Empire star Taraji P. Henson apologizes to LAPD for accusing them of racially profiling her son...

Many police hate cameras and react badly when they realize they are being videotaped. Cops who are trying to do a good job have should nothing to fear. In this case, the video cleared the cop and prompted an apology. This cop actually gave Taraji P. Henson's son a break. She should fund raise for good local charity that helps families of fallen officers.

Via Daily Mail:
Empire star  has issued a groveling apology to the LAPD admitting her son was not racially profiled.
The actress unleashed a scathing attack on officers earlier this week, accusing them of pulling over her 20-year-old son Marcel ‘for no reason’ to ‘illegally search his car’ in Glendale, California, in October.
But after the force released dash-cam footage showing the car streak through a red light, Henson has backtracked.
The video, released on Friday, shows Henson admit to having marijuana and Ritalin on him, before an officer also finds hash oil, a grinder and a knife.
After a short and calm conversation, the officer lets Henson drive off without a ticket.

Phoenix police officer latest to shoot unarmed black man to death...

Yes. The officer was white and the suspect does appear to be a criminal have been trying to resist or get away. It doesn't sound like the officer was assaulted in anyway. Rev. Al's frequent flyer miles are going to go up.
(Reuters) – A Phoenix police officer shot to death an unarmed black man during a struggle and authorities said the officer believed the individual had a gun, in the latest fatal incident amid national turmoil over the policing of black communities.
The Phoenix Police Department said Rumain Brisbon, 34, was sitting in a black Cadillac SUV outside a convenience store on Tuesday evening, and that two witnesses told the officer the occupants of the vehicle were selling drugs.
With police forces across the country under increased scrutiny over killings of unarmed black men, Phoenix police said in a statement that its officer called for backup, and then saw Brisbon appear to remove something from the car’s back seat.
The officer chased and caught up with him, it said, and during a struggle the policeman believed he felt the handle of a gun while holding the individual’s hand in his pocket.
It said the officer, a seven-year veteran of the department, gave him several commands to show his hands, before Brisbon “placed one or both hands in his waistband area” and then fled.
At that point a resident opened an apartment door and both men stumbled into her home, it said, adding that the officer was unable to keep a grip on the suspect’s hand.
“Fearing Brisbon had a gun in his pocket the officer fired two rounds striking Brisbon in the torso,” it said.

Paid Leave For Intoxicated D.C. Officer Who Crashed His Car Into and Shot At Car Full of Transgendered People

This is what happens when police and other public employees are allowed to form unions. This is a little talked about union secret. Unions aren't for good employees. Good employees don't need unions. Unions mainly create systems to protect bad employees from termination and guarantee they get the same pay and opportunities as the good employees. Police brass previously placed this officer on paid administrative leave for getting in a drunken argument while on duty. He should have been fired then. Also, no one on administrative leave for disciplinary reasons should be paid, unless they are exonerated at a later date.
(Washington Examiner)- Police said Furr, a 20-year-veteran, blew a 0.15 on an alcohol breath-test machine after the shooting -- nearly twice the legal limit for drivers in D.C.

He remains held on charges of DWI and assault with a deadly weapon. His first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, and he has been segregated from the other prisoners.

Furr's attorney said he could not comment about the case or Officer Furr, who police say is on paid leave.
According to charging documents, Furr got into an argument with several transgendered people outside the CVS pharmacy at 400 Massachusetts Avenue at about 4:40 a.m. Friday. He pulled a gun on one of the victims, who then reported the incident to an off-duty D.C. police officer working security at the pharmacy, charging documents said.

The CVS officer determined that Furr was an "off-duty officer, and therefore no further action was necessary," the charging document said.

The victims later saw Furr driving his Cadillac and followed him in their car, police said.
Furr got out of his vehicle, pointed the gun at the driver. The sequence of the events that followed is unclear is unclear. Patrol officers nearby said they heard the cars crash and then rapid gunfire. The victims said Furr fired first and then the cars struck. Read more here.

Anchorage Police Officer Outed As Illegal Alien

A police officer, Rafael Mora-Lopez, in Anchorage, Alaska has been discovered to be an illegal alien. Mora-Lopez status was discovered when he renewed his passport. Yes. He was ablr to get a passport the first time. It is astounding that Rafael Mora-Lopez must have passed a background check in order to become a police officer. This should highlight the dangers of failing to thoroughly vett our public servants. Presidents are not current required to undergo a background check or present any documents as proof of citizenship of legal status. If the mainstream media and the candidate's political party fail to vet a presidential candidate, an illegal alien, non citizen or non natural-born citizen could be elected as our Commander-in-Chief. Hmm...
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – For years, the man known as Rafael Espinoza was widely respected as an exemplary police officer who was popular among his peers in Alaska's largest city.

All that ended this week when authorities discovered he was really Mexican national Rafael Mora-Lopez, who was in the U.S. illegally and stole another man's identity, officials charged.
This isn't the first time this has happened.
The passport fraud case is similar to one involving a Mexican national who took the identity of a dead cousin who was a U.S. citizen in order to become a Milwaukee police officer. Oscar Ayala-Cornejo was deported to Mexico in 2007.
Has a non citizen ever been on a state's presidential ballot? Yes.
* Róger Calero (born 1969) was born in Nicaragua and ran as the Socialist Worker's Party presidential candidate in 2004 and 2008. In 2008, Calero appeared on the ballot in Delaware, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and Vermont.[50]
Is Róger Calero a citizen? No.
Calero was born in Nicaragua in 1969. He and his family fled via Los Angeles, California in 1985. Calero has been a lawful permanent resident of the United States (holding a green card) since 1990. While in Los Angeles, Calero joined a socialist movement and helped mobilize support against Proposition 187 in the early 90s.[2]
Now you can see why we need laws such as the so-called "Birther" bill Arizona's Jan Brewer recently vetoed.
