Unlikely: Woman arrested for burglarizing HS students' cars claims she was looking for ISIS (Scary mugshot)

 Lisa Carole Roche

After looking at her mugshot, ISIS terrorists might actually run if she found them.
JACKSON COUNTY -- Sheriff's officials said a woman caught burglarizing students' cars at East Central High School claimed she was looking for members of ISIS, the world's deadliest terrorist group.
Investigators believe there is no merit to the woman's claim, spokeswoman Cherie Ward said. Read more here.

Is this Team Obama's Watergate moment?

There has been a burglary with political implications...
The offices of a Dallas law firm representing a high-profile State Department whistleblower were broken into last weekend. Burglars stole three computers and broke into the firm’s file cabinets. But silver bars, video equipment and other valuables were left untouched, according to local Fox affiliate KDFW, which aired security camera footage of the suspected burglars entering and leaving the offices around the time of the incident.
The firm Schulman & Mathias represents Aurelia Fedenisn, a former investigator at the State Department’s Office of the Inspector General. In recent weeks, she raised a slew of explosive allegations against the department and its contractors ranging from illicit drug use, soliciting sexual favors from minors and prostitutes and sexual harassment.
“It’s a crazy, strange and suspicious situation,” attorney Cary Schulman told The Cable. “It’s clear to me that it was somebody looking for information and not money. My most high-profile case right now is the Aurelia Fedenisn case, and I can’t think of any other case where someone would go to these great lengths to get our information.”
According to the KDFW report, the firm was the only suite burglarized in the high-rise office building and an unlocked office adjacent was left untouched.

Burglar stuffs armed home invasion victim in closet where he stores his guns. The result is predictable...

If you are a burglar and want to lock your victim in a closet, you might want to see what is stored in there...
The victim of an armed home invasion in Houston has turned the tables on the brazen intruders after they stuffed him into a closet that turned out to be the place where he stores his gun.
Police say it all started at around 2pm Tuesday when three men broke into a home in the 8200 block of Braeburn Valley Drive and assaulted the resident.
After a brief scuffle, the hapless perpetrators shoved the man into a closet, not knowing that there was a gun in there.
When the homeowner thought the burglars had left, he went downstairs, carrying his gun in case the suspects were still around, the Houston Chronicle reported.
On the first floor, the man confronted one of his assailant and the two exchanged gunfire, according to police.
The resident, who shares the house with his parents, escaped unharmed, but the armed suspect was much the worse for wear after being struck in the shoulder and leg.
He fled on foot down the street, but did not get far before he collapsed. His two suspected accomplices took off from the scene in a Chevrolet Tahoe.

Guns stolen in 2nd burglary house listed on Journal News gun home map...

The Journal News employees have armed guards at their houses....

Via Newsday:
Two handguns and two pistol permits were stolen from the New City home of a man whose name and address are listed on the website of a local newspaper as possessing gun permits, police said.
The thieves ransacked the house Wednesday night, breaking into two safes on the home’s third floor and stealing a third safe. The guns were in the stolen safe, police said.
The burglary comes less than a week after a White Plains homeowner who, too, was listed on the Journal News website as having gun permits, arrived home to find his home burglarized with jewelry missing and an attempted break-in of his gun safe. The thieves were not successful and no guns were stolen.
The Journal News has come under fire from elected officials and police groups for posting the interactive map Dec. 23 that showed the names and addresses of all legal gun permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties.

Outed NY gun owner has burglars go for gun safe...

Who could have seen this coming? I am not a big fan of lawsuits, but I think these gun owners should sue The Journal News.

Via Fox News:
The home of a gun owner, whose address was published by a New York newspaper, has been burglarized and police believe the burglars targeted the homeowner’s gun safe.
The residence in White Plains, was identified in a controversial list published by The Journal News — a Gannett Co. newspaper. The elderly homeowner, who legally owns weapons, was not at home at the time of the burglary.
“The police are doing a full investigation,” the unidentified man told NewsDay.
The newspaper has come under intense national exposure after they published a list of residents who have gun permits.

Amusing: Nancy Pelosi got robbed on election day...literally

Police have arrested the alleged perpetrator. It wasn't John Boehner....

Via SFGate:
Rep. Nancy Pelosi won’t be House majority leader in the next Congress, but she did get a bit of consolation Wednesday — police arrested a Wine Country transient who allegedly admitted to burglarizing her Napa County vacation home, once on election eve and again on election day.
Sheriff’s deputies caught Kevin Michael Hagan, 21, during another burglary Wednesday outside St. Helena and found a watch they say was stolen from Pelosi’s home on Zinfandel Lane, authorities said.

Marine cleared of murder charges for killing burglar is filing lawsuit against arresting officers

I hope Mr. Sanchez succeeds, but most juries will protect even corrupt and criminal lawmen.
LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) - The former Marine from Belen who shot and killed a burglar on the Fourth of July three years ago is now going after the lawmen who put him behind bars.

While Luke Sanchez was cleared of all charges, a lawsuit filed Tuesday claims he never should have been arrested in the first place.

Sanchez was on his way home when he saw Gary Gabaldón, a burglar who had just broken into a propane business in Los Chavez.

He said he shot in self-defense when Gabaldón came over to Sanchez's pickup truck and attacked him.

Sanchez was charged with an open count of murder and taken to jail.[...]
The lawsuit claims three officers violated his civil rights: Deputy C. Labate, Capt. Don Donges and former Sheriff Rene Rivera.

Outrage: Homeowners in Britain Warned They Could Be Sued By Burglars If They Put Wire On Shed Windows

Homeowners in the U.K. have resorted to putting wire on their shed windows to try and stop burglars. The police are warning them they could be sued if the burglars are injured. I guess they should just put a "Welcome Boys, Take What You Want" sign. Britain is long overdue a peaceful revolution.
A spate of thefts in several towns and villages in Kent and Surrey over the past few months led to many householders taking action to protect their property.
Some have been warned by police that using wire mesh to reinforce shed windows was ''dangerous’’ and could lead to criminals claiming compensation if they ''hurt themselves’’.
