Why are taxpayers funding family members of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attending his trial?

As mush as $100,000 may have been spemt for travel. hotels and security to allow family members of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to attend his trial. This is outrageous. Who is the idiot who made this decision?

The family of the convicted marathon bomber is in America, on your tax dollars, and survivors are outraged after learning the news.
As of Thursday, family members of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have been staying at the Hampton Inn in Revere under very tight security, just one of the things tax dollars are paying for. FOX25’s Sharman Sacchetti investigated how much this trip is costing you.
Sources say these family members are being called as witnesses and not only that, at least three agencies are working around the clock to protect and transport them. This is all part of the defense team’s strategy to save Tsarnaev. While it’s unclear when their flight started, we know the last part of it came through Amsterdam and landed at Logan Airport and cost nearly $2,500 per person.
The cost to put them up at the Hampton Inn at the government rate: almost $200 per night, per person. And a source says at least three agencies, the FBI, US Marshal’s and Revere Police are involved in constant protection.
“I think you’re probably talking about $100,000 plus in that neighborhood in terms of security and out of pocket costs associated with travel,” former US attorney Michael Sullivan said. Keep on reading...

(MyFoxBoston.com) – Newly revealed text messages show Boston Marathon Bomber No. 1 Tamerlan Tsarnaev was willing to die for Islam. U.S. officials are calling the text messages the most important in a series of missed signals, a vital piece of information that Russia reportedly withheld from the U.S. government prior to the bombings.

The Wall Street Journal reports that texts between Tamerlan’s mother and a relative allegedly suggest Tamerlan wanted to join Russian militant groups and spoke of general “Jihad.”
Russian agents intercepted those text messages discussing Tamerlan’s radicalization, but failed to tell U.S. officials, according to a new report.

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee said the information would have allowed the FBI to open an investigation to track Tamerlan’s communications. In addition, the paper reports after the Russian government made its query in 2011 into Tamerlan, the FBI requested three times for more information, but received none.

Law enforcement officials have told ABC News that “mounting” forensic evidence from an unsolved triple homicide ties Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to the crime.
Cell phone records also place the brothers in the area of the murders on the date they were committed.

On Sept. 11, 2011, three men were found in a residence with their throats slit and their bodies covered in marijuana.

Tamerlan described one of the murder victims, 25-year-old Brendan Mess, as his best friend. He and Mess were once roommates and boxed together. The two others who died were 31-year-old Erik Weissman and 37-year-old Raphael Teken, both of Cambridge.

The Tsarnaev family, including the suspected terrorists and their parents, benefited from more than $100,000 in taxpayer-funded assistance — a bonanza ranging from cash and food stamps to Section 8 housing from 2002 to 2012, the Herald has learned.

“The breadth of the benefits the family was receiving was stunning,” said a person with knowledge of documents handed over to a legislative committee today.

The state has handed over more than 500 documents to the 11-member House Post Audit and Oversight Committee, which today met for the first time and plans to call in officials from the Department of Transitional Assistance to testify.

Report: One Boston bomb had female DNA on it...

Investigators have found female DNA on at least one of the bombs used in the Boston Marathon attacks, though they haven’t determined whose DNA it is or whether that means a woman helped the two suspects carry out the attacks, according to U.S. officials briefed on the probe.

The officials familiar with the case cautioned that there could be multiple explanations for why the DNA of someone other than the two bombing suspects—Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his younger brother, Dzhokhar—could have been found on remnants of the exploded devices. The genetic material could have come, for example, from a store clerk who handled materials used in the bombs or a stray hair that ended up in the bomb.

On Monday, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents were seen leaving the Rhode Island home of the parents of Katherine Russell, the widow of Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The elder brother died after a shootout with police four days after the April 15 bombings.

Ms. Russell has been staying with her parents since the bombings, and FBI agents have been seen posted outside the home since her late husband was identified as one of the bombers. Her lawyer has said she is “doing everything she can to assist with the investigation.”

That’s a question leading brain researchers at Boston University’s School of Medicine hope medical examiners look into when they perform an autopsy of the 26-year-old who was killed during a firefight with law enforcement officials early Friday morning. . . .

Media accounts have chronicled rapid behavioral changes Tsarnaev experienced in his early 20s, and most have attributed those changes to his renewed commitment to Islam. Finding religion led Tsarnaev to give up boxing, alcohol, and smoking, according to the accounts, and he also took a six-month trip to his native Russia, posted radical videos posted on YouTube, and lost the man who was reportedly his best friend in a grisly triple murder in 2011. These are all plausible factors that might help explain his motives, and they’re all worthy of investigation.

But the reasoning behind mass killings like the Marathon bombing, are complex and often hard to understand, and the deaths of the killers themselves during or after the attacks can leave us largely without answers. Knowing that, it’s worth exploring every angle, including the possibility that brain injuries and CTE may have compounded problems Tsarnaev was already experiencing.

BOSTON (AP) -- The 19-year-old charged with the Boston Marathon bombing, his throat injured by a gunshot wound, wrote down answers to the questions of investigators about his motives and connections to any terror networks.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's answers led them to believe he and his brother were motivated by a radical brand of Islam without major terror connections, said U.S. officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly.

But the written communication precluded back-and-forth exchanges often crucial to establishing key facts and meaning, said officials who cautioned they were still trying to verify what Tsarnaev told them and were poring over his telephone and online communications.

The only reason the carjacking victim in the hunt for Boston Marathon bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev wasn’t killed was that he wasn’t an American, several media outlets have reported.

The victim made those statements to police, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Specifically, the report stated: The victim told police he was forced to drive the brothers in his Mercedes sport utility vehicle to a Shell gas station in Watertown, Mass. During the drive, the brothers “declared to [the victim] that they were the Boston Marathon bombers and would not kill him because he wasn’t American,” the Wall Street Journal reported.

The victim, who is unnamed, was carjacked at gunpoint shortly after the killing, allegedly by the Tsarnaev brothers, of a police office at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology late Thursday evening.

Most people believe the older brother was the leader. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev may be easy for interrogators to crack.

BOSTON – Law enforcement sources tell ABC News that the Boston Marathon bombings suspect is awake and has been responding sporadically in writing to questions. Officials say they have been asking about other cell members and other unexploded bombs. Details on any answers given have not been released.

A senior law enforcement official also told ABC News that FBI negotiators tried for roughly 20 to 25 minutes to convince suspect number two, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, to give himself up. Officials say there was a verbal exchange between them and the suspect, and then the 19-year-old eventually fell out of the boat.

Dzhokhar sustained a gunshot wound to the neck, raising questions over whether he will ever be able to talk again. Officials are trying to determine if the wound to the neck was self-inflicted.

Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis says the suspect remains in critical but stable condition, noting that he is not in a condition to be interrogated. Until that happens, police will not know definitively about other threats.

Davis said charges will be coming out in the near future for suspect. ABC News’ Pierre Thomas reports that when they do come out, the terror charges are likely to include a “weapon of mass destruction” charge which carries a penalty of death charge.

You have to actually look to find something. The mainstream media turned up Dzhokhar Tsarnaev college transcripts in two days. They haven't found Obama's after over four years.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had done well academically in high school, but The New York Times reported that he was failing many of his courses at UMass Dartmouth. The Times said a school transcript showed seven failing grades over two semesters in 2012 and 2013, including Fs in Principles of Modern Chemistry, Intro American Politics, and Chemistry and the Environment. According to the transcript, Tsarnaev got a B in Critical Writing and a D and D-plus in two other courses.

The UMass Dartmouth campus in the southeastern part of the state closed early Friday morning after school officials realized the younger of the two men authorities said were responsible for the Monday bombing was a student there.

Of course, I could be wrong. It is entirely possible some Obama fan-boy or girl in the mainstream media has Obama's college records and just won't release them because they are damaging.

The police chief, Edward Deveau, describes how cops nearly apprehended the older suspect, and were placing handcuffs on him in the middle of the street Thursday night, when the younger suspect came at officers in a carjacked SUV. The cops were able “to dive out of the way,” and the younger suspect then continued to drive directly over his brother and dragging him through the street. That’s how the older suspect died, according to the police chief.
