Nancy Pelosi on peoples perception of her: “You’d never know that I was an Italian-American grandmother.”

That's because she is a witch...

Via US News:
… Speaking of her “grandma” status, Pelosi used it as an example of something people have forgotten about her because of all the negative political ads.
“Look, I had probably $100 million mischaracterizing who I am,” Pelosi said at The Atlantic’s Shriver Report event at the Newseum. “You’d never know that I was an Italian-American grandmother.”
Her greater point was that more women don’t run for office because they don’t want to subject their families to similar scrutiny.
“If you reduce the role of money in politics and increase the level of civility in the debate, more women will run for office,” Pelosi pointed out. “And that’s a very wholesome thing.”

Nancy Pelosi and DCCC fund-raising off Occupy Wall Street

It looks like Nancy Pelosi and Democrats are "all in" on Occupy Wall Street. Good luck to them with that.

Via WaPo:
For weeks now, Republicans have attacked Democrats for voicing support for the Occupy Wall Street protesters, in particular faulting the DCCC for standing up for them. And the incidents of violence and excess have led some neutral commentators to predict that Dems will pay a political price if they align themselves with the movement.
So it’s interesting to see that the DCCC is sticking by Occupy Wall Street. Indeed, the DCCC is now raising money off that recent report of a GOP-connected corporate lobbying firm’s proposed smear campaign against the movement. Nancy Pelosi has authored a DCCC fundraising email that presents this as proof that Republicans are on the side of Wall Street and against Dems and the protesters

Living large on the Taxpayers Dime: Pelosi Jets to Oslo for Nobel Ceremony

Thankfully, Nancy Pelosi will only be Speaker of the House a few more days. Her replacement, Republican John Boehner, will fly commercial.

(Planet Washington) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will take a break from the tax cut wars Friday to head to Oslo, Norway, for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony honoring Chinese human rights activist Liu Xiaobo.

He was sentenced to 11 years in jail last year for “inciting subversion of state power” after authoring an online petition by Chinese citizens urging the Chinese government to ease its stands on democracy and human rights. He remains imprisoned.

Oh my! RNC hangs "Hire Pelosi" sign on their headquarters

The sign it replaced said "Fire Pelosi." From a purely political point of view, Republicans should root for Pelosi to be retained as House Minority Leader. Most Americans have a very poor opinion of 'Queen Pelosi.' Using her as the 'face' of the Democratic Party was a significant aid in Republican's historic mid-term election win.

Video: Delusional Nancy Pelosi Claims She "Drained the Swamp"

Nanci Pelosi's cheese has completely slipped off her cracker. If Pelosi really wanted to "drain the swamp" in Washington, she would start with the Congressional Black Caucus.

From the video of Pelosi's Daily press conference:
“Drain the swamp we did as this was a terrible place. We made a tremendous difference, and I take great pride in that."

Unbelievable! Pelosi Suggests To Aspiring Musicians "Quit Your Job, Taxpayers Will Cover Your Health Care" (video)

In an unbelievable lapse of responsibility, Nancy Pelosi suggests aspiring musicians can quit their jobs now that Obamacare has passed. They can sign up for taxpayer subsidized health care. Never mind the negative affect paying all those taxes will have on the aspirations of Americans who actually work and pay taxes.

CNS News reported:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this week that thanks to the new health-care reform law musicians and other creative types could quit their jobs and focus on developing their talents because the taxpayers would fund their health care for them.

“We see it as a entrepreneurial bill,” Pelosi said, “a bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care.”

Pelosi made the remarks while speaking at the Capitol on Wednesday to the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Summit.

Nancy Pelosi: “We Have to Pass Our Bill So That You Can Find Out What Is In It”

Can't we just read it first? Most Americans don't want to be surprised by what is hidden in those 2700 pages.

From The Corner:
You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention—it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be very, very exciting. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.

Nanci Pelosi calls CIA liars

Speaker Pelosi attacked the CIA as liars in her press conference today.

Republicans respond the Pelosi is not credible.
"It's hard for me to imagine anyone in our intelligence area would ever mislead a member of Congress," House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said at his weekly news conference. "They come to the Hill to brief us because they're required to under the law. I don't know what motivation they would have to mislead anyone."

The top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo., told FOX News that Pelosi's accusation against the CIA is "not credible."

"I am afraid she has disremembered what she went through," he said. "We have had not only the records from the CIA but the contemporaries who were there with her had other views on it, so I am afraid that this is not a credible explanation."

Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.), the ranking member on the House Intelligence committee has already submitted a request for the briefing documents Pelosi requested today. Like Perino, he was less than impressed by Pelosi's responses today.

"This is Version 5.0 from Nancy on what happened in that Sept. meeting -- I'm not sure what today's explanation means," Hoekstra told my colleague Alex Isenstadt. "I believe that information should be released. Ive called for it to be released."

On Pelosi's claim she was lied to, he replied, "That's a very, very serious charge. If you're the Speaker of the House and you say you were lied to on a national security issue, that's a serious charge."
