Guess who is bankrolling many of those voting rights lawsuits...
If you guessed George Soros, you win.
Via NY Times:
Via NY Times:
A Democratic legal fight against restrictive voting laws enacted in recent years by Republican-controlled state governments is being largely paid for by a single liberal benefactor: the billionaire philanthropist George Soros.
Mr. Soros, the Hungarian-born investor whose first major involvement in American politics was a voter-mobilization drive in the 2004 presidential race, has yet to commit the many millions of dollars that Hillary Rodham Clinton’s allies hope he and other like-minded billionaires will pour into the “super PAC” directly aiding her campaign.
But it turns out that Mr. Soros has already agreed to put as much as $5 million into the litigation effort, which Democrats hope will erode restrictions on voter access that they say could otherwise prove decisive in a close election.

That PEW poll showing Republicans support illegal immigration is utter cr*p...
There is a lot of buzz about this PEW poll that found 56% of Republicans favor granting legal status for people in the U.S. illegally. They asked for the youngest adult at homes with a land line. In other words, they wanted to talk to the 20 something slackers still living with their parents. Additionally, 6.6% of respondents were foreign born. The survey is also heavy on cell phone users who tend to be younger.Don't believe it.
Interviews were conducted in English and Spanish. Respondents in the landline sample were selected by randomly asking for the youngest adult male or female who is now at home. Interviews in the cell sample were conducted with the person who answered the phone, if that person was an adult 18 years of age or older. MTV: Bruce Jenner as brave as veterans...
Bullsh*t...
Via MTV News:
Via MTV News:
This image of U.S. Army veteran Noah Galloway was shared all over the Internet. It was created as a negative response to ESPN announcing that Caitlyn Jenner would receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this year’s ESPYs — but the negativity, or transphobia, was hidden in the positive description of the vet’s bravery. ESPN later confirmed to MTV that there’s “no such thing as a runner up for the [Arthur Ashe Courage award].”
Not only are images like this misleading, they suggest that one kind of courage is more valid than another — that a transgender person’s bravery is less than that of a veteran or an athlete. When you consider the statistic that 40 percent of transgender people will attempt suicide, Caitlyn’s example of living her truth has the power to give strength to so many who feel alone, trapped or confused. That’s brave

NOAA cooks surface temperature data to remove global warming pause...
The raw satellite data is the only thing we can trust at the moment.
Via Daily Caller:
Via Daily Caller:
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists have found a solution to the 15-year “pause” in global warming: They “adjusted” the hiatus in warming out of the temperature record.
New climate data by NOAA scientists doubles the warming trend since the late 1990s by adjusting pre-hiatus temperatures downward and inflating temperatures in more recent years.
“Newly corrected and updated global surface temperature data from NOAA’s [National Centers for Environmental Information] do not support the notion of a global warming ‘hiatus,’” wrote NOAA scientists in their study presenting newly adjusted climate data.
