Tweet of the Day: Piers Morgan zings Obama for poor Obamacare enrollment numbers..
Heh...
Considerably more Americans signed a petition to have me deported, than enrolled for Obamacare. I'd start panicking, Mr President...

The heck with consumers: Obama is worried failed healthcare reform roll-out is hurting Democrats...
It figures...
Via Washington Examiner:
Via Washington Examiner:
President Obama acknowledged Thursday that the problem-ridden rollout of open enrollment in the new health care law had hurt Democrats politically.
“There is no doubt that our failure to roll out the ACA smoothly has put a burden on Democrats, whether they’re running or not, because they stood up and supported this effort through thick and thin,” Obama said Thursday, announcing that insurers could allow customers to stay on cancelled plans for another year.
“I feel deeply responsible for making it harder for them rather than easier for them to continue to promote the core values that I think led them to support this thing in the first place,” he added.

Washington declines to help Obama fix his messed up healthcare reform...
I doubt Obama really cares. He just wanted a plan where he could blame someone else. The likely scapegoats will be insurance companies and states.
SEATTLE (AP) – Washington state’s insurance commissioner says President Barack Obama’s proposal on old insurance policies isn’t a good deal for Washington citizens.
Commissioner Mike Kreidler said Thursday he won’t allow insurance companies to extend their old policies that didn’t meet the requirements of federal health care reform. An estimated 290,000 Washington residents have received notices that their old insurance policies will be canceled.
“Trying to do what the president has proposed would be very disruptive to the insurance market in the sate of Washington so no, we will not be allowing insurance companies to extend these policies,” he said. “You’d have to go back and re-rate all of the policies, and the premises for what they originally proposed rates would all change.”
Kreidler, a Democrat, says all of them can get better coverage on the new health care exchange. He says at least half of them will qualify for a subsidy to help them pay the premium.
House Demo Aide: House Demos will "go crazy" if cancelled healthcare plans aren't fixed by Friday...
Going crazy means voting with the Republicans...
Via The Hill:
Via The Hill:
House Democrats on Wednesday expressed increasing frustration at the Obama administration’s inability to improve the rollout of ObamaCare.
Democrats said they’re worried about “being dragged into this non-stop cycle” of bad news about the ObamaCare rollout, rather than celebrating the successes of the law they helped to pass, a Democratic aide said.
“They’re voicing those frustrations with the administration,” the aide said following a Democratic Caucus meeting where administration officials got an earful from exasperated lawmakers.
With the House vote just two days away, many Democrats are urging the White House to come up with an administrative alternative to legislation sponsored by Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) that would allow insurance companies to offer their old insurance plans.
The GOP bill is a response to the nearly 5 million people who have seen their health plans canceled under ObamaCare.
Two centrist Democrats — Reps. John Barrow (Ga.) and Mike McIntyre (N.C.) — already have endorsed the Upton measure, but that number could rise if the bill comes up for a vote without a Democratic alternative providing some political cover.
A second Democratic aide warned that if the administration doesn’t provide such a substitute by Friday, many members will “go crazy.”

Actual Good News: Gang Of Eight Immigration Bill Dead For 2013
Harry Reid and John McCain hardest hit...
Via The Hill:
Via The Hill:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) chided Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) for his refusal to negotiate with the Senate on immigration reform.
“I'm stunned,” Reid said in an interview Wednesday with Fusion, a joint venture by ABC News and Univision. “How could anybody in good conscience tell one group he's trying to do immigration reform, and a few minutes later, say 'I'm not going to do anything about a conference?' "
Earlier in the day, Boehner reiterated what he’s said before on immigration reform: “I'll make clear we have no intention ever of going to conference on the Senate bill."
His comments confirmed the House will not take up the issue this year, which President Obama and Democrats have pressed for. Last week, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) also ruled it out for 2013, arguing there are too few legislative days remaining in this session.
Quinnipiac poll: 25% think Joe Biden would be a good President...
I am surprised the number is that high...

Nearly 65 percent of voters think Vice President Biden would not make a good president, according to a new poll.
A Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday shows only 25 percent of voters think Biden would make a good president. Ten percent said they do not know.
Tweet of the Day: Pelosi Spins Horrible Obamacare Numbers...
By "500,000 have already secured coverage," Pelosi means 400,000 have signed up for the Medicaid entitlement gravy train. Only about 100,000 have signed up to buy insurance and three fourths of them did it on state exchanges. There isn't enough lipstick to make this pig look good.
FACT: Despite website glitches, ≈1m have applied and are eligible to #getcovered on #ACA marketplaces. 500,000 have already secured coverage
