Last gun shop in San Fransisco throws in the towel...

Videotaping every transaction and turning over customer personal data to the police weekly was just too much. This is the height of stupidity. Most criminals get guns on the street or from friends or relatives.

Via FOX News:
Ever since it was opened in the 1950s by a celebrated Olympic shooter, High Bridge Arms has been a defiant fixture in San Francisco’s Mission District, but a coming wave of new firearms restrictions has prompted the last gun shop in the liberal City by the Bay to pack it in.
The proposed new city regulations, which could only be aimed at High Bridge Arms, would have required the shop to take and preserve video of all transactions and turn customers’ personal data over to police on a weekly basis. General Manager Steven Alcairo said the shop’s owners finally threw in the towel after years of what they consider being unfairly targeted with burdensome rules and regulations. Past regulations have required the shop to bar ads and displays from its windows and install cameras and barriers around its exterior. The shop has 17 cameras as it is, and turns video over to police on request, he said.

Eastern Kentucky gun shop declares their business "Muslim free."

The Owner claims the sign doesn't mean he won't sell to people of the Muslim faith. Hmm...

Via WLEX 18:
The owners of an Eastern Kentucky gun shop made their feelings known this week, by hanging a sign that's causing quite a bit of controversy. However, the Letcher County store owners said it's their First Amendment Right to declare their business "Muslim free."
"It just says Muslim Free gun shop," said Jill Stidham. She and her husband own Jace Firearms. However, their few short words are causing quite a stir in Whitesburg.
"That's not freedom of speech, that is discrimination," said Anthony Stamper, as he walked past the store.
"He's an American and he's got his rights and he can do what he wants to," added Jordan Reynolds as he walked past the business.
Right or wrong, the owners of Jace firearms said it's their right to say what they want. Read it all...

Texas Gun Shop Sign: “Does one of Obama's family members have to be beheaded for “change” to happen?”

Fearless...

Via KHOU
It’s not the first time Tactical Firearms has displayed a controversial message on its outdoor marquee, but its latest sign seems to be turning more heads than usual.
It says “Does one of Obamas family members have to be beheaded for “change” to happen?”
CEO Jeremy Alcede says it’s a fair question, in the wake of two American journalists being beheaded by ISIS militants.
“I look and see what’s going on throughout the week, realize what’s an issue, what needs to be fixed, and if I think it’s important then that’s what I’ll voice my opinion,” says Alcede.
And for families driving by, who find the message offensive, Alcede says they use the opportunity to educate their children.
“You should show them the news and say this is reality kids. Beheadings happen, but they shouldn’t.”
Past signs have included shots at the President over immigration reform and gun control.
