After funding Obama's illegal immigration EO, Boehner claims he will “tooth and nail” against it...

What?

Via CNS News:
(CNSNews.com) – House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) vowed today to fight “tooth and nail” against President Obama’s unilateral amnesty of up to five million illegal aliens—an amnesty the administration has been able to move forward with because Boehner’s House permitted funding of it.
The 1,603-page omnibus spending bill that Boehner pushed through a lame-duck Republican-controlled House last month put no prohibition on Obama using government funds to implement the amnesty. That omnibus funded almost all the government through the end of this fiscal year on Sept. 30 and the Department of Homeland Security through Feb. 27.

Twenty GOP Senators voted against Point of Order questioning Constitutionality of Obama's Illegal Immigrant EO (List is here)

Here are their names. Throw them all out of office at the next available election. This is as good a list of RINO's as you can find. These so-called Republican Senators think Obama giving de facto amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants against the explicit wishes of Congress and American votes is perfectly fine.

Note: Don't be confused by the Bills title at the GovTrack site. This was another sleight of hand where they took a completely unrelated bill, gutted it, and replaced it with the budget resolution. The explanation is here.https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/hr83

Note: It is strange 20 Republicans voted against the attempt to call out Obama's illegal immigration EO as unconstitutional. Some have speculated they did it in a petty fit of rage because Cruz forced them to work weekends. My guess is they are just RINOs being RINOs and have no intention to seriously fight Obama over his illegal immigration EO or any other serious issue next year.

Surprise: House GOP ready to break campaign promise to fight President Obama’s admin amnesty

Actually, very few people are surprised.

Via National Review:
Senator Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.) suggested that House Republicans are on the verge of breaking their campaign promise to fight President Obama’s administrative amnesty, as evidenced by the legislative text currently being circulated.
Sessions said that the proposed language “fails to meet [the] test” established by Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus, who promised earlier this year that the GOP would do everything possible to thwart Obama’s executive orders.
“The executive amnesty language is substantially weaker than the language the House adopted this summer, and does not reject the central tenets of the President’s plan: work permits, Social Security and Medicare to 5 million illegal immigrants—reducing wages, jobs and benefits for Americans,” Sessions said in the statement expressing his dissatisfaction with the results of a House Republican conference meeting.

Barack Obama: ‘Absolutely Not’ Legitimate for Future Presidents to Apply My Logic on Executive Actions

Barack Obama is a do as I say, not as I do kind of guy. Sorry, you can't have it both ways.

Barack Obama Twitter account: Illegal immigrant EO will boost U.S. GDP by tens of billions of dollars

Does anyone believe anything from the Liar-in-Chief anymore? Did Obama get this analysis fro Jonathan Gruber?

Here are some responses:

Interesting: AP fact checks Obama (finds he is a liar)

AP is finally coming to grip with reality?
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama made some notable omissions Thursday night in his remarks about the unilateral actions he’s taking on immigration.
A look at his statements and how they compare with the facts:
OBAMA: “It does not grant citizenship, or the right to stay here permanently, or offer the same benefits that citizens receive – only Congress can do that. All we’re saying is we’re not going to deport you.”
THE FACTS: He’s saying, and doing, more than that. The changes also will make those covered eligible for work permits, allowing them to be employed in the country legally and compete with citizens and legal residents for better-paying jobs.
___
OBAMA: “Although this summer, there was a brief spike in unaccompanied children being apprehended at our border, the number of such children is now actually lower than it’s been in nearly two years.”
THE FACTS: The numbers certainly surged this year, but it was more than a “brief spike.” The number of unaccompanied children apprehended at the border has been on the rise since the 2011 budget year. That year about 16,000 children were found crossing the border alone. In 2012, the Border Patrol reported more than 24,000 children, followed by more than 38,800 in 2013. In the last budget year, more than 68,361 children were apprehended.

House Republicans surrender to Obama's amnesty proposal, plan to trick their base supporters...

Jonathan Gruber isn't the only one who thinks you are stupid. The House GOP thinks so too...
You people are being played by the GOP. Remember when the GOP wanted to raise the debt ceiling, but claim they would oppose it. They voted to raise it, but then Congress could vote to stop the raise. The President could then veto the stoppage and the debt ceiling would raise. But the GOP could claim they opposed him.
That is happening again. This time it is with amnesty.
The House GOP is going to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government. Then, in January, they will try to defund what they’ve already funded. The President will veto it, but the GOP can say they tried.
They won in a historic wave election against the President with a majority of the public on their side on this issue and they are going to cave.
Already, the House Appropriations Committee has released a statement saying the appropriations process cannot stop the President.

WaPo gives Obama an upside-down Pinocchio for lying about immigration EO...

When the Washington post calls out a democrat for lying, you know it must be a blatant whopper.

Via Washington Post:
Question: Your administration has deported a record high number, 1.5 million, of undocumented immigrants, more than your predecessor. And I know your administration took some steps last year to protect unintended undocumented immigrants from being deported. However many people say those efforts were not enough. What I’d like to know is what you’re going to do now, and until the time that immigration reform is passed, to insure that more people aren’t being deported and families are not being broken apart.
Obama: Well, look Jackie, this is something I’ve struggled with throughout my presidency. The problem is that you know I’m the president of the United States. I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed, and Congress right now has not changed what I consider to be a broken immigration system. [...]
The Pinocchio Test
The president has certainly been consistent on this issue—until he saw that the path through Congress was blocked. It’s clear from the interviews that the president was not being asked about executive orders that would have provided comprehensive immigration reform, but about specific actions that ended deportations of a subset of illegal immigrants—precisely the type of action he will shortly unveil.
Previously he said that was not possible, using evocative language that he is not a “king” or “the emperor.” Apparently he’s changed his mind. The president earns an upside-down Pinocchio for his flip-flop.

NBC/WSJ Poll: Only 43 percent of Hispanics support executive action legalizing illegal immigrants

Obama's plan isn't even popular with Hispanics...

Via Hot Air:
NBC/WSJ found that only 38 percent of the public are happy with the president’s planned immigration order, while a full 48 percent disapprove. 11 percent of Republicans approve of the move and 37 percent of self-described independents agree. Shockingly, only 63 percent of Democrats in that survey expressed support for an executive order.
Even more surprisingly, that poll found that immigration reform via executive order is not especially popular with even Hispanic voters. Just 43 percent of Hispanics polled support an executive action creating legal status for millions of illegal immigrants while 37 percent disapprove.

Father, whose son was killed by illegal alien, asks Obama to write EO to bring his son back...

Ouch. The sad part is Obama doesn't care about anyone's deceased son. He is only interested in playing electoral politics. He thinks democrats can gain some advantage in 2016 if he issues this EO. That is his only consideration.

Via Breitbart:
A grieving father is asking President Barack Obama to bring his son, who was killed by an illegal alien, back to life with an executive order on immigration.
“While your Executive Order pad is out, can you write one to bring my son and the tens of thousands (actually over 100,000) killed by illegal aliens back to life and to bring our destroyed families back together?” asks Don Rosenberg in a letter to Obama. His son Drew was killed by an illegal alien who ran over him in 2010.
In the letter, Rosenberg notes that President Obama’s administration refused to deport the illegal alien who killed his son.
“I know that shortly you will be issuing some sort of Executive Order protecting millions of lawbreakers, many of whom have killed people but all of whom share some responsibility for those killed,” Rosenberg wrote. “I know that you want to prevent their families from being separated. By the way, your administration refused to deport the man who killed my son. I was told, ‘He’s only committed one crime of moral turpitude.’”

WH Spokesman Josh Earnest: Obama " looking forward to taking executive action on his own"

Obama, the man who would be king...
It’s time for another showdown in the country’s capital. Republicans won the Senate and full control of Congress in the midterm elections.. The president is reportedly about to counter with executive action on immigration reform, though nobody knows how far he’ll go.
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest told Fusion’s Jorge Ramos that the White House hasn’t made a final decision, but the president is ready to make good on his promise to act on behalf of the nation’s undocumented immigrants in the absence of a new law before the end of the year.
“The president is disappointed that this legislative solution won’t be achieved, but the president is looking forward to taking executive action on his own, to solve as many of these problems as he can,” Earnest said.

Obama has issued so few Executive Orders because he doesn't even bother to dignify his lawlessness

Executive Orders are constitutional and have been around since George Washington was President, but many would agree Obama is abusing the powers of the Office of the Presidency. Others seek to defend Obama. Every time Republicans or Conservatives attack Obama's lawlessness and end  runs  around Congress, his enablers claim he hasn't issued anymore Executive Orders than former President's Bush and Clinton. That is true on the surface. Obama has issued 182 EO's since he took office. Bush issued 287 in 8 years and Clinton issued 308 during his two terms. Many claim Obama's EO's are broader in scope or larger in impact than EO's that have been isued in the past. Without researching all EO's I can not agree or disagree with that claim. Barack Obama has issued EO's to change the minimum wage for federal contractors and to fight alleged climate change. Those are pretty weighty and politically contentious topics, but many are mundane. The truth is Barack Obama cares so little for the Constitution, he doesn't even dignify his lawlessness with an official Executive Order. That may seem contrary to what everyone thinks they know. For instance, we all know Obama issued an Executive Order on June 15, 2012 to defer deportation for the so-called Deamers. We were told that by many in the media. The truth is no Executive order was issued. Read the entire list of Obama's EO's here and you will not find one dealing with Dreamers. What about the 41 lawless changes Obama has made to, Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act? There must be some Executive Orders relating to those. Nope. Not a single one. Obama changed immigration law with a memorandum and healthcare law with regulations from the Department of HHS. The way Obama is doing an end run around the law and Congress certainly allows his supporters to have a good talking point about how he hasn't issued anymore EO's than other Presidents. It doesn't negate the fact he is making unlawful changes without even the thin constitutional cover of an Executive Order.

Obama's EO raising minimum wage on federal contracts is unconstitutional...

But will anyone do anything about it? GOP leaders in Congress are mostly spineless and the Supreme Court is led by constitutional traitor John Roberts.

Via NRO:
The president issued an executive order last week purporting to raise the minimum wage for employees of federal contractors to $10.10 an hour. The order is unconstitutional.
The Supreme Court made clear in Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. v. Sawyer that “the President’s power, if any, to issue the [executive] order must stem either from an act of Congress or from the Constitution itself.” Furthermore, “when the president takes measures incompatible with the expressed or implied will of Congress, his power is at its lowest ebb, for then he can rely only upon his own constitutional powers minus any constitutional powers of Congress over the matter.”
Nothing in the Constitution grants the president authority to set or raise the minimum wage independently of an act of Congress. Furthermore, although the president generally has authority to improve the efficient discharge of federal contracts, the president’s minimum-wage order is incompatible with the expressed and implied will of Congress.
Congress has made its will regarding the minimum wage for federal contractors abundantly clear in four separate statutes: The Service Contract Act, the Davis Bacon Act, the Walsh-Healey Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act...

Rasmussen: 69% of likely voters want Obama to work with Congress instead of issuing executive orders...

Obama is unable to comply. He can't or won't do a real compromise. Obama's idea of a compromise is for Republicans to give him most of what he wants and in return he doesn't call them extremists for a short time.

Via Rasmussen:
President Obama made it clear in his State of the Union speech last night that he is prepared to take independent executive action if he can’t get Congress to work with him on some major issues, but voters strongly believe it’s better for the president to work with Congress than to go it alone. However, most also think it’s more important for Republicans in Congress to work with the president than to stand for what they believe.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, taken the night before and the night of the president’s speech, finds that 69% of Likely U.S. Voters think it it better for the president to work with Congress on things he considers important. Just 27% believe it is better for the president to go around Congress if necessary to accomplish what he feels is important. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Fifty-three percent (53%) say it is more important for the Republican Party to work with the president, while 40% place more importance on the GOP standing for what it believes in. These attitudes are virtually unchanged from early November 2012 just after the president’s reelection.
But here’s the partisan rub. A plurality (49%) of Democrats thinks it’s better for the president to go around Congress if necessary, while 73% of Republicans believe it’s more important for their party to stand for what it believes in rather than to work with Obama.

King Obama asks cabinet for Royal Decree ideas...

Wonderful...

Via Washington Examiner:
As President Obama prepares for his State of the Union speech Tuesday night, he has solicited members of his Cabinet for ideas of executive actions he could take without Congressional approval that would further his goal of tackling income inequality. [...]
In addition to his Cabinet, Carney said the White House is also reaching out to business, faith and community leaders and “average folks” across the country on ideas for executive action.
On Tuesday, more than 100 independent experts submitted to the White House some 200 ways Obama can build his environmental legacy change through executive action.

Gun control has failed in the Senate. Here come the Executive Orders...

If you didn't see this coming, you don't know anything about Barack Obama. Harry Reid has shelved gun control and the Senate ,is going to move on. According to VP Joe Biden, Obama has some gun control EO's he is going to issue.

WASHINGTON — Vice President Biden told White House allies in the gun control fight Thursday that President Obama will be announcing new executive actions on gun violence in the days after the Senate voted down a gun violence bill.
On a conference call with “stakeholders,” Biden told gun control advocates that the fight is not over and that eventual action on gun control will come. Press were not invited to the conference call; a participant provided BuzzFeed with access.
“Look I know you’re going to say that I’m just being an optimist and I’m trying to put a good face on this. But you know I’ve been around here a long time and we’ve already done, because of you, some really good things,” Biden said. “Number one, the president is already lining up some additional executive actions he’s going to be taking later this week.”
After the Newtown shootings, Obama took a number of executive actions to expand research into gun violence and other areas favored by the gun control community. He took the actions without Congressional approval, leading to outrage by some conservatives.
Biden mentioned several areas where executive action has been taken, including helping schools that want them to hire more armed police offers and training teachers to identify and treat possible future school shooters.

Obama touts executive action possibilities on gun control...

Obama is preparing to use his Imperial powers....

"My understanding is the vice president's going to provide a range of steps that we can take to reduce gun violence," said Obama. "Some of them will require legislation, some of them I can accomplish through executive action. And so I will be reviewing those today, and as I said, I will speak in more detail to what we're going to go ahead and propose later in the week. But I'm confident that there are some steps that we can take that don't require legislation and that are within my authority as president, and where you get a step that, has the opportunity to reduce the possibility of gun violence, then i want to go ahead and take it."
