Flashback Mary Landrieu Video: "Unelect" Me If You Don't Like ObamaCare

Done...

Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's political oil well runs dry...

Sen. Mary Landrieu was the last Democrat to hold state wide office in the Deep South. I wonder if she regrets being the 60th vote for Obamacare this morning?
(Fox News)- Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu lost her reelection bid Saturday in a runoff race with Republican challenger Rep. Bill Cassidy, despite a relentless, against-long-odds effort.
Landrieu, who was seeking a fourth term, trailed by double digits and had lost most of her support going into the election. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting late Saturday, Cassidy had received 56 percent of the vote, to 44 percent for Landrieu.
Landrieu barnstormed the state this week, driving some 1,200 miles in a rented SUV, stopping in little towns and bigger cities, making one last appeal to voters to give her another term in Washington.
“There is no quit,” Landrieu said in her concession speech. “It’s been nothing but a joy to serve this state for over 34 years.”

Kiss of death: Obama endorses Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) re-election bid

I guess Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) has nothing to lose at this point. She is down 15 points according to some polling.
In a conference call today, President Barack Obama endorsed Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) in her bid to win her Senate seat, which she has held for more than a decade, against Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
The endorsement will most likely serve as a burden for Landrieu, rather than an asset, as a majority of Louisiana voters do not approve of Obama’s agenda and the way he has handled Obamacare or the economy.
Landrieu has spent her entire re-election avoiding Obama and his policies, which she has largely supported.

Demo Senator Mary Landrieu down by 16 points in Louisiana?

So long Mary...

Via MailOnline:
Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu is trailing her Republican challenger by a giant 16-point margin in a runoff for one of Louisiana's two U.S. Senate seats, according to poll results obtained by MailOnline.
The survey, commissioned by GOP Rep. Bill Cassidy's campaign, was leaked to media in order to fire a shot over the senator's bow and send a signal to energy lobbyists that her ship is taking on water.
It suggests that Democrats' worst fears have been realized even though Landrieu edged Casssidy by 1 percentage point on Election Day.

Desperate Sen. Mary Landrieu (D) Has Gone Rogue on Democrats...

Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu is locked in a runoff election that she has little chance of winning. She has abandoned Democrats in an attempt to save her job. Landrieu gave a three hour floor speech in support of the Keystone XL Pipeline and has finally gotten a commitment for a vote this year from Harry Reid. Afterwards, she blew off Chuck Schumer and wouldn't even speak to him. If she had done these things a years ago, she wouldn't be in the runoff. I doubt Louisiana voters will be impressed by her sudden change.
Via WaPo:
Landrieu had other ideas.
“I don’t think we necessarily need to wait until January,” she said Wednesday in a floor speech that lasted almost three hours. Landrieu made no attempt to hide her motive. “I’m going to do everything in my power here and at home on the campaign trail, where I’m still in a runoff, as you know, to get this project moving forward,” she said.
And later, she secured an agreement from Democratic and Republican leaders to hold a vote authorizing the pipeline as early as next Tuesday. House Republican leaders also announced plans to hold a vote as early as Thursday to authorize the pipeline, the ninth time the GOP-controlled House has voted to approve the pipeline in the past six years.
Before her remarks, Landrieu was spotted riding the escalator alone up from the Senate trains that carry lawmakers between their offices and the Capitol, toward a row of elevators. She was stone-faced and declined to answer questions from reporters. Once she reached the top level and stepped off, Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), one of his party’s top campaign strategists, walked over.
Smiling, he asked Landrieu to step aside for a private conversation. She shook her head and moved briskly toward the elevator. As she did, she pointed to her phone, saying she had a call. Schumer paused for a moment as she moved away. His smile dropped, and he turned to follow her. “Mary, Mary,” he said, a few steps behind, asking her to speak with him. When she kept moving and ducked into an elevator, he hustled and jumped in to join her as the doors closed.

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee throwing Sen. Mary Landrieu under the bus?

The DSCC is cancelling ad buys for her in Louisiana. Sen. Mary Landrieu isn't a critical win for them anymore.

Via Politico:
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is canceling at least some of its advertising reservations for Sen. Mary Landrieu ahead of the December runoff in Louisiana.
The committee canceled buys planned from Monday through December 6 in the Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans markets, three sources tracking the air war told POLITICO.
With control of the Senate no longer on the line, the race becomes less important for both party committees – which each took out loans in the final weeks before Tuesday’s election.

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) took 43 campaign trips that were paid for with funds for official business...

I wonder if she visited the room in Louisiana she is supposed to be renting from her parents?

Via The Hill
Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) found that over $33,700 in campaign flights were inappropriately charged to her official account in an internal review of her finances released Friday.
The report is sure to draw added scrutiny to her use of charter planes just as her main opponent, Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), is set to introduce a resolution meant to highlight such spending, which he calls a “waste of Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars.”
The review, which was released four days after her self-imposed deadline of Sept. 8, found that the senator took 43 trips, which amounted to 136 campaign functions, that were paid for by funds meant for official business only. Eleven percent of the total amount Landrieu’s office paid for chartered flights should have been paid out of her campaign funds, the review found.
Landrieu’s office said she fully reimbursed the Treasury with campaign funds and has notified the Senate Ethics Committee of the errors. She also said in a statement that she’s implemented a new bookkeeping system to prevent similar errors from happening again.[...]

Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu is 58 and still lives with her parents

Well, that is what she is claiming. Perhaps it will help her with the slacker vote.

Via WaPo:
Here in Louisiana, however, the Democrat does not have a home of her own. She is registered to vote at a large bungalow in New Orleans that her parents have lived in for many decades, according to a Washington Post review of Landrieu’s federal financial disclosures and local property and voting records.
On a statement of candidacy Landrieu filed with the Federal Election Commission in January, she listed her Capitol Hill home as her address. But when qualifying for the ballot in Louisiana last week, she listed the family’s raised-basement home here on South Prieur Street.
The New Orleans house, which Landrieu claims as her primary residence, is a new flash point in one of the most closely contested Senate races in the country. Republicans are considering taking legal action to question Landrieu’s residency in the state, arguing that since winning her seat in 1996 she has become a creature of Washington.

Demo Sen. Mary Landrieu struggling in Louisiana senate race...

Sen. Mary Landrieu is starting to look like a loser.

Via Washington Examiner
If Sen. Mary Landrieu loses her re-election bid this year, she might look back at the last few weeks as the turning point in her lengthy political career.
The Louisiana Democrat, who has repeatedly found a way to win in a predominantly red state, is stuck at the lowest point of her 2014 campaign.
The chairwoman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has been on the defensive after it was revealed that she used official Senate dollars to pay for at least four flights to campaign-related events.
Even more directly, Landrieu was outraised in the last quarter by Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and now finds herself with less cash on hand than the conservative doctor.
Landrieu has dismissed the brouhaha over her charter flights as a bookkeeping issue, but political insiders in the Bayou State say the self-inflicted wound has redefined the race.
“At first, I didn’t think it would be of any consequence, but it actually blew up and got a lot more publicity than I thought it would,” said Bernie Pinsonat, a Louisiana pollster who has worked for both Republicans and Democrats. “There’s a trend here. She can apologize all she wants, but it has clearly hurt her.”

Sen. Landrieu’s first ad claims she made Obama stop lying about people keeping their healthcare plan...

Seriously? Obamacare would never have been passed unless Landrieu took the Louisiana Purchase option and voted it into law. Harry Reid refused to bring her bill up for a vote. As for Obama now honoring his promise, that is a baldfaced lie. His rule changes only delay the lie for a few of those losing their healthcare plans.

When Sen. Landrieu learned that individuals who liked their health insurance could no longer keep it, despite the President’s promise, she wrote legislation to insure that the promise was kept. As a result, the President issued guidance allowing states and insurance companies to renew individual health plans for another year.

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) Goes Rogue and Threatens to Block Obama's OMB Nominee

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) is vowing to block a Senate vote to confirm President Obama’s choice to head the White House Office of Management and Budget unless a temporary ban on offshore oil-and-gas drilling is removed.

The Hill reported:
Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) is vowing to block a Senate vote to confirm President Obama’s choice to head the White House Office of Management and Budget unless a temporary ban on offshore oil-and-gas drilling is removed.
Her pledge to hold up the nomination of Jack Lew represents a dramatic political escalation of Landrieu’s fight against the federal moratorium on deepwater drilling and the slowdown in permits for shallow water projects.
