Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes on Wednesday twice refused to say whether she would have voted for President Barack Obama’s signature health care law.
Asked two times whether she’d have voted for the 2010 overhaul, the Kentucky Democrat who is challenging Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell told The Associated Press: “I, when we are in the United States Senate, will work to fix the Affordable Care Act.”
Grimes added: “I believe the politically motivated response you continue to see from Mitch McConnell in terms of repeal, root and branch, is not in reality or keeping … with what the facts are here in Kentucky.”

Demo Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes won't say if she would have voted for Obamacare...
Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes won't say if she would have voted for Obamacare. I will answer for her. Hell yeah she would have if they needed her vote. Every democratic Senator in the Senate voted yes.

La retraite: Pelosi names democrats to serve on Benghazi select committee.
Nancy Pelosi sounds the retreat. Somehow, the mainstream media will spin this as a democrat victory.

Obama reacts to VA scandal by A) Sending in the FBI, B) Forming a Cabinet level team, C) Dispatching one aide.
If you chose C, you are correct. Look for Obama to actually verbally acknowledge the crisis sometime in the next couple of weeks hours.

One of President Obama’s top aides is being dispatched to Phoenix this week to investigate deaths allegedly connected to a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center there, part of the administration’s efforts to contain growing outrage over delays in treatment and accusations of rigged recordkeeping at veterans hospitals.
Rob Nabors, a White House deputy chief of staff, has been assigned to assist top VA officials in probing allegations of wrongdoing by staffers at the Phoenix facility and elsewhere, the White House said Tuesday. He will be meeting with Arizona hospital officials Thursday after gathering Wednesday with representatives from several veterans groups in Washington, officials said.
Poll: 9 of 10 midterm voters say health care is a major concern
November 4th could be a long night for democrats in many parts of the country...
Via Politico:
Via Politico:
The poll reveals that voters — even in the more conservative midterm states like Georgia and Arkansas, and tossup House districts in states such as Illinois, West Virginia and California — still lean in a liberal direction on several issues Democrats have championed this year, including immigration reform, pay equity for men and women and background checks for gun purchasers. But none of those issues comes close to approaching health care as a major concern for midterm voters. Nearly nine in 10 respondents said that the health care law would be important to determining their vote, including 49 percent who said it would be very important.By comparison, only 28 percent said that immigration reform was “very important” to determining their vote, and 16 percent who said the same of male-female income disparity.
McConnell trounces Bevin in KY Senate primary, but can he win in November?
In February, Matt Bevin polled better against Grimes than McConnell. Mitch McConnell has poisoned his relationship with many conservatives and Tea Party supporters. It's unlikely they will turn out with enthusiasm for him. McConnell can't win without them.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) easily defeated his primary challenger, businessman Matt Bevin, in a sour loss for the Tea Party on Tuesday night.
The Associated Press called the race for McConnell right as polls closed at 7 p.m. in the Bluegrass State, where the Senate minority leader had a two-to-one lead over Bevin.
McConnell's victory sets up a closely-watched and expensive contest against Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, one of Democrats' best hopes at a GOP pickup this cycle. Grimes also easily won her nominal primary on Tuesday.
Tea Party groups, long frustrated with McConnell’s leadership, initially had high hopes for Bevin. He drew the backing of the Senate Conservatives Fund and Madison Project, among others, and SCF invested nearly a million dollars on his bid.
