Bye Bye Blanche Lincoln

Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out of office. Blanche Lincoln's support for Obamacare, the stimulus and other liberal big government policies have turned voters against her. She has been stripped of her alleged 'blue dog' status and exposed as a big government liberal. Her GOP opponent is beating her in the latest Rasmussen poll by an incredible 38%.

Support for incumbent Democratic Senator Blanche Lincoln has now fallen to its lowest level yet as Republican John Boozman remains on track to shift Arkansas’ Senate seat to the GOP column.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Arkansas shows Boozman capturing 65% of the vote, while Lincoln earns 27% support. Four percent (4%) like some other candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) are not sure.

There is no way she can recover from this large a gap by election day. Senator Blanche Lincoln is history.

Blanche Lincoln Still Politically Alive, But On Life Support

In a blow to unions and progressives, Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln survived yesterday's democratic primary and will face GOP Nominee John Boozman. Lincoln will need a miracle to defeat Boozman this November. The RCP polling average has Boozman up by 25 points in a head-to-head match-up against Lincoln.

The Politico reported:

Blanche Lincoln just beat Bill Halter in the Arkansas Democratic primary, according to the AP, also dealing a substantial blow to Washington’s conventional wisdom and to the labor unions who went all out to defeat her. The defeat is a real rebuke to a united progressive left, whose silver lining is having pushed Lincoln to the left on the financial reform bill.

The winner, aside from Lincoln: Bill Clinton, who stumped hard for her against what he portrayed as outside forces, and who seems to carry some real sway in his home state. . . .

Bill Clinton Rips Democratic Left A New One

The left and labor unions are working to defeat two-term Democratic incumbent Senator Blanch Lincoln. It seems Lincoln may be to much to the left to win re-election in the general election this fall, but she is still too far to the right for labor unions and liberals. Bill Clinton is 'pounding' the podium in her defense.

Politico reported:

Using unusually vivid language to describe the threat against Sen. Blanche Lincoln, Clinton urged the voters who nurtured his career to resist outside forces bent on making an example out of the two-term Democratic incumbent....

He pounded the podium with Lincoln at his side, warning that national liberal and labor groups wanted to make her a “poster child” in the June 8 Senate run-off to send a message about what happens to Democrats who don’t toe the party line.

Blanche Lincoln is Suddenly Feeling Very Independent and Centrist (video)

After a recent survey showing Blanche Lincoln losing her Arkansas Senate race to a Republican by 23 points, Senator Lincoln is attempting to race back to the middle. During the Senate democrat's question and answer with President Obama yesterday, Lincoln said of a constituent,

"fears that there's no one in your administration that understands what it means to go to work on Monday and make a payroll on Friday."

Lincoln also asked Obama to:

push back against "people at the extremes" of both parties, especially against Democrats "who want extremes."

The comments are in the first two and a half minutes of this video appears to have been released by Blanche Lincolns campaign. You don't have to watch the entire ten minutes. It is very interesting that her campaign thinks a video of her challenging President Obama is a good thing.

Senator Lincoln had a chance to challenge President Obama and democratic extremist's when Obamacare was being voted on. Instead, She followed Obama and Reid by voting with the extremists.
