Obama is a very polarizing President

President Obama's year two presidency is most polarizing in generations.
PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama's job approval ratings were even more polarized during his second year in office than during his first, when he registered the most polarized ratings for a first-year president.
Obama also registered the highest polarization rating for year one.

Obama is Most Polarizing First First-Year President Ever

Barack Obama promised to bring a new tone to Washington. He has failed miserably on that promise. Never in recent memory has there been less bipartisanship or rancor between Republicans and Democrats. A new Gallop survey has found president Obama to be the most polarizing first-year President ever by a wide margin.

PRINCETON, NJ -- The 65 percentage-point gap between Democrats' (88%) and Republicans' (23%) average job approval ratings for Barack Obama is easily the largest for any president in his first year in office, greatly exceeding the prior high of 52 points for Bill Clinton.
