According to the new book “Double Down,” in which journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann chronicle the 2012 presidential election, President Barack Obama told his aides that he’s “really good at killing people” while discussing drone strikes.Peter Hamby of The Washington Post reported the moment in his review of the book.
The claim by the commander-in-chief is as indisputable as it is grim.
Obama oversaw the 2009 surge in Afghanistan, 145 Predator drone strikes in NATO’s 2011 Libya operations, the May 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden, and drone strikes that killed the Pakistani Taliban leader and a senior member of the Somali-based militant group al-Shabab this week.
His administration also expanded the drone war: There have been 326 drone strikes in Pakistan, 93 in Yemen, and several in Somalia, compared to a total of 52 under George Bush.

Amusing: White House Petition for Obama to give his Nobel peace Prize to Vladimir Putin
This petition only needs 1500 more votes and it runs to October 11, 2013. I can't wait for the White House response.
Where as Mr. Obama made a sincere commitment to starting a war with Syria, engaging our military in unwanted conflict, and doing so without the support of his people we resolve that Mr. Obama should deliver the Nobel Peace prize given to him in 2009 to a man of Peace, the President of Russia, Mr. Putin. Where as Mr. Putin enabled the United States to avoid an unwanted and unwarranted military action he has brought us to the "brink" of peace.

Obama may be the first Nobel Peace Prize winner to keep a secret 'kill list' in his office
President Obama personally oversees a secret suspected terrorist kill list. He is the judge and jury. The execution is carried out by drones. Can you imagine the liberal outrage if George W. Bush had done this?
AFP via Yahoo:
US President Barack Obama has personally overseen a top-secret process for determining which Al-Qaeda suspects should be placed on a "kill list," the New York Times reported Tuesday.
The Times, citing dozens of top officials and former advisers, said the administration had developed what it termed the "kill list" as part of a stepped-up drone war against Al-Qaeda and its affiliates in Pakistan and Yemen.
"He is determined that he will make these decisions about how far and wide these operations will go," it quoted National Security Adviser Thomas Donilon as saying.
"His view is that he's responsible for the position of the United States in the world... He's determined to keep the tether pretty short."

Could Obama's Nobel Peace Prize Be Suspended?
There was absolutely no justification for giving President Obama the Nobel Peace Prize three years ago. He had only been in office a few days and no accomplishments at the time. He still has no accomplishments that merit a Nobel Peace Prize. A formal investigation has been launched to determine if prize founder Alfred Nobel’s will is not being honored. If that is found to be true, the Stockholm County Administrative Board has the power to suspend awards going back three years.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) — Nobel Peace Prize officials were facing a formal inquiry over accusations they have drifted away from the prize’s original selection criteria by choosing such winners as President Barack Obama, as the nomination deadline for the 2012 awards closed Wednesday.
The investigation comes after persistent complaints by a Norwegian peace researcher that the original purpose of the prize was to diminish the role of military power in international relations.
If the Stockholm County Administrative Board, which supervises foundations in Sweden’s capital, finds that prize founder Alfred Nobel’s will is not being honored, it has the authority to suspend award decisions going back three years – though that would be unlikely and unprecedented, said Mikael Wiman, a legal expert working for the county.
Obama won in 2009, Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo won in 2010, and last year the award was split between Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Liberian activist Leymah Gbowee and Tawakkul Karman of Yemen.

Obama on Nobel Prize: He is keeping it because he didn't deserve it in the first place or something
In a great example of circular reasoning, President Obama doesn't see any contradiction in keeping his Nobel Peace Prize because he had two wars going on when he received it.
(Politico) — President Obama defended his Nobel Peace Prize on Tuesday, saying that Americans “don’t see any contradiction” in him ordering an attack on Libya to make sure “people aren’t butchered because of a dictator who wants to cling to power.”
“When I received that award, I specifically said there was an irony because I was already dealing with two wars,” Obama said in an interview with CNN from El Salvador. “So I am accustomed to this contradiction of being both a commander-in-chief but also someone who aspires to peace.”

Hypocrisy: 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Hosted a Lavish Dinner for Man Holding 2010 Winner Prisoner
The hypocrisy of President Obama is mind-blowing. He accepted the 2009 Nobel peace prize for good will as opposed to actual accomplishments. A little over one year later he hosts a lavish state dinner for China's President Hu Jintao. Meanwhile, President Hu Jintao is holding 2010 Nobel Prize winner Liu Xiaobo prisoner. Liu Xiaobo is a democracy activist. When Obama won the Nobel Prize, he claimed it was a "call to action."
Obama said he viewed the decision less as a recognition of his own accomplishments and more as "a call to action."It's starting to look more like a call to the dinner table. I wonder what Liu Xiaobo had for dinner that night?

Living large on the Taxpayers Dime: Pelosi Jets to Oslo for Nobel Ceremony

Thankfully, Nancy Pelosi will only be Speaker of the House a few more days. Her replacement, Republican John Boehner, will fly commercial.
(Planet Washington) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will take a break from the tax cut wars Friday to head to Oslo, Norway, for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony honoring Chinese human rights activist Liu Xiaobo.
He was sentenced to 11 years in jail last year for “inciting subversion of state power” after authoring an online petition by Chinese citizens urging the Chinese government to ease its stands on democracy and human rights. He remains imprisoned.

Donald Trump Calls for Al Gore to be Stripped of His Nobel Peace Prize

Donald Trump has the guts to state the obvious. The world is peeking behind the wizard's curtain and the global warming scam perpetuated by Al Gore and other 'warmers' has been exposed. Al Gore should be stripped of his Nobel Peace Prize for being a leading proponent of this scam.
The Mail Online reported:
Donald Trump has called for Al Gore to be stripped of the Nobel Peace prize he was awarded for campaigning on climate change.

Nobel Committee Tries to Defend Choice of Obama Because World has "Less Tension"
Nobel Peace Prize committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland admitted President Obama hasn't contributed to a "safer world," but he has contributed to a world with less "tension." If reducing "tension" is worthy of a Nobel Prize, then, manufacturers of alcohol and tobacco products deserve a Nobel Prize too.
From Hot Air:
“We simply disagree that he has done nothing,” committee chairman Thorbjoern Jagland told the AP on Tuesday. “He got the prize for what he has done.”
Jagland singled out Obama’s efforts to heal the divide between the West and the Muslim world and scale down a Bush-era proposal for an anti-missile shield in Europe.
“All these things have contributed to—I wouldn’t say a safer world—but a world with less tension,” Jagland said by phone from the French city of Strasbourg, where he was attending meetings in his other role as secretary-general of the Council of Europe.

Rasmussen: 58% Say Politics Behind Nobel Awards

Most Americans think politics were behind President Obama getting a Nobel Peace Prize. Fifty-eight percent think the motivation for the award was political. That is up from forty percent last year.
Rasmussen reported:
Americans are much more skeptical of the motivation behind the awarding of the prestigious international Nobel Prizes following President Obama's win Friday of the Nobel Peace Prize.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 58% of American adults now believe that politics plays a role in the awarding of the Nobel Prize. That's an 18-point jump from 40% a year ago.

Did Obama Deserve the Nobel Peace Prize More Than These People?

Here is a list of some of the people the Nobel Committee found to be less deserving than President Obama.
From The LRC Blog:
Sima Samar, women’s rights activist in Afghanistan: “With dogged persistence and at great personal risk, she kept her schools and clinics open in Afghanistan even during the most repressive days of the Taliban regime, whose laws prohibited the education of girls past the age of eight. When the Taliban fell, Samar returned to Kabul and accepted the post of Minister for Women’s Affairs.”
Ingrid Betancourt: French-Colombian ex-hostage held for six years.
Dr. Denis Mukwege: Doctor, founder and head of Panzi Hospital in Bukavu...
How does 'Hope and Change' trump 17 years in a Chinese prison? From President Obama's statement:
This award — and the call to action that comes with it — does not belong simply to me or my administration; it belongs to all people around the world who have fought for justice and for peace. And most of all, it belongs to you, the men and women of America, who have dared to hope and have worked so hard to make our world a little better.

DNC: Laugh at Obama’s Nobel and you side with terrorists

If you think President Obama is an empty suit and undeserving of a Nobel Peace prize, Democrats think you are siding with terrorists. Aren't they going to accuse us of being racists?
From Politico:
A top Democratic National Committee official reacted furiously to a statement from Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele mocking -- and describing as "unfortunate" -- President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize."The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists - the Taliban and Hamas this morning - in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize," DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse told POLITICO. "Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize - an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride - unless of course you are the Republican Party.
"The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It's no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore - it's an embarrassing label to claim," Woodhouse said.
Joe Scarborough Laughs at News That Obama Won Peace Prize (Video)
Joe Scarborough laughs at the news that Obama won Peace Prize. Scarborough said, "Can you ever think of a Nobel peace Prize winner that has won this award for doing less than this President?" He also said,
The White House was not amused.
"Why Did He Win It?! Let's Play the SNL Skit on Obama—'Obama is Now the World's Leading Spokesman'"
The White House was not amused.
According to Savannah Guthrie, the White House agrees. A senior administration official sent her an email that said Scarborough should “stop being an asshole.”
Obama Gets Nobel Peace Prize for Bashing America and Kissing up to Dictators
President Obama routinely bashes America in foreign speeches. He has also become pals with Hugo Chavez and other dictators. The liberal Nobel Peace Prize Committee heartily approves. Obama is being awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. It is unclear what tangible accomplishments Obama has achieved to deserve the award.
From Breitbart:

From Breitbart:
OSLO (AP) - President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples," the Norwegian Nobel Committee said, citing his outreach to the Muslim world and attempts to curb nuclear proliferation.
The stunning choice made Obama the third sitting U.S. president to win the Nobel Peace Prize and shocked Nobel observers because Obama took office less than two weeks before the Feb. 1 nomination deadline. Obama's name had been mentioned in speculation before the award but many Nobel watchers believed it was too early to award the president.
