a DHS website featuring documents that were uploaded in 2009 and 2012.

In the video, a fake local news anchor comes on the screen with breaking news.
“Reports of possible illegal activity by a local militia group appears to have spurred law enforcement into action,” the anchor says.

The video then cuts to “John Gleason” at the site in front of a house with fake fire fighters and SWAT officers swarming the area.

“This is the scene of an intensive investigation into the operations of an extremist group reportedly planning a series of terrorist attacks on U.S. cities,” Gleason says. “Details are sketchy, but allegedly the militia was using this house to store a cache of military weapons.”

Poll: 65 percent would defy law requiring them to give up their guns...

As anti-gun lawmakers push for a government ban of more than 150 types of firearms, a new Fox News poll shows that two-thirds of American voters who have guns in their household would “defy” any law requiring them to give up the guns.

A majority of poll respondents – 52 percent – revealed that someone in their home owns a gun. Those respondents were then asked, “If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?”

Approximately 65 percent indicated they would “defy the law,” including 70 percent of Republicans and 52 percent of Democrats who answered the question. Only 22 percent said they would “give up” their guns, while 13 percent were not sure.
