WH refers to 21-Egyptian Coptic Christians beheaded by ISIS in Libya as only ‘Egyptian citizens’.

There was no mention of them being Coptic Christians or ISIS motivation for murdering them.

The White House released a statement yesterday to condemn the beheadings of the 21-Egyptian Coptic Christians by ISIS in Libya but refused to refer to the victims as Coptic Christians or even just Christians. The statement, released by Press Secretary Josh Earnest, only referred to them as ‘Egyptian citizens’.

Statement by the Press Secretary on the Murder of Egyptian Citizens
The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptian citizens in Libya by ISIL-affiliated terrorists. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and our support to the Egyptian government and people as they grieve for their fellow citizens. ISIL’s barbarity knows no bounds. It is unconstrained by faith, sect, or ethnicity. This wanton killing of innocents is just the most recent of the many vicious acts perpetrated by ISIL-affiliated terrorists against the people of the region, including the murders of dozens of Egyptian soldiers in the Sinai, which only further galvanizes the international community to unite against ISIL.
This heinous act once again underscores the urgent need for a political resolution to the conflict in Libya, the continuation of which only benefits terrorist groups, including ISIL. We call on all Libyans to strongly reject this and all acts of terrorism and to unite in the face of this shared and growing threat. We continue to strongly support the efforts of the United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General Bernardino Leon to facilitate formation of a national unity government and help foster a political solution in Libya.

Chicago murder rate drops to 1958 level after Illinois allows conceal and carry...

In July of 2013, Illinois became the last state in the union to enact a concealed carry law. In January of this year, the state began accepting applications for permits. This week, Chicago police announced that the city’s first quarter murder rate was the lowest since 1958.

The first three months of the year saw 6 fewer murders than the same time frame in 2013–a 9 percent drop–and 55 fewer murders than 2012, according to a statement from Chicago Police. There were 90 fewer shootings and 119 fewer shooting victims, drops of 26 and 29 percent respectively, according to police statistics.
Compared to the first quarter of 2012, there have been 222 fewer shootings and 292 fewer shooting victims. Overall crime is down 25 percent from last year, and police said more than 1,300 illegal guns were recovered in the last three months.

The city of Chicago registered more homicides than any city in the nation in 2012, surpassing even New York — despite the fact that the Second City has only one third as many residents as the Big Apple.
In new crime statistics released Monday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation reported 500 murders in Chicago in 2012, up sharply from the 431 recorded in 2011. New York reported 419 murders last year, compared with 515 in 2011.
But residents of Chicago and New York were much less likely to be victims of a homicide than residents of Flint, Mich. Sixty-three murders occurred in 2012 in Flint, a city of 101,632, meaning one in every 1,613 city residents were homicide victims. Detroit, which experienced 386 homicides in 2012, was almost as unsafe; that’s enough murders to account for one in every 1,832 residents.

Shameful: Muslim countries blocked the “One-Minute of Silence” to honor the 11 murdered Israeli athletes

This is a shameful moment in the history of the Olympics.

(INN) — An Olympics official admitted that Muslim countries blocked the “One-Minute of Silence” campaign to honor the 11 murdered Israeli athletes, one of the widows said.

Ankie Spitzer, whose husband Andre was one of the athletes massacred in the Munich Games in 1972, told the European Jewish Press that Jacques Rogge, president of the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games, told her that his “hands were tied” by the admission of 46 Arab and Muslim members to the International Olympic Committee.

She replied, “My husband’s hands were tied, not yours.”

The widow has been conducting an uphill battle to convince the International Olympics Committee to remember the slain athletes with one minute of silence before the opening of the Games in London next week. It never has done so since the murders 40 years ago.

Spitzer gained support for her effort from several countries, including the United States, Britain, Australia, Belgium and Germany. A letter appealing for the minute of silence was signed by 140 Italian legislators, to no avail.

Marine cleared of murder charges for killing burglar is filing lawsuit against arresting officers

LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) - The former Marine from Belen who shot and killed a burglar on the Fourth of July three years ago is now going after the lawmen who put him behind bars.

While Luke Sanchez was cleared of all charges, a lawsuit filed Tuesday claims he never should have been arrested in the first place.

Sanchez was on his way home when he saw Gary Gabaldón, a burglar who had just broken into a propane business in Los Chavez.

He said he shot in self-defense when Gabaldón came over to Sanchez's pickup truck and attacked him.

Sanchez was charged with an open count of murder and taken to jail.[...]

The lawsuit claims three officers violated his civil rights: Deputy C. Labate, Capt. Don Donges and former Sheriff Rene Rivera.

The talk show host made headlines recently saying that one of her regrets was never having got the shamed former sportsman to confess to the killing.

And it appears her wish may well have come true with reports Simpson has already told one of her producers in an interview from jail that he knifed ex-wife Nicole in self-defence – a confession he will now repeat to the talk show queen during a spectacular televised sit down interview. …

“He told the producer: “Tell Oprah that yes, I did it. I killed Nicole, but it was in self-defence. She pulled a knife on me and I had to defend myself”,’ the insider was quoted as saying.

The O.J. Simpson trial was the biggest travesty of justice in modern times. He had motive, left his shoe print and DNA art the crime scene, the bloody murder glove was found outside his residence and the cut in the glove matched a cut on his hand. In-spite of this overwhelming evidence, an all minority jury found him not guilty. They should be ashamed. They should be very ashamed.

A Swedish model honeymooning in South Africa wanted to see how 'real Africans' live. Her new husband had a taxi take them through a township. They were carjacked and she was shot three times and killed. Her new husband denies they were being reckless...

The Sidney Morning Herald reported:

Shrien Dewani, 31, and his Swedish wife Anni, 28, were carjacked by two men wielding guns while riding in a taxi through Gugulethu township near Cape Town on Saturday.

Mr Dewani was thrown out of the car shortly after, but Mrs Dewani remained with the kidnappers and was found dead in the back seat with three bullet wounds in her chest the next morning.
