Unbelievable! Obama Freezes Budget for Program Designed to Stop Terrorists from Getting US Visas.

Most of the 9-11 hijackers (pictured above) were here on visas they should not have gotten. In response, the Department of Homeland Security’s Visa Security Program (VSP) was created in 2002 as part of the Homeland Security Act. Currently, only 14 of the 57 “high risk” U.S. consulates have VSB units. The program was poorly implemented by the Bush administration. Now, President Obama is completely freezing funding for this vital program. In the wake of the recent "underpants" bomber (pictured right), this lack of concern for Americans safety is incredible.

President Obama's Meaningless Budget Freeze Proposal

There has been much buzz about President Obama's proposed three year budget freeze on discretionary spending. The spending covered by President Obama's proposal is only 17% of the federal budget. It would only make a $15 billion reduction of next years $1.4 trillion projected deficit.

The WSJ reported:

To attack the $1.4 trillion deficit, the White House will propose limits on discretionary spending unrelated to the military, veterans, homeland security and international affairs, according to senior administration officials. Also untouched are big entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

More Global Cooling Anecdotal Evidence

A June 'Freeze watch' has been issued for many parts of New York. The temperatures are expected to hit what could be record lows. According to UTICAOD.com:

Local gardeners may want to take special measures to protect their plants this evening as a frost advisory has been issued for much of New York state, including Oneida County.

The advisory issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect until 8 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid-to-low 30s overnight, and a hard frost is likely as temperatures in colder areas approach freezing.

Brad Alcott, owner of Alcott's Greenhouses in Waterville, said the possible frost may catch some gardeners off guard.

"Memorial Day has always been the rule of thumb for planting in the garden. So June 1 is definitely late," he said.
